Thank you, Boris. I've just come back to this video after watching Samantha Lisa's reaction to Angelina's performance of the song in the studio at age 6. The difference is quite remarkable, and it must have been one of the very few - if there is even one more - of Angelina singing in public while wearing shoes.

Thank you so much, Boris! Definitely worth taking care of. Angelina's first performance in front of an audience ever! A fairly young audience I would think in terms of the noise in the hall. Wondering if Angelina even heard the music being played. Anyway, the important and precious thing is to preserve absolutely everything that this musical genius has done. In addition to much else, I think this shows Angelina's courage and fearlessness, her enormous ambition and will. She could have chosen an easier song to debut with, but that's not Angelina's signature. Metaphorically speaking, where most of us start on the lowest ledge in front of the diving tower, Angelina goes straight up on the highest ledge in the belief that "I can do this".

WOW thanks Boris. From the information I got from Kent Nielsen, Angelina's audition on NGT singing Gloomy Sunday happened on 11/24/13 so this performance was 7 days later. Thank you so very much.

@@borispalenovski6302 I am guessing this date confusion is because the acapella performance with all the judges on one side of the room with all the music performers in a row is the first sort-out audition which on these shows happens before any stage performances with an audience...and all the other acts like dancers, etc. must be chosen before the stage/audience happens. Thus, a long delay for the televised to start.

@@dhamma58 This is not correct. There was a pre-audition as you describe, but this was without the judges and only with the casting crew. I have never seen any recordings from Angelina's pre-audition. Next step was the Gloomy Sunday audition, the first encounter with the judges, which was aired March 7, 2014, but recorded earlier (Winter Olympics postponed the whole schedule that year). All contestants who "survived" the auditions where so asked to sing/perform in "the line" in front of the judges and without an audience for the final selection before the live semi-finales. Angelina sang "I'm a fool" at this occasion, which was recorded on Febr 7, 2014 and aired on March 28. The rest is history..... as they say

@andy schnell I do not think this information is correct. The NGT audition on Nov. 24, 2013 was in Trondheim, Norway. When you compare pictures/footage from this audition, with Angelina singing Gloomy Sunday it is clear that both the stage, the clothing of the judges and the audiences are different. But it would be very intersting to get any information which might indicate otherwise!

This is such a tough song and she is just coming into her own. People can so terrible, still her learning curve for her at this point, it is hard to reconcile this performance and those she gives just a few months later. Basically yes. Even during the Nobel Peace Prize performance outside of Norwegian Peace Prize committee in December 2014 she performed barefoot. In a winter. Outdoors. In Norway.

She was in arctic before the performance from July 13th, 2019 you are probably speaking of, and performed there (in Hammerfest) under a heavy rain and +6/8 Celsius.

I don't know the date when she made her pledge not to wear shoes "official" and we probably never will, unless Angelia tells us. According to her book, she met the orphan girl when she was six, and gave her her sea green ankle boots. Sometime after that she made the pledge, that she also talked about in her book she wrote at 9, that she would only appeared on stage in public barefoot. So based on Boris' date of This performance Dec. 1, 2013 and her first appearance on Norske Talenter in the very beginning of Jan. 2014 1 month later, she apparently decided to make that pledge, and has honored it till today. Just MHO.

@@borispalenovski6302 I did read the complete video description. I thought Angelina performed NGT in the fall of '13 at age 7 and either performed her last when she was 8 or it was broadcast when she was 8 (she says she won at age 7 but others say 8).
