I never watched a draft before lol but, now I will watch Angel - still in college - and the women who went to the WNBA
@ATHTSupply
@ATHTSupply Жыл бұрын
@@Christimony222 well you’re about to see how ass backwards the WNBA is. You said you downloaded the WNBA to follow ladies like Alexis Moore right? Well unfortunately the WNBA Cut her after she was drafted so she won’t be playing for a team this year. They actually cut almost half the girls that was drafted. And it’s ass backwards because these girls are gonna bring a new audience to the WNBA and the teams are sticking with older vets instead of brining in new blood.

As someone who only started watching women’s basketball about 2 years ago, it’s bittersweet that this moment is what’s bringing attention to the women’s game. There’s so many talented players who are just incredible to watch (Aliyah Boston, Olivia Miles, Cam Brink, Angel Baker etc) I mean look at what Dawn Staley has been building over at South Carolina. These girls are competitive, they play with heart and deserve attention all season not just during big games. I’m happy for LSU and it’s nice to see Angel share more of her story. I hope more people will continue to watch, support and uplift women’s basketball both college & wnba.
@Kevinschart

It's a double edge sword. I'm not a fan of women's basketball, but anything they can do to bring light to their sport I say do it. If it takes a somewhat difficult story to do that then so be it. Mens' sports went through the same thing when the color barrier was broken. As the experts in marketing say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

"Oh aight, I guess we gotta double it" - I am so impressed with Ms. Reese's confident and authentic responses! If I were in her position, I would say the same things and hope to follow through confidently and with swagger throughout the rest of the interview. She is handling the backlash and winning well; much respect to her. Also, y'all are perfect interviewers. Y'all asked all the right questions and wasted no time sitting down with the star! Y'all probably have the most thorough interview with Ms.Reese at the moment (out of like all the other sports media companies).

I totally enjoyed your interview with Angel Reese and I hope we as a country can someday get pass the color issue and just see each other as human beings. The gesture Angel did is common in sports for those who have played any sport, only those non- athletic or prejudice people have a problem with it. I don’t think Angel meant any thing malicious with her gesture. I would like to wish the young-lady much success in the future.

No one cares about women’s basketball. People were only checking it out because Clarke is a generational player. Without her, no one would have been interested in the women’s final four games to begin with. No one is currently interested in the WNBA, where there are players like Britney Griner, who is multiple levels beyond this girl; and she can dunk, too. Scores more, rebounds more; no one cares. She was locked up in Russia for half a year, even. Still no one cares. The reason she was in Russia was because she can’t make enough money playing in the WNBA alone. Clarke made more than a million from her NIL deal last year. As far as I know, that’s more than any WNBA player. But people will tune into someone who can consistently drain 35-40 footers like Steph Curry. That girl is a star.

She's putting irrational, angry , vindictive, immature, unsportsmanlike antics on the map. Nothing more. She's made the win and her teammates irrelevant. Her comments have no value. Check the stats. Using race to justify her antics. This isn't a race thing. It's a choice thing. Reese chose to act like a fool.

I hope someone in Angel’s corner lets her know - there is a huge bag to be had after this drama dies down. She needs to get Caitlin and one of those ad execs from one of these major sports companies on a zoom chat and start a campaign for the off season following her and Caitlin getting ready for next season. The campaign can be called “ You can’t see me season 2” and Iowa and LSU can be the opening season game on prime time tv at a neutral site. Now that these kids can get NIL deals both Reese and Caitlin stand to make a huge amount of money!
