Thank you Chris! Great video. One of Kaleidoscope RMX’s videos I find especially well done is “Trampoline”. They made Angelina’s voice much clearer than on the original, I find. Replacing her guitar play with a piano made it sound more formal too, but her voice enhancement was prime. I hear so many textures in her voice. Love it! ❤

A nice video about Kaleidoscope RMX Chris. It's definitely one of those channels that really helps Angelina and they do a great job with their mashups and mixes. Also, really liked that you addressed the "toxic fans" that can really turn off reactors from reacting to Angelina's music. As you mentioned, there is a nicer way of voicing something you might not agree with. When Angelina told many of her fans to spread love and kindness, a few of these "toxic fans" unfortunately just don't get it. They may be fans of hers since NGT, or later, but their bad attitude and behavior makes them lousy representatives of the Angel Community...

Kaleidoscope has done a great job promoting Angelina Jordan. Most "toxic" fans are not well educated in copyright law. Certainly neither am I, but have learned a fair bit since becoming a Angelina angel. If Angelina's team didn't want anyone to react to her videos, then they can make that clear to KZbin and all other social media. The Eagles are known for not allowing their videos to be used in reactions, although that seems to have eased a bit recently. There are other artists who choose to not allow their content to be used. I think that is short sighted, as all well intended use provides good exposure for the artist, likely gaining them more new fans. When I see a "toxic" comment on a video, I either ignore it or smoother them in kindness. Most toxic comments are posted, attempting to start an argument and/or get a lot of replies. Don't allow the trolls to win.

Hi BAF. I have watched Kaleidoscope and other channels which enhance Angelina's videos from her own or grandmother's site... and appreciate their efforts; especially those that only support Angelina. I do have concerns that some of these channels are just enhancing or changing the original, just to promote their own site and make it more successful, while not necessarily promoting Angelina. Keep up the good work.

I too would not have heard of Angelina if not for reaction videos. I don’t really watch those talent shows anymore. Even if I did come across her on AGT I usually wouldn’t pay much attention to a contestant after the shows.

Great video Chris. I agree with what you’ve said. I particularly like your well-thought out position towards armchair “AJ Police” who feel it’s their place to patrol the artistic use of Angelina’s intellectual property by others who are simply amplifying the beauty of Angelina’s music. The irony, and what gets me the most, is the horrific absence of kindness and friendliness that crops up in WAY too many of the KZbin comment sections. These “Johnny-come-lately fans” of Angelina certainly don’t know of, or understand the essence of Angelina’s mission statement - “…to spread love through music, and be kind to one another.” 💛💛🫶💛💛 🎶💙👣

Most of us extended family members of Angelina are very protective. We must however be careful to allow for her musical as well as physical growth. I believe her immediate family have some common sense and also appreciate all of her dedicated fans. If the intent and demonstrated actions are above board, like Kaleidoscope RMX her family should understand and support these efforts

Thanks Chris, I am a huge and very long time fan of what Kaleidoscope does and appreciate all their efforts and skills in introducing creative Angelina content. They ONLY feature Angelina on their channel for a reason, they are long time huge fans of hers and they are doing nothing more than promoting Angelina and her music. Unfortunate that these "Fans" forced them to stop doing all the great stuff they enjoyed doing for AJ. Social media is a mammoth platform allowing people to say what the want and hide behind their screens with no consequences. This Father/daughter duo have nothing but full on respect for Angelina and it shows in everything they do. Hoping they continue to give us great content, have started to post a bit more lately, we should support them, not question their "motives"...just plain BS!!! Thanks for this one.

This was a very interesting video Chris. I have been a fan of Kaleidescope RMX almost as long as Angelina herself. It is a hallmark of Angelina's talent that so many other talented and creative people are so appreciative of her art. Also so many have used her material in creative and collaborative ways and for the most part have only advanced her standing as an artist. The recordings of her live performances in Norway and elsewhere have only contributed to the recognition of her boundless talent as a live performer. It is a shame that her team has not reached out to some of these people to facilitate their work in promoting her. I know it is difficult to do this and to control the final product. So we are left with this spontaneous outpouring of efforts by the people you have been mentioning in these recent videos. I know first hand what people went through to document the Vegas concerts. The results of James Thiel, yourself, Joey Farrell have veen wonderful. The work of Boris, Phillip and Rusty early earlier started this trend. Alan and Pontus have focused on many as well. We are all wanting to be protective of Angelina and her family and see her enjoy richly deserved success. But some carry this too far or impose their own subjective worldview on AJ and people reacting to her. It is the nature of online media and has negative as well as positive consequences. For the most part Angelina and her team have navigated this maze extremely well, and the Angel community is a wonderful phenomenon. I am optimistic about the future for Angelina and her fans. The few negative incidents can be written off to diverse human nature just as in rest of life. I appreciate all you do to promote positivity as well as AJ and her team do.❤

