This is the latest new release By Radleigh Valentine The Angel Wisdom Tarot Cards.
I preordered this sight unseen and unfortunately was expecting all angel images.
This deck does have contemporary artwork, color coding and full meanings on each card making it all in the similar format of previous decks that are ideal especially for beginners to tarot. You can get and use instantly for readings. The guidebook doesn’t have any pictures but has full meanings and further wisdom for each card. The guidebook is quite thick. The cards are not gilded like previous decks. The quality of cards was noticeably more bendable to me as well. I personally prefer his previous decks and will include that info down below too so you can decide your preference!

Honestly, I like the fact that the cards are not gilded. When they're gilded they look really nice when the deck is new but they start to look a bit ratty on the sides when the deck starts to wear down. It's less noticeable when they're not gilded.

I’m a big fan of not guilded. Great for the environment. There seems to be a huge trend for people to want this but you are to look at the card not the side of the card. Also if you use a deck a lot the guilding rubs off anyway and isn’t good environmentally. It is time for people to realise this. To much emphasis on something which is adding nothing to reading a card. I also agree The cards look more ratty than those not guilded .

I love that there are no angels but people like me in situations who get a message from the angels even if I don't see them directly in my life (card) . But the connection to the Angel and major arcana is in the bottom corners. I love it. Clever and a new idea. Thank you anyway for the review.

I prefer the gilding as well. It gives a different energy. A feeling of a special occasion and it just vibes for me.

Oh I just saw some of your peek video of the cards! So funny you mentioned card stock too! Yes I mean I NEVER really talk about card stock unless soooo thin and that was what I noticed right away too! Also I adore your tip about the bronze marker for gilding! I’ve never tried bronze just silver! It looks so good! Your video made me want to get a bronze marker & do that! I do like the deck but just was so expecting angels on every card that it threw me a bit...I think I may do that bronze though! I have to finish watching your video but just came back in here to you! :)

Free Spirit - haha, yes...shockingly bad. Funny how no other reviews have mentioned that part. That’s why I decided to. Target is where I found the chisel tip sharpie ! I even got some more online because I think they are limited edition. It’s so much easier than the normal tip to work with. Have a beautiful night! ⭐️🌙

I am getting it bc I feel like its easier for me, i have two other decks and defo not for beginners and this seems like more gentle for me bc I tend to get moody and dwell on bad readings so this can help me learn and also train me maybe for when I want to do more not so gentle decks lol I hope lol

Yes definitely easier decks help! Also I love decks that lift you up and are more positive (even if not so positive reading it can have a positive perspective/tone) I also agree once you get more used to meanings it’ll be easier to use any deck you want! Enjoy!

You literally said EVERYTHING I was thinking! 1st: it would've been nice to have guilding but expected that most don't do the guilding anymore, 2nd: those cards seem SUPER-THIN, so I'm gonna need to be particularly careful when shuffling ( I hate the idea of having any cards with permanent bends), 3rd: I would've preferred black & white pictures of each card in the guidebook for reference, 4th (& most important): I thought also that there'd be an appearance of an angel on each card - even if only a tiny one along with the 'people' in the pictures of each card. I do like the general artwork but really was looking forward to a big hit of angels & angel energy with this deck. I have my Angel Wisdom deck still on order over here & it may not arrive until 19/10/20 but I'm not sure I'm as excited about them now. In any case, I think I'm gonna check those other 2 decks & see if I can purchase those in the meantime. I have the Akashic Tarot deck & absolutely LOVE IT but I wanted to expand my Tarot deck library. (unlike my oracle library which is in the 20's amount of decks I now own!). I only have one other Tarot deck which has the Ryder-Waite style, so I wanted some with gentler artwork but was hoping for more angels than just on the major arcana. I'll still keep them & make use of them & I do like the reference on the bottom left corner to let you know which angel to work with. So I will use them but obviously with great care since they seem so flimsy but I'll see how I go. 😏 Thanks for the review & perhaps a heads-up, so my disappointment won't be a shock to me. I was right there with you in the disapointment Free Spirit. 🙏 😌 💫👐

Yes! I think if called something else I wouldn’t have expected angels throughout. Exactly what you said even angels in background would’ve been great! At least you know what to expect now! :) Enjoy your deck when it comes! Also yes definitely check out previous decks mentioned too! :)

I was expecting angels in the deck. I have the Angel, Archangel Power, Fairy and Guardian Angel tarot decks already. I didn't preorder as I wanted to see the cards before buying. I'll give these ones a miss. The cards are thin but I do like the big guide book. I personally don't feel a connection with most of the cards. Thank you for your review. Buying cards is easier after watching reviews so I am grateful you took the time .

@@FreeSpiritChannel Yes, I bought the other ones years ago. I wonder if the reprints of the cards with only Radleigh Valentine's name are as good a card stock as the originals or like the new cards you reviewed and thinner cards. Mine are all excellent card stock.

Yes I don’t know either how all the new card stock is ..good point....mine are also old and great card stock with gilding etc..so love those cards! Really glad I have them and got them all when I did years ago!

@@FreeSpiritChannel Same here. I have all the Doreen Virtue decks but, some of them I've bought this year to complete them and they cost a lot more than I paid years ago for a deck. And they won't be reprinted with her name so all the ones she was the sole author will not be available anymore.

Lol same here..the minute I saw them running out and not being reprinting her decks I debated on I went back and got before they ran out! The prices for those on eBay or 3rd parties is insane! And some I see are cheaply being reprinted and sold with no guidebook and on slim paper. But I can understand cause some original decks are hundreds now..ridiculous! It’s too bad that many people will not have chance to have those older decks as they are very good! Just a shame!

I bought this cards because they were calling me , also i don't know anything about tarot I wonder if you could do a video with this card for beginners how can we read this cards with the Celtics cross or for other people

I actually do not use Celtic cross or any particular spreads but you can always try spreads they suggest in guidebook. What I personally do is more “free form”. In my “spirit tips” playlist I have some videos on how I read cards. You can shuffle cards and what comes out read the bottom of your cards. When you have several laid out side by side it will read like a story. I would keep going until you feel you are done. You can ask what will my week be like..or just what advice do you have for me right now etc and see what comes out. I would start that way and enjoy using the cards! :)

It is a shame because there are beautiful cards in major arcana of this deck but the minor arcana are really lacking in terms of the angel influence. One main complaint of the Archangel Power Tarot is the angels kind of hover in the cards and aren't integrated into the image so some people think it looks creepy. But with Angel Wisdom the angels are almost completely absent outside of the major arcana. Even in the images where the angels do appear in Angel Wisdom the angelic frequency doesn't come through as clearly. In Archangel Power, the 3 of Swords (Michael) is such a powerful card of the woman crying and Archangel Michael holding her while simultaneously looking up as if to say whoever did this to her is about to get it!!! A sense of being protected and that justice would be served with Archangel Michael. Meanwhile in the 3 of Swords in this deck, the woman doesn't even really look like she is grieving more like just needing to talk to someone.
