Id recommend you go listen to Masayoshi Takanaka if you havent already. Not quite as complex, but his best stuff also came out in the 70s-80s, so thats to be expected i guess. Still, absolutely grooves.

Such a smooth, sleek, almost glassy style! Both in terms of guitar and dance moves! Angel is easily one of my favorite guitar players of all time. I also love how in this song not only did Angel shine but the other instruments did as well. Everything had it's own breathing room which made the song very pleasant to listen to.
