Ang Tangi Kong Pag-Ibig - Joel Malit 2014 (Pedro Concepcion)

This is my final arrangement of this music entitled "Ang Tangi Kong Pag-Ibig". My previously recorded one has no introduction and ending part which now can be seen on this new finalized version. This version is based on the original audio version by the greatest Filipino guitarist Pedro Concepcion. I arranged it on my own fingerings without any reference music sheets....Because I am just a self-taught guitarist without any formal music education, I am not able to write it in the proper standard notation....so I just wrote it in tablature form...to preserve the purity of the old-style of guitar playing which is common during the time of my father and grandfather. This style of playing is already dead and forgotten.....so I want to share it to those few remaining audiences who can really appreciate this kind of music.

.kinda strange for my friends na makinig daw ako ng musics like this, malayo daw sa age ko, since 7 nageenjoy na ako sa old songs and music, yung mga ganito and gusto naming pakinggan ng mother ko, she just passed away last year june 2015, whenever i missd her, i do listen to old song and music, i ended up crying, now i fully understand why i love this, its bec. of its meaning, saying na we're never forever, i mean, we will die someday, we never know when, so hanggat naandyan pa silang mahal mo. ienjoy mo itreasure mo every moment na kasama mo sila, malungkot and buhay ko ng mawala si mama, honestly up until today, hoping na makakuha ako ng inspirasyon, i want to study din playing guitar, piano, and some intruments from pinas.. .Love Justine Teves.. 😁 .thanks for this Sir',

One of my greatest regrets was missing Pedro Concepcion’s final public performance at the Philamlife auditorium when I was in college. He was not even mentioned in the Philippine Cultural Center’s encyclopedia of Philippine culture which devoted two full pages to Yoyoy Villame. I mean, I’m okay with Yoyoy but come on, nothing for the preeminent Filipino guitarist of his time? In the seventies, a group of guitar enthusiasts sought him out along with Leopoldo Silos Jr. but at that late date Pedro Concepcion could no longer play and the day they paid a visit to Leopoldo Silos Jr. coincided with the day somebody broke into his home and got away with his beloved guitar.
