Perfect size for an RV or small cabin, considering the charge rate 24kw of battery and 9 x 550-watt panels 430 to 460 v. I just checked my solar dealer 6200usd for panels(4950w) and (24kw) batteries, 200 max for wires. Under 8000usd (tax and shipping) for a decent amount of power. These all-in-one inverters have less wires than a stereo to connect. Mine has 17 with 4 pv inputs.

This is compatible with Solar Assistant, I used it with it. Highly recommend you toss out the dongle that comes with it and just go with SA, it's SO much better of an experience and you can control most of the configuration within SA too.

I like the fact that these are stackable, and I like the 120 volt solar input. My solar is (currently 9x100 panels with potential to install additional 600watts which breaks down to from my Zendure 400 watt foldable panels and 2 more 100 watt I haven't installed as of yet. I'm upset with my Zendure unit which was the SBV 4600 that I had to return because of it smoking one morning..and Zendure customer service was not helpful, I mean for me putting in a ticket, then they ignored me for 2 moths, I ended getting my refund from HomeDepot where I bought the 121 pound beast of a battery. Thanks HOME DEPOT if your watching .

I have a pole barn that I’d like to run some lights to. What would be the best/cheap inverter to use? I’ll just need to turn a light on when backing boat, camper etc at night. Also, like to have a dusk to dawn light outside.
@neelimabaird31594 ай бұрын
Hmmm, could I EASILY wire in a 120AC surge strip AND a 30 amp plug for my RV? And would it require big panels due to that voltage? I think I'd only need about 1200-1600 watts coming in. Maybe this could take care of my stationary RV and my little shop!

Nice review. I like that it is stackable, and that you can pass AC through it when it loses battery and solar power.

You said in the video I can run pass through form PV without the Battery , but when I tried to use it even with AC and won’t run or work
@TheSolarLab2 ай бұрын
We played with this unit a little while ago, so i dont remember 100% what we needed to do - but it's likely going to be a setting that needs changing to prioritize the AC or PV over Battery!

Nice unit but what is an affordable 48v battery that can be used with it.
@maddeusdoggeus14 ай бұрын
Eg4 has a few batteries that communicate with this inverter. 5 kWh to 14.3 kWh.
@logun19703 ай бұрын
you could also use 4 100aH, 12v LiFeP04 batteries wired in a 48v configuration. Not as efficient but gets the job done for possibly cheaper.

So, can you use this as a "booster" with pass-through AC? Like if your AC in is only 10 amps, but you have a 20 amp load, can it pull the rest from the battery (assuming no solar)?
@jackh1254 ай бұрын
In short, yes. I limit my intake from grid to 10A (so it doesn't blow anything on an existing circuit) and this is what would happen at night when solar is off.

Question. On specs it is stated 1500 meters is max elevation, about 5000 feet. I am at 7000 feet. Why is there a ceiling of 1500 meters elevation?
@harism55895 ай бұрын
This will feed solar power back to grid, in case battery is charged and house usage is much less than solar generated power ?
@brock2k15 ай бұрын
No, you need what is called a hybrid inverter for that.

Now just hold on a minute whipper snapper. Old folks?! Just because I don't want to blow out my knees lifting an inverter, or prefer a PDF manual so I can 300x zoom, or am over 40 just makes me sensible. I can remember when this was just pasture and cows! Old folks... PSH!

So EG4 3kw 48v or Rich Solar 3kw 48v is recommended to purchase or are they both equally "bad"? But I get it, if you're just starting out and wanna try, good starting point, so again which one?

Lightweight, high frequency, transformerless inverters are never a good buy, even at $700. The have shorter life expectancies and much poorer surge capacities than low frequency, transformer based inverters. And because high frequency inverters have no transformer and thus no galvanic isolation between their DC boost stage and their AC output, during a catastrophic failure of their H-Bridge circuit where a MOSFET or IGBT shorts to ground, these inverters can pass high amperage DC current to your AC appliances and damage them.

You wouldn't want to run your house on it, but it's a good buy for emergency backup of your PC and fridge if you live in an area prone to power failures.

The shitty user interface, and where it wants you to say it is using an AGM battery? I understand the software sucks too? I will pass on this and use a Victron. Cost more but easy to use reliable and it just works. Oh and quieter and uses low frequency inverter so handles inductive loads better.
