Angela had an estimated net worth of $2 million at the time of her death. She died on June 13, 2024.

For the record, this woman wasn't wealthy before she passed away. She was engaged in a legal battle with a record label that had purchased her music rights and was withholding her royalties. The KZbin video cover is misleading because it portrays Angela as if she lived a lavish life before her passing, when in reality she was struggling financially, living with her daughter, and even had to resort to fundraising and asking her fans for donations to cover medical expenses. These record labels treated her unfairly despite her beautiful voice and failed to properly promote her potential hit, "Under the Moon and Over the Sky/Children of the World United," which could have been a huge success with a high-budget production incorporating elements from "The Voyage" and "Angel of the Night" to enhance Angela's image. This woman deserves justice, overdue payments, a thorough forensic audit, copyrights to her voice across all entities she signed with, and respect for her legacy. The wealthy individual claiming to be her friend and manager has not acted in her best interests and does not deserve her trust.

This is 100% true and whaybdid Angela, Phyllis,and Whiteny in common...the demon named Clive Davis. He used Phyllis first, fhen hired Angela used her up, then hired Whitney. CD was the bacling behind Philly Intl., my siste in law was is PA in the 80s and 90s.Look into the Geffen/Davis wars that started after Ertegun died, this isnt speculation, I was told facts. The Diddy stuff and other deep secrets were well known im the DC/Philly areas. Im not Jaguar Wrigbt but I was in the DC arena for over 30yrs, the factual stories I could tell about Capitol Hill and the "entertainment" industry go hand in hand. They higher ups industry network blackballed Melvin Lindsey because people were getting hip to the scene, sadly Melvin passed around 92,93 I believe from AIDS, he was a solid cat though and geniine nice guy. I talked to Phyllis (I was friends with her niece Barbara and brother Mark in Pittsburgh) Barbara had been in the Navy. Phyllis was in DC to be on Donnie's show. The entertainment business is pure EVIL. Anyone who would know me knew that I was in magazine Legal Times with my picture, wasn't afraid then, still ain't afraid. Pervs, Pedos, abduction, underground parties happened everywhere. I left the whole DMV area for good over 15yrs ago will.never return. God chose a better path for me and told me to get out, and I did. Peace and blessings to all.

"Time to Say Goodbye" to a wonderful and beautiful talented songwriter, musician and performer. Thankfully, we still have her music! I got engaged the night of one of her concerts. I was privileged to see her perform more than once. She was so vibrant and natural. That's how I choose to remember her. An angel of our hearts! Angie.

This hits me HARD,and as a recovering MASSIVE-stroke survivor,I pulled for her recovery every step of the way!! Her music provided the soundtrack for my very LIFE!! I will sorely MISS her!! Angela Bofill Wow I was just celebrating my birthday with a friend and was playing him one of my all time favorites " I Try" and that's when I learned of Angela's passing, To Her Family ,So sorry My life has been filled by the great music that she maid, I have 2 of her albums on my ipod and pull her up on Y-Tube often. Angela's voice was so singular that I could always make it out, the day before I was in a restaurant when I heard her sing "I just want to Stop"( I didn't know she had even recorded it until I read this bio on her), Angela's voice had a mellow sound of harmony that always had a rich fullness that I just always loved to hear. She will be sorely missed and Deepest Sympathies to here family." Rest In Peace Beautiful Lady"

Yes, I loved the VOICE of this wonderful Woman! I was a Senior in High School when I first heard her, and saw her onstage LIVE in Chicago in 1980-81. And she will be missed...her Cuban-American sweetness in the Music World will never be forgotten!

I didn't hear that she had passed. I'm just finding it out today. Her music makes me think of the 1980's. She was treated poorly and misused by the industry ( as many were). I understand that she struggled towards the end.
