The film crew was not happy with their first footage for this song so they asked her to sing it again. This is the 2nd time, immediately after the 1st. No break. And once again, Angelina kills it!

I think the reason this is so good is that, unlike the cover Angelina did at 13, we now hear her singing in her own voice rather that following Whitney’s classic original. We get to hear the richness and power in her lower register as well as the sustained higher belts that are in complete control here. Hard to believe, but the studio version of this just released is better. No wind, no hair, no distractions-just Angelina absolutely killing it. This time, I hear this as an Angelina song, not a cover of Whitney.

No live performances for 3 years, and she comes up with this. Completely in controll (exept from her hair, that is). She keeps calm despite for her joy and enthusiam for the moment, finaly back in Norway, on a live stage. So well prepared and ready. Angelina is stepping up her game, for sure. I would like to ask for your reactions for a few of her magic live performances in Norway this summer, but I also like the idea of going back a bit. Her first big live performance after winning the NGT was also her first "Allsang på grensen" performance. She was 8 yo. This song was recorded for TV, And the 1st time she wasn´t pleased with the sound caused by the wind, so she sang it a second time rightaway, That´s the one you are listening to. I would recommend "What a difference day makes" when she was 8. It is an open air concert as well and she is mindblowing.

After all of the concerts were finished, Angelina dropped a music video (black and white) of this song, which is luscious. Whitney Houston was a soprano and Angelina is mezzo-alto, so she dropped the song down about 3 steps and, of course, put her own adornments there. 16 years old and on the verge, with an album due out next year. 💜

Yes, Whitney sang the recording in the key of G but dropped it a whole step to F when singing live. Angelina dropped it a step and a half to the key of E. It was arranged beautifully to fit her mezzo-alto voice. Her lower register is so beautiful here. It is by far my favorite version.

Thanks, guys!. The poise and confidence she exhibits on stage is phenomenal. She has been quoted on many occasions saying she is most comfortable in her life when she is on stage singing for people. After the series of Concerts in Norway this summer we are now on a count down for her to be formally marketed to the world within the next 18 months. Albums, Concerts, tv appearances, her music on every radio station in every part of the world. And, I have every confidence in the world she will be well protected as she becomes more and more popular. She's ready for the big time and understands the craziness that will accompany her journey but, at the same time I see her being given a lot of space by enthusiastic fans because of their respect for her. You want an old one? Angelina at home sitting in a chair singing 'My Funny Valentine' at 10 years old. I say no more. Let's just say a lot of people, including myself, absolutely adore this version more than the one she did recently at 16 years old. But, I say no more. :):)

At her last concert on July 10th 2022, when Angelina told why she sings this song and dedicated it to her grandmother Mery Zamani, I understand this song completely differently. YOu're in the wrong place!!! They just dropped one done live in a studio. That's the one you should be watching, I think. Way better tech-wise .. better mic .. not dealing with outdoor noises etc.. If you've got a big song, then you need a big singer with a big voice. Finally able to go home and perform after two years stuck in LA by covid restrictions, Angelina was so happy that she was giddy. I loved the tv interviews with our girl slipping from Norwegian to English and back again without realizing that she was doing it, and a whole series of floor length gowns. This blue one was the most spectacular, It looks like it's shrink wrapped on her. A dress like that will make you hit the gym. As for something older and obscure, find Angelina singing Fly Me to the Moon on Christ the Redeemer. I think she was ten or maybe nine, in Brazil, and they climbed up to the statue where Angelina started singing because , of course she does. I think it's on her grandmother's Mozarts channel. It's very short, but endearing

BP's, this one is fabulous but she just released the studio version of this about a week and a half ago and it is freaking stunning. Let me just say that Whitney set the standard for the cover of this song 30 years ago....Angelina just set the standard of this cover for the next 30 years and beyond....you may want to listen to that one. Hello again, guys! Nice reaction🙂 Just some info... This performance was her 2nd, back to back, due to some technical issue on her 1st performance. Due to an apparent tight schedule, she was given roughly ONE minute, and off she went again. And still she sounds THIS good. That song is crazy demanding to sing, by many regarded as one of the most demanding songs ever. Add the fact that she had also been performing it both on the rehearsal and the sound check before that, and the same with her performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody", and you have a 16 year old girl with an incredible voice and stamina. Her diapraghm strength and lung capacity must be that of a highly trained athlete. I saw her live on her concert in Sandefjord here in norway on July 10th, and there simply are no words that can do her justice. It is by far my best musical experience ever, and though I have been following her closely since she was 7, nothing could have prepared me for the experience I had that night. If Angelina feels any "pressure" from performing on stage in front of an audience, it is pressure from within herself to deliver spot-on excellence, not pressure from outside herself. She has stated, since she was 8 years old, that she NEVER gets nervous on stage, and that singing is like breathing to her. Angelina never disappoints. I saw a video on YT just hours after she performed this song which is obviously a very difficult song to sing and in the video she performed this all the way thru and then TV2 decided they didn't get the recording they wanted so they had her run over to a different stage and sing it again. That was all within 3 minutes! The video was taken down not long after I watched it. So this is actually the second performance and I heard that she was a little upset about her hair getting in her mouth. How frustrating that must have been. Also remember this is her first time on stage in nearly 3 years so even tho she has nerves of steel I can't help but think she may have been a little nervous and very excited at the same time. She has said a few times that loves being on stage and once on doesn't want to leave it. BP1 got me laughing a little talking about the hair bits, LOL. And BP2 I must say that I would like to have had a longer lasting belt at the end. Love that you want to go back to an earlier video and I've got the perfect one for you. You reacted to her Feb.14, 2022 video of MY FUNNY VALENTINE which I loved. But she also did MY FUNNY VALENTINE on Feb 14, 2016 so she had just turned 10 one month before. You have all kinds of info below, but I just wanted to mention something I found incredibly endearing in these live performances, particularly her own concerts, she would absolutely kill the song, professional and mature, and then the sweet little 16 year old showed up between songs, when she interacted with the crowd. She just melted my heart. Addition: If you haven't already done it, I think her "I'm Still Holding Out for You" at approx. 11 years old is still one of her (younger) bests.

