As you already mentioned, these fast "reloading" animations could be really just a ammo switch. Not just the speed of the bullet but also the amount of hulls coming from the lbg change from 3 to 2 hulls. However what is weird is the 5 bullets from the "traditionel" Rapid Fire, when the new Rapid Fire ist enabled. So either i feel like they used different levels of normal ammo between the scenes and they have different amount of shots per burst or the new rapid fire amplifies the traditionel rapid fire in fire speed and bullet count per burst. Could also be, that this new rapid fire mode really works with all bullet types, regardless if they support traditional rapid fire. Even though they mentioned "action changes" regarding the rework of the bowguns, we have no idea if they maybe reworked the ammo system, modifications system or the recoil/reload/deviation system. Normal, Spread and Pierce ammo-types are present but no idea about other ammo types besides the special ammo. Even though i like the rework, i do hope they worked a bit on the system "behind" the bowgun.

Such questions will easily be fixed if they showed the hud that shows even just the amount bullets instead they gave us a massive tease. If that is an ammo switch - I don’t know what to feel about it. 😅 But then again.. I guess ammo switches like that has been around in older games? That’s a great observation on rapid fire. I’m going to be a bit hopeful that it will be applicable to different ammo types (a bit.. can you imagine if we can use rapid fire energy on status ammos? 😅) So many questions with so little footage to find the answers in

One interesting thing I noticed (if you go frame by frame) is that while the rapid fire mod is up they fire 4 bullets, not 3 and the last one even 5!

My theory is that the final shot of the rapidfire mode is what happens when you stand still and you can in fact fire the entire mag that way, the hops were just to force the animation NOT to happen to keep us in the dark. If LBG got the option to hunker down and just empty your whole magazine into the monster's head in one go that could be incredible for doing big burst damage

Max Focus paired with whatever skill is likely to increase our energy capacity(power prolonger?) will probably be a potent combo for LBG. Rapid Fire Mode might end up becoming Demon Mode for LBG players. Build it up as fast as possible just to burn through it as fast as possible, rinse and repeat.

I hope so man I hope so. Demon mode adapts to your weapon right? So I really want rapid fire mode to adapt to your ammo type. May it be normal, pierce , spread , element etc sticky slicing status damn possibilities are endless there

@@AngBata11 I was thinking the same thing. Get this, I don’t think HBG was given rapid fire, I just think it’s that all normal ammo is now fired in burst no matter the gun. It does ok damage but really is meant to be used as a means to quickly build up ignition or rapid fire mode energy. That energy can then be used to empower the weapon’s various other ammo types. So for example an LBG player would start off using normal ammo to quickly build up energy. Once they have enough they activate rapid fire mode. They can then use this mode to rapid fire their other ammo types as well increasing their DPS. Or possibly boost the already rapid firing normal ammo to even higher levels. Turning it into a fast moving, quick dodging bullet streaming weapon. HBG would do a similar thing but with ignition mode further increasing the damage of its already hard hitting ammo types. Build up energy using the quick burst attacks of normal ammo. Then activate ignition mode and start launching high powered rounds in to the monster while tanking through anything it throws at you. Rapid fire mode is all about amping up LBG player’s fire rate and movement speed. Ignition mode seems to be all about increasing the damage potential of each individual round. The weapons have a similar means of getting into their respective states but are played and feel very differently.

Rapid fire mode normally shoots 3 bullets, but activating the special mode makes it shoot 5 bullets per burst. At least in the video.

@@AngBata11 yeah, when you filled the gauge and dodged after shooting you did these dodge shots, up to 3 times, that dealt good ko damage. They were kinda weak tho since they were special shots and not your actual ammo. Valor was mostly used for the 2 lvls of recoil down you get when you fill the gauge.