I am a huge Angelina Jordan Fan....Every time she sings she is a crowd stopper....but i have to ask what's happening.??....She gets momentum...then fades....builds momentum...then fades again.....I don't know what is planned , but i have noticed... fans seem to end up trawling through earlier work to keep her alive...in the public eye....I always enjoy what Chris and others have done and continue to do on Angelina's behalf. But i do get concerned that you cant keep fluctuating momentum......sooner or later the artist disappears....Many many great performers have not made it....due to twists and turns in the business....I think vocally she is one of the very best...top shelf...but i do worry that this continually singing on the edges....wont do it..... PS I would love nothing more than to be completely wrong.... and of course i wish her all the best. We all do....but where are the albums, where are the videos, where are the performances...you cant keep relying on the backlog of work she has done or singing sporadically in car parks and airports...etc. I don't know what her team are planning...but as Chris says....her online supporters...have the spirit and intent to support and promote her......If the team don't start getting a move on commercially and includes acknowledging people like Chris who are working so hard to keep her profile going....then you really have to ask, Is her team actually doing her any real favors or are they unintentionally sabotaging the very thing they are trying to achieve with her talent ? Its obvious she is absolutely itching to get out there...but they seem to be holding her back...and as we all know that cant work forever...sooner or later you have to lift to the next level....Let's all hope she does. and soon. A good example about what you are saying is her upcoming concert. The recent Back to Black video from London went viral and is probably what has lead to a big increase in followers on Instagram and TikTok. You would assume that they would want to capitalize on this by promoting the concert on those sites. However the only mention of it is on her website which is probably the least visited of her sites. Apparently emails were sent out to fans but I am on her email lists and didn’t receive any notice. Ticket sales are very slow so far, less than 200, which is understandable because the concert is basically a secret.

Just a note about Angelina and Christmas - she is already the best Christmas song singer by far due to body of work, Norway traditions truly beautiful renditions. However, Maria Carey owns the top spot during Christmas season due to her one hit song every year. But guess what? Angelina will own Valentines Day once Bad Valentine is released and promoted. Nobody else in sight for that position, so that every year people will replay her song on that day. She also has some special versions of My Funny Valentine.

I am one of those fans who is concerned about channels stealing her content just to make money and become popular on youtube and then probably change the title to their own business in future. What I would like to point out is "permission" is important in anything we borrow or use that is not ours. I like Kaleidoscope because they are actually making great content with her videos (without permission). What I don't like is channels that are simply taking a video or recording a live of hers just to upload same thing on KZbin. These are channels taking advantage of her popularity. At the end I am not one that is ready to go for legal action against this, I am just concerned and voicing my opinion. Even her team or herself Angelina would probably know about these channels so if they are still up on YT means probably is okay. This is the thing keeping me from going straight ahead with doing what I can. And yes I mean those channels that just take and post on KZbin with a hidden name (very shaddy) (that is why when I think about the intent, it results in shaddy) (No name, and just copy paste).

Thank you Chris for all you do, and shining a spotlight on different important parts of the AJ universe. Kaleidoscope RMX does such great work, always adding value in creative ways. For category 3 - substituting insruments - do you have a sense HOW they do that? It appears to me that either 1) they are great musicians and are adding the instrumentation themselves, or 2) enlisting friends / pros .... or 3) finding previous instrumental recordings that match AJ's vocals. Any idea? As for toxic fans, appreciate your addressing this topic forthrightly and being upfront about what you're doing, and agree with the ideas of being respectful and trying to discern intention.

I think in most cases they are using existing tracks. They must use ai to separate the vocals from the original instruments, as I do when I raise up her voice in the mix. There are at least a couple of cases where I think they said they did record their own music, as with the “My Funny Valentine” remake..

@@SteveAckerman-ly3qg Back when I first crossed paths with Kaleidoscope I was defending their “re-imagining” of House of the Rising Sun.” The father-daughter duo are Rinaldo and Amanda (at least I think the daughter’s name is Amanda). The “HOTRS” remake attracted many scornful comments because AJ made a few mistakes in her guitar playing and Kaleidoscope’s remake was looked at by many critics as trying to correct AJ’s mistakes. I privately e-mailed Rinaldo at the time and found out then that it was Amanda who was the true creative force behind the duo, and at only 13 years old, she took the criticism very hard. Rinaldo told me back then that Amanda wanted to take all their content down - she never wanted to “hurt Angelina” with the work they were doing. Much of Kaleidoscope’s best work was done back then and I believe that Amanda is in now in college and does less work for Kaleidoscope than she used to. But as far as I can tell, they don’t have a staff or extensive resources… just a very talented young lady who loves Angelina Jordan’s music (🫶😉).

Others, as someone else said, probably want the channel to not have her there anymore so they act as if they are her fans and become very abusive. The best thing to do is just deleat those who are abusive I would say. Angelina is a grown woman, now, who can defend herself if she feels the need. She probably doesn't even know about most of this stuff. It would drive a person crazy reading all these things about yourself. I imagine she is just living her best life and not thinking overmuch about what trolls are saying anyway. In the end her talent speaks for itself and will win out in the end.

I mentioned it before, but "fans" who don't seem to realize that behaviour which involves attacking people, being rude, insulting others etc., is diametrically opposite to what Angelina stands for, cannot be true fans.
