Ms. Angela Davis, Thank you for this interview with Carmen Mcrae. One of the finest jazz vocalist , of our time. She was witty, willing to talk about another creative genius, Mr. Charlie Parker. She stated she had never experienced racism when she traveled to different venues. The interview was insightful, and gave a small portion of who she was as a jazz singer. RIP Carmen Mcrae. ❤ Your talent.

And I do, I was fortunate to hear and see Carmen McRae throughout the years. That’s the first thing you notice about her singing she communicates effectively.

Hazel Scott was arrogant, self important, and egotistical. She WAS talented though
