That was a beauty! The slot was cool, but the surrounding slick rock was amazing. Another great adventure. Thanks for sharing. Coming your way this Wednesday to hike, REI, and Sam’s.

Keep on bringing the obscurity! Just when you think there can't be anything this great you haven't heard of, KD presents again...

Thanks 👍. I guess the enjoyment of discovery is pretty strong for me. Plus, and this is big, the path less trodden can hold great adventure and beauty, right up there with the big names. 😉

Holy shit, this is awesome Karl! This is so unique and fun, not sure why more people (including myself) aren't doing things like this. Makes me really wish I lived out west!! Keep the vids coming!! PS - Loved the intro music. PSS - Stupid question - so I assume you test those anchors and replace if need be?

And yes, anchors are inspected and replaced if necessary. All the ones on this route were double/redundant at the time.

Thanks Ron! Let me tell you that you aren't alone, I don't have claustrophobia but if I did, this one would have been pushing it! Karl

Although I agree that slot canyons are enchanting places to explore, you should be aware that they can become DEATH TRAPS during rein storms..even if it's not raining anywhere near by. I've been all over the San Rafael Swell and have seen some of them full over the rim with water...on more than one occasion.
