You should try Spice Blend from the Maison Christian Dior Pirve line. It's a beautiful soft spicy fragrance with a rum note as well. I love and own Angel's Share as well. But since it sounds too gourmand for you, Spice Blend may be up your Alley

I went to smell it today in our local mall (I live in Romania) and OMG... I was shocked. I was so pleasantly surprised. I'd never smelled anything like that. Couldn't stop sniffing my wrist the entire night. Spicy whiskey gingerbread. Curled up by the fire on Christmas Eve, a New Year's Eve party post-covid. Super cozy and alluring for me. I love it, and does seem overpriced but... I would still buy it.

Such a great video *as always*. With all the hype around a fragrance I will not be able to afford anytime soon anyway, it was kind of refreshing to hear your take on Kilian’s new addition. I’m sorry for you though, that must have been pretty disappointing of an experience. Have you smelled a lot of the Kilian fragrances? I know you have princess and it was interesting to hear how your view of it changed over time as well. I was in the shop today and one of the chemists has agent provocateur edp tester( many chemists bring out fragrance and testers during Xmas here in Australia) I have to say I m not a fan of it and so glad they had a tester out , I was so close to blind purchase it on a discount website. The one you featured in the video seems very intriguing to me, I like fragrance that has licorice in ( Lolita limperca and hypnotic poison are my two fav licorice fragrance)

I like Angels Share and wear it often but I was disapointed because it smells like a mix of Ambre Narguile and Single Malt which I also own. You should try Rehab by Initio. It's basically a more feminine Spice Bomb. It's a little softer and has more vanilla!

You described Agent Provocateur exactly just how I smelled it. I also smell lots of pachuli. It has to have it even though it doesnt show in fragrantica. Its like angel but fruity. I also got rid if it. I just didn't care for it neither because I had angel already. I really want to try angels share because of all the hype and was about to blind buy it but now that I saw your review im buying a sample first. I really trust your reviews. I just purchased this bottle two weeks ago and I knew from the moment I saw the notes that I would love it and I was very pleased once I got it. I love smelling myself I think it’s absolutely delicious, but definitely not meant for an every day fragrance definitely something more for holiday get together’s.

We finally have some Kilian fragrances in one of our boutiques here... i will test it out next year after the Holidays.. anyway, i wasn’t super excited with AS ; 1. Because i know it is expensive and i don’t want to be disappointed, and 2. I want to wait when all the hype is gone and wait if people will still talk about it after a month 😁 but, the notes kinda drew me a lil bit to it. But not so much that i’d bindbuy. Anyway, i will wait the hype out and smell/test it when i could. And eveytime i watch reviews, in general, i will not discount the fact that there could be some dissonance-reduction especially when something is popular or expensive 😁 but love that you are just always straight up no matter what it is 🤍

I've been really craving Angel's Share, but it would be a blind buy, so I'm definitely interested to hear as many opinions on it as I can. And I feel the same way about Agent Provocateur Fatale Intense! I am holding on to it actually because it's so affordable and my nose keeps changing up preferences on me over time so I feel like I need to see if maybe I'll love it in a few months lol.

Omg you’re not alone! I purchased angels’ share also thinking I would fall in love with it, but there’s a note in there that I just can’t tolerate. I think it might be the rum. I tried several times spraying this on my skin hoping I would change my mind.. but I just can’t 😫 Such a shame I have to sell mine as well.

Hah, expectations are so important! That’s what keeps marketers busy 😄. I love Angels’ Share and bought it after watching Tara’s review (and because I love 80% of what the house makes). IIRC, she emphasized the booziness, which is a quality I really enjoy, so I never expected anything like gingerbread or baking spices or cookies. I smell cognac, vanilla, some spiciness but not a ton, oak/wood, a touch of sourness (perfectly balancing the vanilla), and hardly any sweetness. For me, it’s the best release of 2020, but I do love that whole combination of notes. For perspective, I also have Spicebomb and don’t think it’s too masculine. 😊 I’m sorry that AS isn’t a ❤️ for you, but the hype will work in your favor to resell it 😆 🙏🏽💟☮️☯️⚛️

I totally agree with you on Angel’s Share. I got a sample on EBay and was actually happy I didn’t like it because of the high price. I love Amber Narguille- that is similar but in my opinion much better. I was able to get a sample by contacting Hermès and the samples are very generous.

