This is the best choir in the world. What makes it even more spectacular is that it is a university choir, so member turnover is high, yet it continues to remain the best. Year after year.

Exactly yes, the singers today are likely completely different to 4 years ago, yet the choir remains consistently brilliant. Kudos to Andre, the man is a genius.

@@abubakrdevilliers2558 I agree 👍🏾 this is one of the most incredible choir masters in the world. 🙆🏻♀️ I sang in my high school choir back in the 1970s here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 and we had a choir mistress of this calibre. We won local and regional competitions, and did some spectacular work as well. This choir is an absolute pleasure to listen to. The quality in all areas - vocal, artistic and technical is just stunning.

I found myself closing my eyes and just listening to the beauty of this arrangement. Spend all your time waiting For that second chance For a break that would make it okay There's always some reason To feel not good enough And it's hard at the end of the day I need some distraction Oh a beautiful release Memories seep from my veins Let me be empty Oh and weightless and maybe I'll find some peace tonight In the arms of the angel Fly away from here From this dark cold hotel room And the endlessness that you fear You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent reverie You're in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here In the arms of the angel Fly away from here From this dark cold hotel room And the endlessness that you fear You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent reverie You're in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here

An amazing rendition of this song. The balance between being gentle yet impactful is truly masterclass. I don't know of any other choir who can pull off a song so beautifully with just the right amount of finesse, that it almost becomes painfully unbearable to listen because it moves you so much. Thank you! I am so proud to have been part of this choir and even more proud of how the legacy is still continuing from strength to strength, each time with a fresh burst of talented young men and women. I love you!

What I love most about this choir is their commitment to the ensemble, the immersion of the self into the whole. I know of few groups as adept at it. Despite the individual talent, there are no primas or primos here. Their singing is all about the music and the power communicated by their communal effort. I submit that this is the primal but highest accomplishment of being human.

Glorious music, and the heartfelt comments here wonderfully unfold the glory. This tiny grace note - among the most touching aspects of sharing this is the swaying of the singers' bodies - stalks in a breeze - not, I think, choreographed, just flowing in the Ruach/Breath/Spirit, stirring with the sound and emotion and truth in holy love. Glorious academic ensembles - and this is the epitome - are like a deciduous fruit tree - the leaves fall, the fruit is picked, and presently new blossoms appear, the leaves and fruit recur. Grace embodied, singing. Bow and hand to heart to Andre', and glory to God.
