Naikyak ako watching Erik's interview. I can also relate to Erik, as a 46 y/o single guy, my focus is to take care of my family, my parents, after all the love, care, sacrifices, and hardwork they have done to me and my Brother. My Dad passed away Sept. 2022, super sakit. Now my Mom is with me, and will continue to take care of her until the end. My Brother has his own family now with kids. I always have the fear na mahati ang attention ko once I have a family. Although my Parents (and my Relatives) always, as in always, ask me try have my own family, na makakasama ko habang buhay at someone to take care of me during my Seniors hears. Paano na lang when my Parents passed away, ayan na nga, my Dad passed away na. Ang akin naman, its up to our Lord kung saan niya ako ilalagay. I trust Him. Honour thy Father and thy Mother. I would prefer to be with my Parents until the end. Ako, Lord will find the way.

It is true that it’s best that you have your own family, most especially your Dad is no longer there and your Mom won’t be there forever as well. I am a 55-year old with both my parents already up above in heaven. I’ve lost my Dad 6 years ago and my Mom 2 years ago. My younger siblings are all happily married and though they always ask me to join them in whatever activities they have but you know yourself that you are not supposed to be tagging along all the time. There are occasions that they are supposed to be shared with their respective families only. So now I have started entertaining a potential companion and it’s a good feeling having someone in your life other than family. Though I understand your hesitation since you still have your Mom to look after because I have never entertained anyone when I still had my Mom. But if you find someone with a gracious heart and will care for your Mom like her own mother, by all means start your own family already. I wish you the best and may you be blessed for looking after your parents and siblings. I know there’s no greater love and fulfillment than giving them your undivided care and attention.

@@stacysmith5148 Well, I know single people over 60+ age who still have parents around and are focused on taking care of them. People may choose a single life or single blessedness. For me, mixture of choice & destiny, with trust & faith with our Lord. So you saying "unless dahilan lang yan na family first pang mga 30s lang yan pero kung pa singkwenta ka na may mali na siguro sau haha" may be odd, mayroon din namang people choose not to be with someone, especially sa dami ba namang "baliw at nega" sa tabi-tabi, mahirap na.

Hindi maiiwasang hindi maluha sa interview mong ito Kuya Ogie kay Eric Santos about sa mother nya. Sobrang relate lang din kasi ako nung nagkasakit ang nanay ko sa sakit na cancer. Ako din kasi ang nag alaga sa nanay ko ng 5 buwan hanggang sa kinuha na sya ni Lord sa tabi ko. Iba talaga kuya Ogie kapag ang anak mismo ang nag alaga sa kanyang magulang dahil sa malubhang karamdaman. Sobrang nakakapagod pero may labis na kaligayahan kang mararamdaman sa puso mo na hindi mo maipaliwanag. Sobrang nakakapagod pero hindi ka susuko dahil mahal na mahal mo ang magulang mo. Sobrang saludo ako kay Eric Santos dahil nagawa nya din ito sa kanyang ina. Pagpapalain pa sya lalo ng Dios.

Grabe while my idol Erik is telling Kuya Ogie how he took care of his mom i can relate very well what I did for my mom in 2020 when she was in ICU for 46 days during the height of the pandemic when its too difficult to go home but my Mom waited for me to be home to take care of her and the smile on her face seeing me that I am beside her. But God has a great plan for her. She does not want I guess for me to see her in her last breath thus she passed away when we were taking our dinner when the ICU nurse called me that Mom’s heart stopped to beat. Kudos to all the children who is taking their time to look after their parents specially their mothers. I miss my Mom so much thus watching this video from the start i just cried as I started to recall the ordeal that my Mom had in her last days. I know now that she is at peace with our creator🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I loss my dad 4 years ago that was so very painful to our family we’re not with him when he pass away the consolation his still alive when the paramedic took him to the hospital but they warning us already maybe he cannot make it but we’re still hoping he can make it after an hour A family member called the hospital he still ok they taken care of him then a few hours after then there’s the call his gone that was shocking even though they the paramedic people warned us already but the hope in our hearts still there but not his been gone 4 years but the pain still there When you loss someone it takes a long time to accept sink in our system our mind sometimes we’re undenial that their gone Oh well that’s life our life here in this earth is temporary

