Her secret is that she is the most successful serial killer in the world. From 1984 to 1996, she killed an estimated 264 people in Cabot Cove, Maine. She got away with it for so long, largely due to the gross incompetence of the police, but also by framing hundreds of people for murder by psychologically badgering them into confessing.

Julie Andrews has lost her singing voice now . she said this for the newspapers in feb 2015 that her singing voice has not recovered after botched operation to remove non-cancerous throat nodules in 1997. Damage from the operation has permanently limited her range and her ability to hold notes. "The operation that I had left me without a voice and without a certain piece of my vocal chords," said Andrews, who has starred in several quintessential stage and film musicals including My Fair Lady. The actress says she can still speak "pretty well" and can still hit a few bass notes, "So if you wanted a rendition of 'Old Man River' you might get it, but I'm not singing as much these days."

@MrAGr8 жыл бұрын
She didn't originally want to do the song as the version they sent to her was rock. She thought that it would not represent her or the movie well so she sent them a demo of her version, the ballad one. They agreed and the song is as it is because of Lansbury. So she travelled to NY to record the studio version of the song and she was perfect from the very first time. Look it up.

I can't help it she brought me to tears. Imagine a great lady like Angela who can still sing so beautifully at her age. Just remarkable. I adore her ralent.

I'm crying😭😭 this song was my childhood and It doesn't sound as good if it's not her singing it

Agree completely. There's a video of her singing it with Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. It's night and day. They spend their segment of the song performing awful vocal gymnastics and there's sweet Angela, singing the song exactly as it should be sung.

A WORLD treasure. Thinking of all she's done and all those she's worked with over the decades, almost all gone now. Her career started in the 1940's!!! Renaissance woman. (And she's played Angel(a) and demon - who can forget her in The Manchurian Candidate! Scary.) So glad she is still here to truly grace us with her warm and wonderful presence.

You are so right. It's odd but the couple of flat notes even make it better ! A true treasure !

There maybe a couple of flat notes, but for a woman of 90 years old she's doing good.

I will "NEVER" grow tired listening to Angela Lansbury. She has that very beautiful and very angelic singing voice that definitely sounds so gentle and full of kindness, and definitely can't help but love her very beautiful and very angelic singing voice.