Even in your dislike of Angel’s Share the way you described it sounds right up my alley! I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Kilian and Xerjoff have quickly become my two favorite houses for fragrance! I’m interested in what your opinion on Ivory Route by Xerjoff would be.. I just gifted that to myself for Christmas :)

I’m with you on the agent provocateur. It smells like A LOT of patchouli to me as well. I got it at winners for $16 so I’m not out too much but I just can’t get on board with this one. I can understand what some would like it but not for me 😃

I am the same way. I just cannot deal with cinnamony aspect both in fragrance and food. I so wanted to try Angel Share. But the strong cinnamon in it held me back from buying. This was a great review 😊

I appreciate your honest review. Angels’ share is a fav for me but I will say the first time I smelled it I was a bit underwhelmed, it took some time for my nose to appreciate it and I love it now. Maybe give it some time? If not I would be more than happy to buy that baby off you.

I don't know... I have never developed a love for cinnamon or gingerbread in all of my years on this planet, so it would be a far stretch. I was hoping that the gourmand notes were stronger or something but - it's ok :) If you want to buy it off me email me or hit me up on instagram :)

i smelled it a long time ago and it was too much for me at the time but that was back when I had a baby nose and hadn't smelled that many perfumes. I should revisit it!! I remember it being a beast!

I went into Sephora to smell it, only to smell it, and it really smells divine. A warm, cinnamon, almost apple pie of a fragrance and I just know myself. I’m gonna buy it.

Blind buys are always such a gamble. Especially at this price point! I’ve been pretty underwhelmed by the Killian fragrances I’ve sampled. I think they’re overhyped.

I got the Angels share and returned it, I just can't handle the smell on me. I don't know if it was the cinnamon or what, but man, what an over hyped and not nice fragrance. I also got Trish Mcavoy sexy 9 and I do love that scent but it disapeared in 15 minutes so im returning that one too! blind buys don't always work.

I haven't tried angel share yet, but it might need to sit for a while. I don't think you should give up on it just yet. I'd put it away and let all those spices marinate, and then try it next winter. The notes seem like they have the potential to be the most gorgeous thing ever. I mean, it has vanilla and praline for christ sakes 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏽‍♀️

I tried Angels's Share in a store before everything closed down, I liked everything about it except the price. I didn't get gingerbread cookies, it reminded me of those alcohol filled pralines at first, then it dried down to a smooth boozy woody unisex fragrance.Would buy it, but it's a bit overpriced for me

I agree 100% !! I blind bought Angels share and I’m so disappointed. I don’t love it for a different reason. Based on the notes, I thought I would love it. I was extremely underwhelmed. It’s not a long lasting perfume on me at all. For the price tag, I’d expect it to last more than just a couple hours. It’s probably my lightest perfume I own. I have to put my nose in my wrist to get a whiff, otherwise I forget I’m even wearing it.

Aww... bummer! I love Angel's Share so much. Doesn't smell like gingerbread to me at all. It smells like cinnamon roll dipped in cognac that aged in oak barrels with vanilla glaze on top. It is addictive and intoxicating to me.. but if you hate it, no use in keeping it. I thought you would love it. It doesn't pull masculine on me at all. Perfectly unisex. We're all different though! I really like Roses On Ice too.

