J b Kids also judge entirely based on appearances like my niece didn't recognize her own mother in heavy make up at a wedding they had to attend. She actually started crying until she finally realized it was her mother. Stop projecting your own hate and biases on the innocent reaction of little children when you don't even know how a lot of reactions from children are physical and superficial. You hate her and are looking for petty excuses to defend your hatred though its quite pathetic that you had to drag children in your argument to score a point.

Eh it's an entire remake not a retelling In the original Aurora was beautiful and philip was a hero killing a dragonized maleficent and the fairies played a much bigger roll and rose was pretty much dead weight. Also in the original Maleficent was just pissed off that she didn't get invited to see aurora when she really wanted to and to get back at the mother and father she put the curse on. She just likes to cause some mischief now and then I don't think she would do something to harm anyone i think it would have been more or less a prank on the people till she didn't get the party invite then she got serious. The moral of that is DON'T FUCK WITH A WHATEVER THE HELL SHE WAS IN THE ORIGINAL AND LEARN TO NOT FUCK WITH THE PEOPLE AND LEARN TO TAKE A HARMLESS PRANK. The remake however she was the hero and killed the king and all that other stuff (I'm lazy so I'm not writing it all out) Maleficent was mad at Stefan for her wings and protecting her realm and not getting invited to the party. So Maleficent was never really a villain just misunderstood. And she has plenty of reasons to be pissed off in this one I kinda think they should have switched personalities for these .
