Singapore’s Angela Lee faced dangerous Brazilian grappler Istela Nunes in the main event of ONE: DYNASTY OF HEROES. As the fans chanted her name, Angela methodically picked apart Nunes in the first round, bringing her to the ground and locking in a Twister submission. Istela Nunes showed the heart of a warrior and powered through to the second round.
Angela was relentless in her pursuit of the finish however, pressing Nunes up against the cage and locking in the anaconda choke before pulling Nunes to the ground, submitting her in the second. With the win, Lee improved her record to a pristine 8-0!

They will not be able to become world wide like ufc with rules like that. And quite honestly it's surprising no one really uses it much in this league. If you look at pride they had no rules like here and the kicks to the head on a downed opponent is just hard to watch.

@@nickdaskalakis9289 It may not be. Some promotions are less concerned with hits to the back of the head when a fighter turns the back of their head into a blow and call it "incidental contact". This is often the rules in MMA promotions that take their rules from Japan which it seems Singapore does. What they are more concerned about is when someone is directly targeting and striking the back of the head.

Angela Lee is no joke on the ground, but like many have said she needs to work on her stand up defense. She also needs to work on her striking power. When she had Nunes on the ground and was hitting her in the face, it didn't even phase Nunes. She needs to work on her punching power.

Pretty difficult to get much power into strikes from that position. Basically just arm punches and when you weigh pretty much nothing, there's not much behind it. Punches from that position are to annoy and distract from your submission set-ups.