Due to the pandemic this I believe was ANGELINAS ( after 2/3 years ) ? return to Norway 🇳🇴 and to perform live for the first time. the weather conditions where not ideal very windy, they would have tested a veteran singer , this was recorded for Norway tv and this I believe was the second performance in a matter of minutes at the request of the Norway tv who had some sound issues probably the wind for the 1st performance. angelina jordan has always loved to perform live and she has performed regularly at allsang pa grensen since she won norways got talent . she was visibly very emotional performing here at the last year for allsang pa grensen . also the techs at allsang had recording problems and after she sang this song they had to ask her to sing it again so they could retape it ,this was her second performance of this song one after the other which in my opinion is quite impressive as this is a very demanding song vocally . no problem for angelina tho a true professional . keep on reacting guys good job as usual .

Fun fact: This song was written by Elvis's longtime girlfriend Linda Thompson. The lyrics are from her journal notes & poems she wrote during their four & a half years together & at the end of their relationship. Elvis had even encouraged her to write. Knowing that, it makes the lyrics even more poignant.💙☮💙 Btw, have either of you been to see the Elvis movie? A live performance is so much more difficult.....and there it is...flawless...as you say at 16. Its very much a body catching up to the vocal talent she has...wonderful .thanks guys. If you want a great song she performed at around 10 years of age its worth looking at. The song is called loving you. She really belts it out near the end of the song...great blues rock. Gents, Angelina's performance was outstanding including the audio transmission was perfect, on a windy day. However, I was disappointed with the cell phone audio played on KZbin was not the best audio quantity. That said, Angelina never disappoints me, I loved her voice from ages 6 to 16!

This was on June 22. (Her arrangement.) Norway’s TV2, had huge technical difficulties. some problems The musicians couldn’t hear each other…They contracted to record the televised version Live, which meant that Angelina had to sing this song twice . . . back-to-back! Do you have any idea what this did to her voice? Difficult song to begin with! Such a professional. A Diva. Do remember, almost 3 years not being on stageIn the first song she sings is this❗️

This was her first public live performance since AGT filmed in October 2019. After this one she perfirmance 3 full concerts at Kurbadhagen (2) and the Kongsberg Jazzfest between 1July and 10 July. She became progressively more relaxed each time. All are great, but the 10 July show was awesome. Angrlina thrives with a live audience of her Angels.

I think you should take that it is live into consideration and give her 10. Normally you expect a studio version to be better but correct, this is flawless. Plus you see and feel the emotion much more here. She is the only artist whose live versions are better than the studio version. Also the humblest down to earth artist out there.

Not only is the Official version the best it has the potential to vastly outstrip the other versions by the end of the year if not earlier. I personally think the Official version is better than Whitney Houston’s version.

For other concert songs there is a super high quality production from ATV station that film the entire thing on stage and from audience which is now showing.. There is a short interview and then a very short interviews and fans. Then she sings her 2 big original songs..... Sweden are crossroad her home, but Violet Home down the street from Velma lol and we flew all the way from log USA to North slow Norway to have her sign a six week I was $150 for Ford road behind Ron Trourt for her right and we enjoyed every second of it. This was her 1st concert of her little series there and this was being filmed for whatever video purpose or for TV but they made her sing this song twice in a row because of some production issue or bad issue we're bad chammer angle the 1st time. She's Had to sing this tuff endurrence song, twice in a row with like a minute break.... I guess someone counted it instead it was a minute and a 1/2 but I thought it was like 25 seconds so, Is somewhere in the middle. An early early Fan video from the audience which was taken down had shown this Reality... I think maybe this was the 2nd take.

You should do the early version of My Funny Valentine and her cover of I'd Rather Go Blind. It is a shame about the out of control hair. And she does seem to be tired here. You can definitely hear it in her delivery. I think maybe at her age she is performing too much and perhaps overworking herself. It's one thing to do one song at a time in the studio or in her bedroom but it's a whole new thing to do a lot of live performances without a break.

I am in complete agreement with the vast majority of people that she's a superstar. But I still can't get on board. I wish I could tell you why, but I don't really know.
