I work in a kindergarden and most kids start talking words and small sentences after the age of 2 and 3, and this kid start singing at 1 and half... thats just mental 😳😳❤️

Thanks for reminding me that Dashy and Dad haven't reacted yet to her short TV interview about her book "Between Two Hearts" where she reads from her diary. The interview took place since her book had just been published when AJ was 9 years old, becoming the youngest published author in Norway's history. Don't worry about putting up Norwegian subtitles. Folks in Norway learn English in grade school and speak it as well or better than most native English speakers... This was Angelina's American debut. Naturally, she smashed it...

Angelina Jordan won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 8 in 2014, the prize for winning was eighty thousand dollars, this money was donated to children’s charities. At age 8 her first charity performance was in Germany to raise money for heart disease. Again, at age 8 she does a telethon for Plan International Children’s Charity. Still at age 8 she performs for Norwegian Sea Rescue Society Charity. On the 12th of Dec still at age 8, she performs at Save The Child Nobel Peace Prize, 4 days later, even though she has a very bad cold, she performs for the Swedish Heroes Foundation against her doctor's orders. At age 10 she performed for the Norwegian Refugee Council Charity. Also age 10 she performed in Seoul in South Korea for Rotary International to raise money for children’s vaccinations. Angelina Jordan comes from a very wealthy family and does need the money, she, and her family want to share her wonderful talent with the world. This is what makes AJ and her family so very special. Great reaction you 2. I don't care for the view, but I'm very thankful that they did introduced little 8 yr old Angelina to some of the American audience. You should check out the the following year at 9 when she did this again but differently on her "Fly me to the moon" Acoustic. This version is awesome. Now watch her age 12 sing this live for Quincy Jones at the O2 arena. It was his 85th birthday concert and Angelina was the opening act singing the same arrangement Quincy had done for Frank Sinatra. The rehearsal video is the one to watch!

Quincy told Angelina she reminded him of a young Michael Jackson and, since he was MJ's producer, he ought to know!

I am tempering expectations for her coming album. After all, this is her first and created while finishing up high school, traveling the world to perform when not in classes, and dropping teasers for us on social media. I don't doubt I will be mind blown, but can only hope the public at large will have similar reaction to her incredible voice and persona.

Angelina has been working on the songs for this album for several years - even before she signed with Republic Records in 2020. The five songs she has previously written and released so far are Oslo, What is Life, Shield, 7th Heaven, and Million Miles as well as rewriting the lyrics to Rehab and Back to Black, and the ability to break down existing songs and come up with completely new arrangements shows she has the skills. Also, this is not the first album she collaborated on (Its Magic was released in 2018) - but it is her first that will contain all original music.

This is when the promotional powers from Republic Records will come to the front. Republic will need to prime every radio station, TV show, and fellow artists singed with them to have her on their concerts. This is going to take lots of time, effort and $$$$$$!

she doesnt get nervous even at that age. she was just a bit confused by the questions. you have to remember englis is her 3rd or 4th language. she wasnt sure what to say. even today as a 17 year old she sometimes has issues with her answers. i believe today she is more aware of what to say and NOT to say so she picks and chooses her words carefully.

She said in some interview that answering questions is much more difficult to her than singing... And she also told that she remembers her age only when looking at her passport.. 😎 But seriously, I think that she was a real pro singer and musician already at 10 years of age and she had fantastic live concert already at the age of 11 in 2017 in Norway. I hope some day the pro sound recording will be available from that concert. A short clip with pro sound can be heard in one tv-recording (singing "Back to Black" in that clip) and it sounds totally amazing. You would never ever believe she is just 11 in that clip if you only heard the sound. Amateur recordings can be found in KZbin but the pro recording is sonically totally at another level.

Another good reaction, Dashy and Dad. The American interviewer Rosie was not very sensitive to the fact that she was speaking English, quite fast, to an eight year old Norwegian girl for whom English was not her first or even second language. Under those circumstances, Angelina managed very well with the interview.

Kind of tough for Rosie, she can be very condescending and has no idea she is talking with a brilliant 8 year old genius. Her comment " here in America we love 8 year olds that can sing" always gets me....because here in America you will not find an 8 year old like this girl. Oh, Rosie knew how brilliant Angelina was. Angelina rehearsed this performance several times in the studio before they brought the audience in to make sure r they had the sound levels right. Angelina posted the rehearsals on her Patreon page. It’s also fun to watch the rehearsals back in the green room with the guitarist. It’s took several times before he got the tempo right that Angelina wanted.

Ha ha, I just went back and watched the rehearsal videos for this performance. And it shows the live performance, taken from the audience over on Angelina’s right. And the interview begins with Rosie saying, “Hi everybody, this is 8 year old Anglina Jordan, and she’s from Norway.” And then she turns to Angelina, and asks, “How old are you honey?” And Angelina replies, “Eight”. LOL!!! They cut that out of the TV version since Rosie had already said she was 8.

Dashy and Dad, I was looking through your Angelina playlist and was surprised to find one of her greatest songs absent. Then again, we all might never have heard this one if someone hadn't leaked it. The song is "I'm Still Holding Out For You" by Brandon Lowry (aka BabyFuZz). Before Brandon performed this one, his associates urged him to send it to Angelina. Angelina was 10 at the time when she recorded this demo for him. Her family objected to the song's lyrics, as they included a pondering of suicide. Thus, we were never intended to hear Angelina sing it. That is, until two years later when someone with access to the demo leaked it. We know this as several of the photos and clips in this fan-made video were of her at 12. But don't forget, she was 10 when she sang this one. I want to send you something a little different. Alma Deutscher is a English child prodigy composer who start playing piano at 2 violin at 3 and composing at 4. Absolutely Beautiful and extraordinary! She is considered a grandmaster classical composer. The first since Brahms died in the 1890s. Seen this one a while back. It's pretty amazing for an eight year old. You should check out Mark Tremonti. He did an entire album of Frank Sinantra cover songs for the Down Syndrome charity, including this song. You would think Frank Sinatra is singing.