I was so touched with this interview. I remember the time na my Inang was bedridden and my siblings and I did our best to take care of her. Di naman sa material na bagay lang ang kailangan. Yung pagkumusta mo sa magulang mo, pagyakap, paghalik, pagsabi ng “I love you, mommy/inay/mama or daddy/tatay,.. There are so many ways, small or big acts of concern, care and love. Nasa sa iyo na yun. Alam mo naman kung paano mo sila mapapasaya… Honor your mother and your father (4th Commandment). Show and express your love and care for them while they are with you for them to feel and appreciate it. Useless na mag iiyak ka and shout to the whole world na mahal mahal mo sila when they are already gone. Di na nila maririnig iyon; di na nila mararamdaman. Best time to do it is while they are still with you….. God bless us all. 🙏😊

Nanay ko 80 at Father ko 76. Dito ako sa Abroad nagsusumikap. Kapag nasa Pinas ako, gusto ko masaya sila lagi, lagi kong sinasabi at pinaparamdam sa kanila kung gaano ko sila kamahal. Nakakapag-bigay ng hope kase very similar ng pinagdadaanan namin ni kuya Eric. Both my sexuality and my grief kay mama ko na kakapanaw lang 9 months ago from colon cancer. Ang sakit lang, 20 lng ako, 39 si mama ngunit bago umalis si mama, nasabi nyang ginawa ko naman lahat. Miss you mama ko.

It’s really hard to lost your mom. My mom died last Dec. 8. Since I was with her on a daily basis I felt more the pain now. I pray to the Lord that we can move on and that the good Lord heal us and she is in heaven… no more pain🙏. Eric Santos is a good son. God is good to give her mom a good son May he be given too a good happy life a family and children to take care of Eric. Thank you Papa Ogie for allowing us to know Eric. Ohhhh what kind of love of a son to his mother. To Eric: Time will come, you will much prouder and more grateful to the Lord, how you poured out love and care for your mother. I said so bcoz I did it also to my Tatay and younger brother. Now on the process of recovering from sadness of losing them. But the best part was praying, singing praise and worship even in the middle of pain that in time you will never see them again. Sending hugs and prayers po hoping you are well and restored from sadness, grieving and longing L. Sorry for your loss Eric. I will pray to the Lord for your lifetime partner more than you deserved. Am one of the 11k+ ABS employees retrenched last 2020. A few months later, my 91-yr-old father got sick & passed on from complications of pneumonia. Hearing Eric's story made me cry, remembering what I'd gone thru & how I miss my Dad so much. But, trying as those times were, God's hand was ever at play, every step of the way. I know now, I lost my job so that I could take care of my Dad. I was given time to be with him, express my love & gratitude & say everything that I needed to; and do everything humanly possible to fight for his life. I absolutely empathize with Eric. The pain is unbelievably unbearable. But, I do feel that our loved ones never leave us, they just take on another form. Blessings to Eric for sharing & to Papa Ogs, thank you for this! Your channel truly lives up to it's promise...it inspires. Keep on shining po!! 🙂

😭😭😭😭it's been 4yrs since I lost my mother, nakaka relate ako kay Erik noong pumasok na ang doctor sa kwarto sabay sabi sa labas tayo mag usap at ayaw nyang marinig ng mama ko ang totoong sakit nya malignant na pala yong tumor nya sa betuka at di na pwd operahan at 82yrs old na cya noon,infact injectable yong pain reliever nya gusto ko mang alagaan cya di ko nagawa at need kong bumalik d2 sa HK para ituloy yong trabaho ko hirap man ang kalooban ko but I have no choice ang sabi ng mama ko k lang dai don't worry about me,isa lang habilin ko sa kanya hwag cyang umalis na hindi magpaalam sa akin,alam ko na anytime pwd cyang umalis yon kc ang sabi ng doctor nya pero mahirap talaga.masakit tanggapin pero mas mahirap tingnan yong kalagayan nya na naghihinagpis, September cya na diagnosed umalis cya ng November bilis less than 2months bumigay na katawan nya.
