I love this trend. My mom left and I love you letter for my sister and I on an 8 track 🤦🏾‍♀️. That was in the early 80’s. I got lost but my memories of her haven’t. I know that she wanted us (my sister and I) to have a full long life. We have (by God’s grace out lived her (she was 33 when she passed) This is so beautiful! May God continue to bless you all. Love your cousin Brit!

What an honest conversation with your daughter. My mother transitioned 4 yrs ago and I’m still grieving. It’s difficult when you have a special bond with your mom. I still want to pick up the phone and call her or go visit her and just shoot the breeze. A mother’s love, there’s nothing better.🙏🏾❤️🌹

WOW, This was so emotional for me, I started crying, at question #1, tears of joy and tears of regret, I didn't stop until I wrote this. Born and raised by strong women in dominance, Mom to 7 amazing children, this conversation truly resignate in my spirit and my soul! I'm going to visit my 89 year old Mother later today, and just hug her tight. Unfortunately, I cannot ask her these questions, because she's currently battling Alzheimer's and can't answer them. Thank you Angela for always sharing the most positive of messages... 🥰

I had my daughter at 21. (She is my only child). She didn’t teach me love. She thought me responsibility. And I sacrificed everything for her and gave her an amazing life. She’s 27 now and she has a 7 year old son, my grandson. Now he thought me what love is. I was mad at her for getting pregnant at 19. Even though she had already finished high school at 15 ( a brilliant kid) and had been working and in university, I was furious with her, because I wanted her to travel the world and be free. But, let me tell you. The day my grandson was born, my life was never better or the same. He is my heart outside my body. I can’t imagine loving another human like I love this kid. And I am his favorite person. He (they) lived with me from he came out the hospital. And when she went back to university, he stayed with me, because his parents weren’t married. Both of them were 19. And to this day he lives with me and just go visits them. And after about 20 minutes with either of them. He calls and say “Nana I am ready”. And Nana stop whatever to go get him. The running joke with him and his mom is, you think someone want your nana aye, only you love her😂😂😂😂

This year I turn 53…the same age as my mom was when I lost her. In honor of her memory, I want to have the best experiences in my 53rd year of life. 💐

I can relate to the incident with the police , my kids were latchkey and the 3 came in one day after school and set off the home alarm and the police arrived, they would not open the door and called me at work to tell me someone was at the door, the police went to the backdoor and it was unlocked so they walked in, my kids were hiding in the closet, the police phoned me at work and commended me for teaching my kids to not open the door, for anyone, they left my kids and insured the front and back door were locked.🎉

How was your childhood? First moments of motherhood? What's your favorite memory of your kids, Mama? What do you want for your kids/ grandkids, Mama? That part, safe black boys, wrong place at the wrong time. My sentiments too! My fear too!! If you could redo one thing in your life, what will it be? What do you want to tell your grandkids? What's one thing you want your children to remember after you're gone? Great interview!!

Hi Queen, I love this for the both of you. I would do anything if I could have a conversation like this with my mom. My mother passed away when I was 21 from a sudden heart attack. She didn't get to see me get married nor see me become a mother. I'm now 56, I'm and I have 2 boys (young men 22 & 27) I just thank God, that when I was younger, I listen & paid attention to the things she was teaching and did for us when we were little. I incorporate all she taught me into my family. Blessings to you both!!!! Remember to LOL= Live Out Loud!!!!!!

Those were some great questions. I grew up with a strict mother also. She told us not to open the door , not to even answer. You described your house as a shotgun ours was called railroad bc it was also straight through. We had good times and bad. If my mother was alive I would ask her was she ever happy bc she worked hard really didn't have a life and most of the time she came home very tired and angry. It was very hard for blacks bk then in the 50's and 60's and as a child you really didn't understand until later on in life what people was going through.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! 🎉 this type of conversation should be had with Every Mother and daughter, I too was young and gave birth to my only child ( daughter) she's 50 now, her father was in the Marines, Angela I resonate with you referring to " our" mothers didn't have a lot of time to cuddle, hug, kiss, tell me she loved me, she was too busy working two jobs, Now my daughter went to Nursing school did her Masters, so proud of her, I didn't have a close relationship with my mother, so I ran to California, Dallas, Atlanta, my daughter's father stepped up to the plate raised her, mostly, she gave me TWO Grandsons it was such a beautiful thing to watch my daughter give birth to her babies , I too pray for my Grandsons, like you said they could get caught up Hey I'll stop here When you mentioned Jesus Christ, my SPIRIT was elated. Oh I know HIM , and the Power of HIS RESURRECTION, and the fellowship of HIS SUFFERING , I have a very Special Relationship with my LORD AND SAVIOR BLESSINGS Angela and daughter 🙏🏾 ❤️ 💖 💓 💕 💛

Angela thank you so very much. I have always been able to learn something from young women. I learn from you each and everyday. My childhood sounds so very much like yours. I lost my mom in September. I had a difficult relationship with my mom, she was not a neutering person at all. Very strict and at times very cruel and judgmental. I learned how I wanted to raise my children and how I wanted to be as a wife. I broke the cycle of abuse and indifference. I have two beautiful daughters' 29 and 43 and a magnificent granddaughter of 10. I will for sure have this conversation with all three of them. Blessings to you and your family.

I can’t with the AMAZING BEAUTY in front of my eyes!! 👀 I hope You both know how truly gorgeous you are.. This touched my heart♥️. I lost my Mom 2.5 years ago and I’m still grieving her passing. She was simply THE BEST. I miss her terribly. In her final months I was able to take some videos of her. I cry like a baby while watching but it warms my heart. Daughters, take the time to talk to your mothers and really learn her. You’ll have a new appreciation for her.

Wow this interview is so very touching. I'm not even finished watching before I had to write this. Thank you for your transparency as I felt your emotions. I don't know how you didn't cry during. I so wish I had this opportunity but I knew my mom's heart. Again, that you and many blessings over you, your health and your family.

Hello, thank you for sharing this video. I teared up a few times. My daughter asked my 80 year old mother similar questions… we laughed… cried… I was shocked at times.. but well worth asking.
