I love the fact that she's mexican, I mean usually when a character is supposed to be of certain country they shove it on your face, especially with mexican characters, they either wear sombreros or speak random and bad spanish out of nowhere, but angel is a cool character that happens to be mexican instead of that being her whole thing.

I know I might be late but Here’s Fun fact about Ángel: She was created when a small Mexican company called EVOGA and Their CEO Angel Torres traveled to japan to discuss a game they were developing for SNK which was Rage of The Dragons. During his visit an SNK Employee challenged Torres in a game of KOF 98 at NeoGeo Land in which the SNK employee lost to Torres and this isn’t the first time SNK lost to EVOGA before Torres visited. employees of EVOGA visited Japan by an invitation by SNK. They were taken to NeoGeo land to challenge each other in KOF 98 In to which they lost first time around and the SNK employees were pretty upset when they lost. When Torres visited SNK and Torres agreed to a bet. If they won Torres pays $5000 and has to create a character of SNK’s Choice to Rage of the Dragons and If Torres won SNK pays Torres $5000 and has to create a character of his choice in to which they shook on it and to an end Torres won the bet. Torres ended up meeting The CEO of SNK to congratulate him and to which agreed fulfill the bet and by the release of KOF 2001 Ángel was created in tribute to Angel Torres.

I like her animation from 2001 and 2002. It is really showing sense of speed, power and flexibility. Especially, the upside down jumping kick.
