Hi Brandon. Thanks for reacting and analyzing Angelica's music video of John Lennon's and Yoko Ono's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)." I'm surprised that you didn't notice that "Joy to the World" was actually a music video. All four of my Christmas Jump the Line requests are music videos with Angelica performing to a studio recording. But I don't think she is technically lip syncing as that is usually understood -- silently mouthing the words. I think she is singing but they are only recording the video and then mixing the video and studio track to produce this video. And I agree that there is probably more than one take here. Of course, these music videos are edited by Angelica herself and/or her dad so there are some little glitches here and there. And you are correct that she is still learning (she's only 13 here) and her performances will continue to improve over time as well as the elements of the video. The next two videos are when she is 14 and 15 so you will be able to see the progress. Have a great holiday season.

I think you do a fine job of explaining that you are critiquing from an acting coach standpoint and not a singing standpoint. As long as someone is constructive in their critique I don't understand why people have an issue with it. Then again, I try not to be a "home" (from a sports fan point of view) concerning critiquing these performances. Thank you for the reaction and please keep doing these for Angelica. I look forward to them.
