For realz. Over here, when we need a housing renovation and don’t have the funds, we get a lone or just don’t renovate. But i have aunts who live well in laos, but when they want to renovate their house, they called and ask for donation.

It’s good to hear from someone who is from Laos and feels this frustrations of having to provide for her families in Laos. This is why I don’t send money to Laos to families, I sound greedy, but I’d rather spend that money on my kids and family vs sending it to Laos. People in Laos, they wait for you to send money over while they live in luxury and while you have to bust your butt off, work day and night. Stop sending money if you don’t have money. I feel that when you need their help, they’re not there to help you, except you help them only. You’re bettering their life but your life is behind. This is your family and you’re this frustrated, listening to your story is already so frustrating, I could not imagine being in your shoe. Hmong people in Laos (this applies to people who are like these people in the story only, not all are like these people), are like vultures, money hunger and selfish people, all they think is themselves and to better themselves only.

Wow I never thought someone would speak up about this situation. Growing up in America I watched my parents who has just arrived in the early 90's send money back to both their families back in laos/Thailand, I see them struggling to pickup phone calls because their families think they are rich in America. They have just arrived, knows no English, have 5 kids under age 10 to raise and yet both sides begged for money nonstop. Just watching them struggle is enough I can't imagine having to be in their shoes.
