Some (non spoiler) fun facts about each character: Charlie -bisexual -hellborn (thus is excluded from the annual extermination) -daughter of Lucifer and Lilith (Adam’s OG wife before Eve and the Mother of Demons) -isn’t respected in Hell because of her optimism and happy-go-lucky attitude -is the third most powerful person in Hell behind her parents Vaggie -lesbian -Latina -is Charlie’s girlfriend and business partner -adept fighter (I can’t do many fun facts about her without spoilers) Angel Dust -Porn star -died in the 1940s -gay -was born into a mob family and has a twin sister and older brother (both who have cameos in the series) -is owned by Valentino (one of the Vs who have been stated to be the main villains in season 2) -an addict (with good reason, see episode 4 for answers regarding that) Alastor -Ace -overlord (he owns Nifty and Husker’s souls, along with many others) -died in the 30s -was a radio host, cannibal, and serial killer -is an established gentleman and mama’s boy -was born and raised in the South (Louisiana to be specific) and is believed to speak Creole -answer to Montana’s question about the symbols, those are voodoo symbols. Alastor apparently practiced voodoo while alive, which was probably what led to his cannibalistic tendencies Husker -pansexual -owned by Alastor -avid drunk -I believe he died in the 70s (a canon fact before the show was picked up so idk if it’s still canon). This same fact also stated he was a Vietnam veteran, but I wouldn’t count on that still being canon -his new VA will be Keith David Nifty -not much I can give but her backstory used to be that she was a 50s housewife. -she’s the maid for the hotel and can’t be filmed (she zones out when a camera is on her) -she’s a loose canon, be prepared for feral Nifty 😂 Sir Pentious -died in the 1800s -was an inventor -cringy but well meaning -you’ll absolutely LOVE him in the actual show! Hope this gives some clarity going into the show 💛

I agree with all this, but it feels wrong to say that voodoo itself (a closed religion that has been misrepresented as evil in all media for over a century) would cause the cannibalism. Now I don’t know enough about voodoo to say weather or not any malicious “dark arts”-style voodoo would lead to cannibalistic tendencies, but it feels disrespectful to a whole misunderstood culture to claim such. (/genuine, I only come from a place of learning and wanting to teach) Otherwise, this is a perfect recap list

There is a parallel series called Helluva Boss on the creator's (Vivziepop) channel that takes place in the same universe (or Hellaverse). Even better is that due to her love for reaction channels and her fans, Vivziepop allows reactors on KZbin to post any of the videos from her channel unedited and uncut on their reactions. So unlike Hazbin Hotel which is owned by Prime and A24, Helluva Boss is still owned exclusively by Vivenne and her company Spindelhorse. So no need need to edit when you react to it.

Of all the shows I thought you'd give a shot, this was not one of them. Cause it's pretty weird, and switches from goofy to serious, and back to goofy at the drop of a hat. @@richardsuplee8137 (Spoilers, obviously) It's hard to dive deep into all of it, however here is a highlight. The show is weak and blatantly tells a lot of what can simply be shown. The maturity is all over the place with moments of serious contemplation that is surrounded by simple and immature crass humor. Additionally, it is inconsistent with its characters. Lucifer is an uncaring father at first but jumps to attention to placate his daughter's every need when he gets his screen time. Vaggie's only character beat is being Charlie's girlfriend, but then the song with Carmine she has to learn the power of love fir some reason, that was never a plot or character element that needed resolving. The songs can sometimes interrupt the pacing while adding nothing of value narratively. IE, Velvette's song. It interrupts a valuable scene about the extermination and war with heaven just so Velvette can tall about how she's new and the others are old, something that is irrelevant to the entire season. Her song could be removed from the show and there would be no consequence. This is just a very brief skim of the show's critically weak writing. It has potential but Vivzie needs a team who knows how to write for television.
