I'm glad to see that Annette hasn't quit music. I'll never understand the excessive hatred some people feel just because they still haven't gotten over what happened with Nightwish almost two decades ago. Thank you for never giving up, Annette. Her album Strong is maybe 2 years old? Check it out....its great!!
@johan71706 ай бұрын
My problemen is not about what happened 2 decades ago, it's about what happened 3 years later, when they hired this low excuse for a singer. Because ofg her very low singing capacities they had to put important songs such as Ghost Love Score or Wishmaster off the set-list because she couldn't sing those songs decently I still can't understand why they picked her. My best guess is that Tuomas lost a bet

Anette I’ve always loved you. I like all your music but the way your ballads touch my soul it’s incredible. You don’t have to prove anything to the metal scene. They don’t deserve you. You always shine with the purity of your voice, but you shine brightest when you allow yourself to embody the purity your voice has. It’s so crystalline. It’s so pure. You don’t need metal to shine. Fuck metal and metal heads. They knew nothing then and still don’t. You’re a star born to shine! Don’t let them have a paw on your choice on what genre you’ll sing. Even now years later they excuse themselves of their shameful behavior. Bullying leaves a scar on the heart, an apology is far from enough to compensate for the damage to one’s identity and sense of authenticity. Screw them all! Bless their hearts whatever. You sing YOU. I absolutely adore your voice and always had. The clarity and crystalline quality of it is absolutely unique. Sing what gives you most joy to sing.

learn from it and don’t do it again next time. the amount of harassment and bullying she’s had to go through doesn’t go away with apologies. but what is done it’s done. it’s good that you acknowledge your poor past behavior. best apology is to learn from our mistakes and not repeat them. only then it’s worth something. i hope you can succeed at that as i’m sure you’re a good person as well and don’t want to make others suffer.

If I met Anette, the first thing I would do is hug her. Nightwish treated her terribly. They didn't even try to protect her from the attacks of their fans. First of all, the group did not try to defend their choice, because they were the ones who chose Anette from a large number of contenders for the role of vocalist. And they probably heard at the casting how Anette interprets Tarja’s songs. And the group was happy with everything, they chose Anette, knowing full well what she was capable of at live performances. And it’s worth noting that Anette did an excellent job, many of Tarja’s songs became more interesting in her performance. After all, she shouldn’t have copied Tarja, Anette should have adjusted the songs to suit her voice and her capabilities, which is what she did. As a result, Anette was left alone with a wave of hatred, without the moral support of the group. The ideal option on that moment would be for Anette to perform exclusively her songs from the albums she recorded with Nightwish at concerts. After all, even the most ardent fans of Tarja admit that the songs recorded with Anette turned out to be truly successful. And Tarja’s songs should have been completely excluded from live performances, and this would have suited many. Anette's new songs are really impressive, I'm genuinely happy for her. She deserves to be recognized

@James-rp8tl9 ай бұрын
@@helky8 I may have missed it. In any case, the fact that they started looking for a replacement for Anette while she was undergoing treatment shows that the band never really respected her. Anette also stated that she never felt moral support from the band. And in case you're wondering, I just re-read the information about Anette's casting in Nightwish. There were 2000 applicants, and Anette submitted her cover of the song Ever Dream, and the band liked her version. This is funny, because Tarja's fans criticize the way Anette performed Ever Dream. In fact, they are criticizing Tuomas' opinion, because he liked that version :D
