That is a recorded studio version (black and white). Her live performances including this one is in my humble oppinion far more impressive. Her voice is enchanced trough pop filters and other techniques in the studio version. What she is able to do live is, again in my oppinion, outstanding.

This is an excellent example for what happens when Angelina fans request reacting to her performances without leaving the respective links. We fans know why the black and white version is requested over all others. Not that this version is bad, it just doesn't show the emotion, attitude and soulful display of her talents she possessed at age 9. It is also the only performance recorded, that we know of, that demonstrate, with that soulful attitude, that "born with" genius that separates her from the paths taken of most all other singers. A capture of the way music/singing was performed decades before she was even born.

It's a testamente to the team around AJA on how well they shield and protect her, that she is still being discovered and not only applauded for the unfathomable musical talent she posesses. The Black&White live-band-studio version she did of this 1956 classic, is a must see. She was barely 9 years when she recorded, what will become an absolute legend on the tube. @@KristinKali There are several new female voices vying for that #1 spot with music fans. Diana, Daneliya, I guess you could also add Grace Vanderwall, although her voice is not powerful as are the other two. Danelya is performing on AGT 2020 as we speak getting rave reviews for her first audition of the night..It has been over 6 months since Angelina sang on AGT Champions, and I worry people will forget about her due to the Covid 19 virus shutdown. These girls are going after pop stardom Angie has a huge fan base of older viewers that love Jazz, and oldies, but my fear is that pop is where the money and fame is. All of Angie's fan's must pray for her success, and survival.

I've got a concert ticket ready for next year and will try to get hold of and make as many as I can in the next few years. When she becomes to big, the venues get bigger and you loose the closeness and intimate atmosphere we can still experience. Hopefully she'll still stay somewhat unknown and hidden for years to come, however I'm pretty sure she'll blossom magnificently into a superstar very soon.

Welcome to the world of Angelina. I've watched/enjoyed other artist reactions from you, (ie Dream Theater, Dimash, Diana) and like your style/approach for doing reactions. I am hoping you continue down this rabbit hole with more Angelina reactions. You will find a variety of singing techniques along with the emotional connections she conveys in her performances, across several genres of music. To a lot of us, she is on the path of being a future legend and we are witnessing her growth , since age 6 through current age 14, and awaiting her next phase in that growth. 2019/2020 she was in AGT Champions that aired 2020. She won Norway's got Talent in 2014 at age 8. She made a CD in 2018 titled "It's Magic", which included 2 original songs, and was rumored to be creating another this year, but slowed production due to the world wide pandemic.

I would also recommend Summertime when she was 8 - mind blowing. Actually anything of hers is just awesome. From her recent staff i may recommend the Bohemian Rhapsody and Yellow Brick Road (my personal favorite) from AGT this year.

My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7 year old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven year old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were Baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7 year old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was itt? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on KZbin and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz,Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers,like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. I think I’ve watched the b&w version (conservatively) a hundred times. If there were a KZbin Hall of Fame, that video would have to be there. But I love this, even with the poor audio. Her voice is so strong and so right that this version stands by itself with no problem. We Angelina fans know how different she can sound with the many genres she chooses. This is a new one for me. I think she's between 10-11 years old here. Did you notice when she started the wo,oh, oh,oh oh, part she sang the whole first phrase in one breath. She is an amazing girl and an amazing singer. Did you also notice she is not sure what to do with all the adoration when she is finished singing. She always looks like she is slightly embarrassed to get that kind of attention. Even now when you get to her performances on AGT The Champions, she still looks semi-embarrassed there too. This young lady has always been fearless when performing. She is very popular in Korea. When she was 8 she performed to benefit a program urging childhood vaccinations. When it was her turn she walked all by herself, tiny and barefoot to the center of a huge stage where the mic was, then she sang her 3-4 songs and when she was done did her curtsy thing and walked off as the audience cheered her loudly. She probably could have done an encore if she had been ready for it. You could hear in this venue how much they love her. She is also very good with her angels, as she calls us that follow her. She has spent up to three hours after performing giving autographs and taking photos. She never complains. If you have read my 'magnum opus' under Daneliya's performance, this is Book Two. I stumbled on to Angelina 3 days later in the middle of the night, again, Angelina had entered Norway's Got Talent and had made it through the first audition. The performance I saw was her second audition she sang, 'I'm A Fool To Want You' acappella from a cold start, that means no starting note from the piano or guitar. Nothing not even a note from a pitch pipe. So at 7 years old, she launches into this Billie Holiday song and from start to finish, perfect. She was never out of tune once nor did she lose the beat of the song. This is a hard song to sing for an adult with music, and this little musical savant did it without anything. This should have been impossible, I mean she's 7!!!!!!! Oh, she ended up winning the entire competition at 8 years old.

Most covers have followed Nina Simone's path to a softer version of this Screamin' Jay Hawkins classic. I've never heard a cover that attempted to do it in his manner until Angelina, and she made the arrangement herself, at eight or just nine years of age. It's full beast mode Angelina that we may never see again. Going further back, her mother and grandmother were taken by her singing in the crib at 18 months. So, her mother put a mic in with her and coached her to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"...nada. Her grandmother, accomplished Iranian artist Mery Zamani, put on "I Will Always Love You" and you can hear Angelina singing a line along with Whitney. The words aren't especially distinct but she's in tune! Some one of us "Angels" will surely post a link to this video. Amazing... She's the result of incredible talent, an obviously strong work ethic and was fortunate enough to be born into a very nurturing, protective, environment. Enjoy your trip...

It's very likely she noticed a difficulty in her voice maybe days following that recording and realized she has to protect herself from doing damage to herself as she gives her all in EVERY performance she does. The Black & White version of this in the studio is cleaner. By that I mean you don't have the audience cutting in the background, and the mics are much better as well as the background instruments are all perfect sound level to her voice level. But ironically, she is 100% singing both versions at the exact same, not louder in the stadium. Like she is saying this is the right way, whether you have the right mics and the room accoustics are all on you, I only know the perfect way to sing it so thank you come again LOL If you want to hear her best, I have to say Bohemian Rhapsody from AGT is probably best arrangement. As for best vocal, it's a toss up between the B&W of I put a spell on you, and Born to Die by Lana Del Rey cover. My personal favorite is Born to Die, it's just amazing. And she never does any huge high notes or long over the top runs in it, it's 100% just her normal voice, and that only makes it stand out more for me, as she finds this deeper tone then in any other song and never breaks character. I can't rave enough about it for it's simple perfection, you just need to hear it and remember what her talking voice is like just before so you have a reference point. I know there are singers that try to find the low register at times, and it sounds forced, but she does it perfectly in that song.

Watch the Video on the Boris Palenovski channel, it’s really impressive. She’s only 10 in this video and she’s a bit older (12), and lets rip with the same easy style.

Just for the record, this live version from summer 2017 isn't too bad: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIbLYqSff9Fof9k (But, as everyone else is [essentially] saying, the B&W studio version is really the only one anyone needs to see - and I know you reacted to it shortly after this one.) The one I've linked to is "acceptable" because she seems to have actually put in a little effort to rework the vocal arragnement into something she can "live with" doing live, without it sounding like a "neutered" version of her old studio arrangement, as in this Seoul concert. (Sorry if this sounds unduly harsh. I just just _really_ don't care for all the other live versions I've heard, because they suffer so much by comparison with the "canonical version".)
