Many of us cared about the way Michael was being treated. He is not from the U.S. and his mistreatment did not mainly occur in the U.S. Yet we did not align with the American who mistreated him. If your sentiment is that an American's political stance or position should not devalue their life, then where a person suffers in the world, whether we'll visit or move to that part of the world should not matter. You simultaneously argued that an American's life (regardless of political leaning) should not be devalued while essentially devaluing other people's lives because they're NOT American. If people should not dismiss or be okay with political violence regardless of the politics of who it happens to--then perhaps we can employ that same mindset to others regardless of whether or not they're American.

However, I just want to point out that the majority of the US citizens who are advocating to stop whatever is happening in Palestine, does not mean that they care more about Palestine than the US. The “if you care so much about Palestine, why don’t you go live there” line is honestly a 5head take. For one thing, it’s a pretty poor comparison to compare concern for humans between other humans to literal different fantasy races that are written to be perpetually at odds with each other in a grim dark world. Second, when OUR tax payer money goes to funding the government and bombs used to sl@ughter Palestinians, then yes, it is our concern. The people complaining ARE complaining about our money going to support such a horrible cause. It’s also pretty myopic to not realize that there are also many Americans who have family in Palestine, many of whom have been k!lled. I watched that last video I don’t know your political views and I don’t care I just assumed you were a human who saw something wrong happen and understood the gravity of a murder attempt because that’s what it was attempted murder (assassination) doesn’t sound as harsh I’m not a republican or a trump fan but he has a family and they almost lost him and someone actually died protecting his family have we become so desensitized to violence that this is funny and okay smh this makes me so sad for my children because what kind of people will be left in charge in 30 years if this is okay
