Moving Hollywood to the starting position was a great move by Spoon because Carter is a BALLER. She's the quickest guard in the league (other than maybe Ogunbowale), and you can tell that she used to hoop with guys based on the way that she dribbles, attacks, and finishes at the rim. At only 5' 9", she is all DAWG and has great chemistry with Reese. The "no look" she gave to Reese on the breakaway against the Fever was crazy! I agree with everyone who says that Reese just needs to develop a consistent mid-range shot, and she'll be unguardable. Carter and Reese/Cardoso also need to play the inside-outside game more, maybe develop that Stockton/Malone or Parker/Duncan relationship...pick and rolls, etc. This team is so exciting and has so many layers to it. You just KNOW they are going to be great, and the anticipation of the greatness just fuels more love for the team and the game overall. Great content! I love how you backed up your claims with stats (and the eye test) instead of just blanket, hyperbolic opinions, which too many people nowadays do for their favorite players. As a Sky fan, I appreciated your sound breakdown of two of my favorite players, so THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Wow I feel Chennedy is special and she is the type of guard Angel Reese has a lot of success with reminds me a bit of Alexis Morris speed wise. Chicago had a 3 point shooter who got injured didn't make the team from Gonzaga hopefully she can come back. In the meantime once Diamond Deshields gets fully healthy its gonna be one.

At 25, chenn is still young enough to be the pg/sg of the future next to Angel and Kam. I'm still a little concerned about her "attitude" bc imo I thought she was a bit frustrated that she wasn't starting and only became content once she was. But i trust Angel and Spoon to handle that. My biggest concern however is that our two best players going forward, Chenn and Angel, their best weapons are essentially their youth. Chenn is faster than everyone else and has insane burst, while Angel has an endless reservoir of energy that allows her to go for every rebound and absorb all forms of contact. In 8 years when Chenn is 33 and Angel is 30, those weapons won't be as effective, if there at all. And I guess 8 years is enough time to win some chips and they could cultivate new weapons in that time, but still... Players who solely rely on their athleticism when they're young dont age well.

Whoever's idea it was to take the risk and sign Carter is a genius. Carter is easily a top 15 or even top 10 WNBA player when given the minutes. I also see she's starting to get her 3 point shot back and if she becomes a 33% to 35% 3 point shooter she's up there with Cooper and Jackie. Carter is the most efficient gaurd in the WNBA right now. And she's an above average defender as well. It's insane that Chicago was able to get her in the 1st place but also be able to get her for less than 70k a year. Angel has something that you cannot teach drive and that drive was displayed Sunday. Her ability to will her team back into the game was crazy. She needs to polish her game and She'll also be a top 10 player in the wnba. Now with chicago they need to make some decisions, obviously Mabery is the weakest link on the starting lineup and the most expensive player on the roster. They need to rehaul their bench and get another scoring gaurd that can preferably shoot 3s as well. Carter will be resigned during the off-season and she's going to want to get paid. Mabery isn't worth the money nor was she worth 3 1st round draft picks plus like 6 2nd round picks. They have plenty of options during the off-season in the next 2 years and they can draft someone too. They have options but they need to take action because they should be up 2 more wins and undoubtedly be in playoff contention.

Great analysis as always. I remember Chennedy at Texas A&M and she showed this level of skill then, but the social media attention wasn't there. Then her emotions got the best of her at the beginning of her W career. She's finally able to show how talented she is now and is definitely on the right team to foster even more growth. I definitely underestimated Angel's ability in the W, I didn't think she was ready, but clearly, she has the motor, maturity, and the right attitude for the league. I can't wait to see both of their games grow. Barbie and Chen work so well together.

Angel has a great "Motor" for sure. But they're a lot of people saying that now, simply cause they slept on her (like you possibly did), and/or didn't see her play at LSU; Maryland, and/ or high school so they say this. AR's great, cause at her size she can play the high post or the low post, and put the ball on the floor, and pass out of any stance, even when she's ready to shoot. She can also help break the press, and play Point forward if need be, which can be her natural position, cause she has a nice basketball IQ to go along with the aforementioned attributes. It's just that she's such a great rebounder and scorer, coaches wanna keep her around the post for obvious reasons. On defense, she can defend any position, including guards and forwards up top, and pick them off, then go coast to coast for a basket In the post, she can play good one on one, as well as solid help defense. She's very versatile. That's the secret to her "motor".

Even the players Carter have gotten into altercations with you can find hella dirt on them but not carter. As I recalled there were 12 players on the team to include a 6'8 Loren Betts Reese had no business in there as a undersized post with wings that didn't want to rebound. Angel was put on that team because she was a hot commodity that FIBA and USA basketball wanted to use to get views for their programs. It wasn't a team constructed to produce maximum results. Y'all going to left field to try and discredit this young woman it's weak and pathetic and it's going to end in results that will break your heart. Reese is criticized by losers who are trolling like a child shows a lot about this society.

And let's see what Clark has done so far: she leads the league in TURNOVERS lol. What does Reese lead the league in? OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS. Yup, a rookie is leading the LEAGUE in offensive rebounds. Reese is also #2 in the LEAGUE in rebounding AND Top 5 in steals. Reese set and broke the rookie record for consecutive double-doubles and now has EIGHT STRAIGHT; she is only ONE away from tying Candace Parker's single-season record from 2015. Oh, and according to CBS Sports' WNBA rookie rankings, Reese is #1 and Clark is #2 LOL. You probably should have kept your mouth shut, but you Clark fans love to talk about things that you don't know anything about, which is basketball. Clark is a media-manufactured fraud who has been exposed by her MEDIOCRE numbers. Reese, on the other hand, is showing why SHE and not Clark, won the NCAA championship last year and why she, and not Clark, is the Rookie of the Year. Clark is on minute-12 of her 15 minutes because NO ONE even knew who she was before Angel Reese put her on the map in 2023.
