I love that the president is still cosplaying lol. To be fair, she did lose the bet to them so props to her for even running a marathon in full garb. Loved these episodes. Her sister is hilarious lol. Finally Nagatoro getting Nagatoro'd! I was also surprised Senpai didn't get scolded more for hiding in the locker by her. I was cringing so hard during that, it was hard to watch lol. For some reason I love the Nagatoro family noodle arms. That after credits scene is an homage to when she did that kick in S1 and she asked him to compliment her and he told her that she looked "awesome".

the friends always call her Hayacchi... the chi being a "cutesy" ending girls (and rarely boys) sometimes add at the end of names to show friendship... senpai kun did remember that... he said as much when she was looking for Nagatoro in the 1st years classrooms... So he knows it should start with Haya but there should be another half...

I dunno if that by itself should have been enough to assume her first name starts with Haya. Hayacchi could have easily not been connected to her first name at all. The same way some guy walks up and starts calling you "Anetoro". XD I'm shocked nobody uses "Nekotoro". It is common to give someone a cutesy nickname based on their first name. But there are exceptions. And as most people would know her as Nagatoro, I wouldn't be shocked if people outside her friend group, called her something based on that name. Or based on her personality. Also it seems to be a trend to drastically delay the first name reveals in this series, so I'm more surprised more people don't have a nickname based on anything but their first name. Great example: there must be tons of Senpais in a school... which is why he says he's probably the one Nagatoro mentioned to her sister. She could easily mean any other older guy from school.

A death flag are the cliche things people say/do right before they are dead in a story... like a soldier saying that he will marry his fiance as soon as they come from back from a battle... having the dead mom hair do (half/low ponytail by the side)... telling someone to look after your loved ones (family, pet, plants)... But there are "soft" death flags that "kill the situation" and no the character... Like the typical "did that do it?" (as in they just did an attack and can't see but as soon as someone says that you know it did not work)... The EVEN MORE TYPICAL... don't mind me just keep going... which sometimes means death sometimes means they will be out of combat and half dead but they can still be saved after they fight, but what is for sure is that they are not catching up... The term is Shibou Furagu (death flag)... but shibou I THINK can also be read as failure if you use different kanji... At least the SHI can be the SHI in Shippai (failure)... not sure if that is just a coincidence though...

Also forgot to mention... There are all kinds of other flags too but they don't usually get called by name, they are just addressed as flags... But we usually just call them tropes...

Do remember anime vs manga rearranges the episodes vs chapters sometimes... so maybe the race was earlier or later in the manga...

In the dub, they call her Hayase a couple times. They call her Hyachi in the sub a few times in season 1

I wouldn't say nagatoro or the friends EVER bullied him... they would tease him... bu even if he was uncomfortable he never really hated it and he never actually said please do not do this... he was just ever shy about what was happening... Bullying is bad... makes the victim feel bad Teasing is fine... makes the person feel a spike in emotions but shouldn't make them sad or feel bad...
