The line about liking 'perfect imperfections' in a person, fits the jazz genre perfectly, for a good jazz singer will always sing the same song a bit differently each time they perform it. That being the case, when Angelina sings jazz, she is 'The Queen Of Perfect Imperfections'.

What I so love about Angelina (I follow this young lady since about 2 months on KZbin now) apart from her awesome vocal range, is the fact that she is not going for 'the easy way': she always takes songs for which you must really have the guts to take them on because they are a real challenge. And it looks to be easy for her, but I have no doubt she puts lots and lots of time and effort in it to get it right to her standards. Angelina doesn't cover songs, she completes them. Every note is intentional as a vital part of the story as Angelina interprets it.

Nobody likes feeling stupid. But being at a loss for words here puts you in very good company, Mr. J. Being stupified is another thing altogether. It is being rendered speechless due to some event that overwhelms the senses (I am delightfully stupified over and over and over again). A kid singing overwhelms your senses? I'll let you answer that for yourself, but to me, it is an absolute yes. And the words we do use to describe it feel inadequate because they are. We don't have words for what she does because we've never seen or heard anything like it before. She sings in frequencies that reach and resonate with parts of us nobody else does. When she won NGT one of the judges told her that she had a very rare and special gift and that she had to take good care of it. It seems she took that advice to heart. Just look at what she does to everything she touches... I think it's safe to say the rocket is on the launchpad, and the countdown is imminent. I can't wait to hear what she will soon share with us!

I love your reactions, going from being weary to shock and surprise and delight. She usually doesn't need backup vocals but when she does her own backups it's dynamite as on Shield or Mercy soundtrack version. I look forward to a future, when AJ becomes a superstar to singing some duets with some of the greats. A lot great music to look forward to. Her voice is so versatile that it is always perfect for the mood of the song she is doing 💕

We don't need to worry about how Angelina is going to cover a song or how it'll turn out, you just need to sit down and enjoy the ride, she's got you, she'll make it her own and we all know what that means, it's gonna be a soul-soothing experience, all she needs is her voice, but on top of that you add a piano or a Guitar or whatever and it'll just be a masterpiece worth saving for music history, glad you did this!

Great reaction 🙂 In this one she sings to a rather cheap karaoke backtrack by SingKing. And the piano sounds VERY hard and generic. Still Angelina makes this sound SOOOO good. I think that was a good thing that you've choosen this directly from her channel, as this way you are reacting to the original. My playlists usually contain the rebalanced version pa1189j did and mentioned before, as the hard piano on the original is distracting quite a bit. Whereas I usually try to link to her original uploads where available, I believe that improvement pa1189j did is worth it to deviate in this case.

I believe she is singing along to a karaoke track, which means she had to fit the harmonies rather than the other way around. I don't know whether that makes it more difficult or not but I do know she has given karaoke a bad name. Karaoke singers aren't allowed to sound perfect and certainly not better than the original. How is anyone supposed to have any fun in bars around the world if people suddenly start singing in tune? Beer sales would drop, people won't need to pay for concert tickets; it's an outrage! Fortunately Angelina is not yet at bar-going age, so she has time to learn certain karaoke protocols. which include ditching the fancy mic for one that sounds cheap and muffled, failure to keep up with the lyrics, involuntary yodelling and ear-splitting plosives. There's also a requirement to be much more animated in order to convey passion. Rumour has it this same young lady sang 'I'd Rather Go Blind' perfectly while sitting down, which borders on a disrespectful level of showing off. Follow the rules or karaoke dies.
