Yup definitely I made a rainbow dragon and the snout and cheeks are the hardest part because you have to try to get it a certain way so it don't look crooked or anything T~T

This came at just the right time! Im currently making my first fursuit! It’s going to be a Dutch angel dragon, and I’m only on the first item, which is the paws. My sewing machine had to get serviced, so I got slowed down. But I’m super excited!! :) Edit: I just got my sewing machine back, and I made weird exciting squeaking noises, because ITS NEVER RUN SO DAMN SMOOTH! the problem I had was the needle was backwards! And I got it oiled too :D I’m sorry for my rant, but I’m SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW

I came here because my fursona would have been a dutch angel dragon. I already ye it designed and named, everything. however, I just got news today that we wouldn’t be able to get me a fursuit-buying or making one ourself. I was pretty disappointed of course, and still haven’t gotten over it, but watching this gave me mixed feelings on that. I didn’t expect that much different from my family because they probably don’t see furries as anymore of a thing I “don’t need and will get over”. I don’t think they understand it at all. for once I finally express something to my parents and they turn me down for it, that’s why I don’t talk to them about my feelings anyway. sorry for this vent, I did really have anyone who could understand and I needed to get it out other than silently crying over it 💕

Found some foam and made a bucket base. Head shape is similar to a dutchie because it’s a dragon that has a round head but slightly less cheeks

Until today, I had no confidence in the idea of me making my own suit myself. Now… I think I’m gonna give it a try. Might as well start small now and build over time than hopelessly try and keep saving for someone else to make it for me. (Though I still want a fursuit made by Neffertity one day)

The first fursuit head I made was my fursona ghostpaws I still need to fur it and add horns ,teeth ,tounge but it was pretty hard because it was my first fur suit head and it had 4 eyes and 2 sets of ears I started furing it is is Hard

I tried my best to write down instructions for this tutorial! • trace shape of muzzle on paper • trace muzzle onto foam 3 times • glue all three pieces together • carve foam into desired shape • draw eye shape onto paper • trace eye shape onto foam base • continue carving muzzle into a tear drop like shape • carve out inside of muzzle • once done carving glue muzzle to base, leaving space for bottom jaw • let completely dry • continue carving muzzle • grab paper and cut out a curve and put up to base • trace on the paper around the shape of the muzzle (make sure to add offshoots, curved triangles on sides) • trace onto foam and cut out bottom jaw • carve into desired shape • glue bottom jaw to base/muzzle and let completely dry • grab paper and line it up against the cheek • mark bottom of eyes and bring up curving halfway up the eyes bringing it down the bottom of the base (mark where the jaws are as well as creating a smile like shape) • trace and cut out twice onto foam • create smaller version of cheeks and cut out/glued to foam (glue on right side of cheek pieces) • carve to desired shape • leave bottom of cheeks flat so it can blend into the jaw • glue on to base and make sure the ends touch the jaw and wait to dry (repeat on other side • carve out to desired shape • add small piece of foam in between cheek and jaw and blend it in by carving • grab some paper and apply it onto the forehead, trace a shape curving over top of eye and connecting to cheek (creating an m shape) • trace onto foam and cut it out • glue onto base • use same m shape to create jelly bean shaped eyebrows • glue on and carve into desired shape • grab paper and place onto base crease paper in between to create shape of where the ears will go • trace this shape and check that it is correct • tape multiple pieces of paper together • trace out shape of ears • trace ear shape onto eva foam and cut it out • grab your ear shape on paper and cut out the inner ear (separating each part of the ear), trace onto foam and carve it out • split each piece of foam down the middle • glue eva foam onto the regular foam and create a foam sandwich • carve into desired shape • once done glue onto head base and let dry • carve out the holes for the eyes • take a strip of fleece and glue around base of ear to prevent it from coming off -------------------
