He had a vision and plan for how he wanted to instill into the Australian national team a footballing identity. He wanted to build a culture and national team with a footballing identity - the type of attacking footy you see Celtic playing at the mo. But with limited personnel it was going to take time to get there probably with mixed results along the way - Football Australia apparently didnt have the patience for it and kept clashing with Ange. So he walked - he wasn't the man for their job. But before he left, he actually qualified Australia for the 2018 World Cup - as soon as Ange sealed qualification, he left. Thats the type of man he is.

I was glad to see Celtic playing the ball long, during a difficult period. This is an option that is never used by Ange, but should be considered when really under pressure. It reduces the risk of conceding , and just takes some of the pressure off. The opponents aren’t expecting that either, so we might see this used now and again in Europe next season.
