what frightens me the most about this movie is the fact it's a true story. and i wouldn't be surprised if this sort of thing still happens 1. this world is so fucked up 2. angelina should have won an oscar for this 3. the electroshock treatment scene freaked the SHIT out of me

How can you not like the movie for that reason? This was a true story, so they couldn't change such a major plot detail like that.
@Sh1t0nTheVilla12 жыл бұрын
When my mate told me to watch the changeling with Angelina in it, I thought she would never suit the role and put off watching the movie because I thought it would be a film with an actress best known for been hard and tough which she wouldn't be able to suit a role like this. But boy was I wrong, she really did suprise me, What an actress 10/10

Astounding that the writer of The Changeling, J. Michael Straczynski, isn't even mentioned in this interview. He spent massive numbers of hours over a period of years doing the research for this story, a story that he discovered, culminating in the script that was The Changeling. Oddly, the interviewer is asking whether it was Clint Eastwood, who was the director, and his production company that came up with the story. Jolie just says, "No it was the writer." No name, just "the writer."
@arthurcurry20033 жыл бұрын
Hardly a case of Straczynski being singled out. Writers are credited but hardly praised for the movie quality or acting performances. And Come on, Clint put a masterpiece on screen. The movie looked amazing.

It seems odd that the webcam is sharper than the broadcast camera. Like a lot of stuff I've seen recently on TV, the cameraman seems to have focused on the image in the background before the talent has entered the shot and not bothered to re-focus.
@MrBlackhibee8 жыл бұрын
I've seen her act very well in some good films, such as this, and I've seen her in some real pish as well. Pity Mayo didn't do his research, J Michael Straczynski spent ages researching the story before writing the screenplay, and he's a prolific screenwriter and director.

I would like to see Angie and Brad playing roles in a remake of futuristic film The Handmaid's Tale, based on Margaret Attwood's book of the same name- she would be brilliant as Offred- and Brad could play the chauffeur. George Clooney would be the Commander and Nicole Kidman the Commander's wife!

in the film you could see angelina peaking out under the costume of christine collins. i think there's a reason why she doesn't usually play this kind of role..it's far from her real personality and it's difficult for her to put herself in that sort of mindset. the scene where, in my opinion, she completely broke character was when she was confronting northcott, asking "did you kill my son?" ..her tone was very much angelina.
@charlotte87x3 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter how gentle or shy a person is, if confronted with the potential killer of your son, you're going to let a little loose. I think she did a fantastic job.

I agree. I think her performance was phenomenal in this film, but that scene always stuck out to me. It's like the intonation in her voice in conjunction with her body posture, seems very modern to me. Idk.
