We get a new perspective of Angel Dust with this comic! I know it's not technically canon anymore but it was at one point which adds a lot to Angels character in the pilot. Can't wait for Hazbin to come out this summer!

- For the gunshot scene, I think Valentino killed him from afar, cuz He and his limo were already there waiting for Angel. - The best way I can describe Angel and Val's dynamic is what Blitz *thinks* he and Stolas are: a big man and his sexual plaything. Which actually the case for Angel. A pimp and the abused sexworker. - Honestly, we needed the limo scene. A comic with Valentino needs some levity. - All in all, fantastic reaction as always, Morgan!

He definitely got experience handling deals (and I love his human fanart almost as much as his demon form fanart 😭) and I LOVE Para’s Val voice so so much. I really hope Val sounds even remotely like this in the show! Edit: and I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure Angel lives at the studio in this comic, which leads me to believe the greasy landlord is also Valentino. So I’m very glad Charlie found him. I also think with Val, and from what I’ve heard of SW, having to work for someone like Val (ie, a pimp) is really hard because there is that presence of abuse of power and control, but at the same time they are the ones offering opportunities and protection. It just seems like a vicious cycle of manipulation and gaslighting. So I think that Angel is stuck in the category of wanting to do right by his boss but also wanting something better for himself but not believing he can have it. PDJ also has more, though I think the others are fan comics but they are soooo damn good and you should totally check them out!

The Valentino animatic by Raphielle is really good, if you want to check that one out. It's made by the storyboard artist who helped board Addict and who currently works at Spindlehorse. It's not canon, but it gives an interesting perspective, and it's really well done! Fair warning if you decide to watch, it's got the same dark tone as Addict.

With the theory that Angel wants to prove himself to be something else i think it's because when Angel was alive he was a gangster and member of a notorious Italian crime family based in New York City (Sited from Google), and i think that's why he constantly goes to drug deals and stuff like that even though Val tells him not too.

Hey Morgan I know I'm late but if you liked Angel's comic, you'll definitely like Alastor's own comic "The Radio Demon" also known as "day in the afterlife". It tells the story of our favorite Radio Demon. I believe the comic's timeline takes place before the events of the pilot but it illustrates how terrifying Alastor can be and at the same time strangely moral (ironic considering who he is) but I think you'll like it. It also symbolizes how he views Vox (before the show showed us their mutal hated rivalry).

I believe the 'filly' comments from the shark are a reference to the heacanon (idk if it's been proven or not) that Angel is a trans man, but I could be wrong Cuz at least from what I understand, calling someone a 'filly' is similar to calling someone a 'dame' or 'broad', aka another mildly derogatory term for a woman, so in that scene, it would be the shark guy just casually misgendering Angel repeatedly. It's also totally possible that it's just a comment about his effeminate nature, along the same lines as the term 'fruit' or 'fairy'.

With the shark demon getting erased, Angel was threatening the lead shark. Not so much to kill him, but more of a "You get that I'm not someone to mess with." action. After all, Angel even calls them C-List mobsters because they are more thugs that the Mafia would have as associates, rather then actual organized crime ring. I doubt, Angel was high up in the ranks within his family, at best he was a soldier or if he had any role at all he may have been a fixer. Heck the guy seems to look like he's connecting the dots as far as who Angel is related to. Then there is a shot from overhead which completely eraces the lead shark. Angel is suprised by the suddeness of it, and then seems to realize this means Val found out what he was up to.

Unpopular opinion but i really hate how all the whole show treat Vaggie. Angel's sex!st and r@cist replays to her meant to be funny and make us like Angel and see him as a cool, meanwile hOmOphobic insults he get meant us hate the hOmOphobics. Also, Alastor kind of sexu@lly harras her in his song in the pilot, and again it's suppose to be funny. Also, all the joke about her name reallly feels h0moph0bic and even transph0bic. All the gag is that her name is like that and she's a lesbian. My problem is that when people insulted her in a sexu@l/h0m0phobic/r@cist way its by the characters we love, and isn't shows as a problem, meanwile when other characters treat badly, the show criticize that behaviour.