You should test out Dapper Perfumes! They’re a clone house and they’ve created a sense for a ton of really well known and discontinued fragrances! ☺️

Ahh Im so sorry none of them are wins! I have a 10ml of TF Tobacco Vanille and its spicy enough to fill my Holiday vibes needs. I dont really reach for it too too much so Im cautiously not going all out on spicy fragrances. Maybe some day The bottle is gorgeous for Angel Shares hopefully its smells better than bear paws

I knew I would not like it because I don’t like boozy (as in alcoholic drink smells) scents at all. I sampled it anyway and did not like it at all. More than that, I don’t see what is so wonderful and special about it for people who do like boozy scents. Thanks for your honest review!

I'm not a scent snob. I will pay $10 to $200 if the the juice is nice, which leads me to what I'm about to suggest. There is a brand from Walmart called Anecdote and there is a perfume in that line called Havana lounge that's beautiful. It has notes of Tobacco, rum, black pepper and vanilla. The blend is nicely done. Its note a beast but if you over spray you can get 4 to 6 hours out of it and that's good considering the price of about $22 dollars. I find that it is nice in colder weather and I have gotten tons of compliments on it, moreso than my more expensive parfums. It's a nice blend of masculine and feminine.

The moment you opened the Angels share box my first thought was... this is for sure a cognac vibes, looks exactly like the crystal bottles you keep cognac in. Maybe just keep it for awhile and smell it everyday. It might grow on you. Its a beautiful bottle for display

I see you got disappointed by all the 3 fragrances you presented. I got Agent Provocateur . I've heard it doesn't last but it all has to do with our skin. We 'll see how it goes. Have you tried Intense Cafe? If so what 's your opinion?

I like intense cafe alot I used to have a 10 ml travel size and I ended up trading it away a while back, but I'd like to revisit it because it's similar to roses vanille and I love roses vanille. And yes sadly I was dissapointed by all 3 but thats ok - there are plenty of times I'm so pleasantly surprised!

I don't like Angels' share too. The scent is nothing new, I smell it before in other fragrance - it's just an okay perfume. I guess we just dived into the trend 😏 I bought it at the same time with Lancome Poeme, the latter is way more superior in scents trail & performance.

I have one montale on the way and I've smelled the intense cafe before as well, which I'd like to revisit because my tastes have changed alot this year. It's similar to roses vanille which I love. I'm definitely going to be trying more montale! :)

The thing is is so hyped that is sold out everywhere now and I am pretty sure half the people who bought it will not like it. For such an expensive perfume sample first for sure. In my experience when a perfume is so hyped it always falls sort. Because you have this idea that is going to be epic and then you get your hands on it you smell it and you are like that’s it? I sampled some of the BDK perfumes that are also so hyped and I am like 200+ bucks for these? And then parfums de Marly same thing. Thank goodness I sampled first. It would be more helpful if reviewers would be if you like this and this you might like this and not be this is the best thing I ever smelled in my whole life. But that is their job 😁

Interesting! To me AP Fatale intense is not gourmand or sweet at ALL. It smells spicy and leathery and kind of unisex. I don't love it, as it is too spicy and almost cologne like.

If something is marketed as unisex there is a good chance average woman will not like it as I think majority of women want to smell feminine 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ 💕💕 so when I see whiskey glass inspired bottle vs pink looking bottle I think we know which one will appeal to me. But that’s just me. 🤗🤗🤗💕💕

yes you're totally right. And I also don't like the way a super masculine bottle looks on my tray lol next to all my super girly perfumes haha. One of my favorite fragrances right now is LVEB Intensement which is super super pink haha so that should say something!

Oh thats sad, when you hope its great because of the raving reviews, and then, its such a disappointment. I hope your perfume finde a new home. I had the same experience with Casablanca from Swiss Arabien 😕 i hoped it would be something be a sweet gourmand with a hint of something more deepness than like juicy Couture Gold Couture but nooo noo noo i had to wash it of. Tried it a couple weeks later again but meeh for me its too unisex. And the carmel smells sharp not lovely sweet. But thats the risk of blind buying.
