I have a MPAS. I met and worked with Hmong MDs in residency and some of them were in unfortunate circumstances like the stories here. I wouldn’t doubt some of these stories from the MDs. Hmong PHD folks, no comment bc I haven’t work alongside with them long enough to know their stories lol

Plenty of Hmong folks with bachelors, masters, PHD’s. Hmong folks are very capable of achieving a higher education, no matter young or old. I think we’re just more humble about these sorts of situations so that’s likely the reason not many folks know.

On his situation they can’t because, first of all she already made it clear that who the father is and DNA was done and the father of the child is very well alive.. the child was never born in his house the child was never in his care.., court is not stupid. They don’t just force anyone one to pay child support just because the mother file for child support…

It varies. In some states, I’ve seen cases where the non-biological father got to pay child support if the children were under his care when he was with the mother. If that wasn’t the case, the non-biological dad owes no child support.

Is this guy really a doctor? The things he did aren't indicative of a doctor (i.e. tried to file a protective order for himself to stop his ex from going to his parents house). As for his ex, I know why she wants him to pay child support for a child that she knows isn't his... but why not go after the real father for child support? You didn't mention anything about the ex and her Caucasian boyfriend... I'm curious: How did they meet, did they even get married, why did they split up, is the Caucasian boyfriend paying child support and if not, why not, etc.

There are women that are petty like that. She’s probably doing that bc her meska guy is broke assumingely and she needs money from someone who makes more money. My meska best friend who’s a lawyer told me that there are petty women that preys on random guys or their exes to get child support money if the child’s biological father doesn’t pay child support or can’t afford to. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way unless the man took care of the kids when he was still with the mom.

If I’m correct, if the hmong dr would’ve signed his name on the birth certificate at the time, he would’ve been ordered to pay child support regardless of the dna test. That’s probably what she was trying to do but the court didn’t rule in her favor and the dna test came after the birth certificate was filed without his name. Desperate measures.

Yes and no. It's more about the money than the title. If you're a doctor but making just average income, they don't want you. Also, doctor is a very broad term. Pretty much anyone who has a doctorate degree can call themselves a doctor but they're not a doctor like we may think... like a medical doctor.
