Probably the most beautiful arrangement I’ve ever heard of this hymn. Exquisite. ❤️

It really is SOMETHING, is it not? I got to practice (and practice), and perform it with a fine choral group; Else I’d have likely never even got to hear it.

Sang this piece at All-State Chorus... One of the biggest emotional reactions I've ever had to a piece of music.

Sang this two weeks ago with the Chorale I am a member of. I had never heard this prior to learning it, and it is a powerful piece of music. This performance is pristine - I’m glad I found it

I had the joy and privilege of singing this song my senior year of college. I was suddenly reminded of it today. I had forgotten just how beautiful of a piece this is (along with the other two in the set, Unclouded Day and Hallelujah).

Thanks for doing this beautiful without taking away all of stylistic considerations of these gems. The pieces just aren't the same done without any of the vocal style original to them. Moved to me to tears of joy!

This is very nice done slowly like a spiritual. I'm used to singing the Sacred Harp version at a faster tempo. It's a great song either way.

I'm only in high school so I have a while for my voice to slowly deepen, but I wish I could sing those low bass 2 notes better, it's a great song to sing even though they are barely in my range

So how did it go? A low C is pretty dang low and i'm curious😊
@ocker584 ай бұрын
@@glibbergloop holy cow what an old comment😂😂. Well it hasn't gotten a ton deeper, but I can get a d basically every day and occasionally I can get a c, although it's getting slowly more and more frequent that I can hit a c
