I Subed last video, I’ve followed her since 2014,no doubt in my mind Angelina is the finest and most versatile vocalist I have heard in my 75 years, and I’ve listened to a ton of singers over the years, she stands with the best. Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them. Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. Dan, thanks for your reaction and I subscribed after your first reaction to my all time favorite singer storyteller, Angelina Jordan Astar. She posted a partial cover of "Easy On Me", on tik tok, within 24 hours after Adele released it. Angelina truly lives each song she sings and we can feel it. I suggest you encourage your viewers to subscribe to each artist you feature. Without the artists, there wouldn't be anything to react to. I wish I knew a way to get more viewers to subscribe to KZbin channels, after all it is FREE and it enhances the viewer's experience by being notified when a new video is posted. I am confident, a large percentage of viewers are not educated for how KZbin works and how they can help, for FREE, their favorite KZbin channels. I do know, some viewers of music reaction videos will only subscribe if the reactor encourages supporting the artist, so by doing that you should gain a few more subscribers. Angelina's Official channel is approaching one million subscribers, but after 10 years, we feel like she should have a few million.

And thanks for doing my request THIS quickly as well👍 You know, there a literally hundreds of performances of her that I could have requested, but somehow I feel that this one is a great choice for people that are new to her. So now you have seen her at age 13 and 15, but she started singing at age 1,5 years (we have a video of that as well 🙂) I'm sure there will be suggestions for her performances from she was younger, so I'll probably give you a few more suggestions from when she was around the same age as in this one. That being said, a LOT of my favorite performances by her came when she was 10😊 Performances from that age that I KNOW you will have suggestions for include at least "I Feel Good, live at The Stream Gir Tilbake", "Every Time We Say Goodbye", "I'm Still Holding Out For You" and "Summertime". "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor is another banger of a cover form when she was 10. She started singing at one and a half years old and she started with jazz, and English is not her native language, she plays about four musical instruments and writes music, her first studio recording was at six years old, she won Norway got talent at 7-8 years old and was on American got talent at 13 years old,, she wrote a book about why she sings barefoot,, a Documentary about her beginning journey was by, ( wrapped in a warm blanket, her younger years) shows her singing at one and a half years old and it was a Whitney Houston song,, Enjoy, you might want to start with her youngest years first,, because she sings all different styles,, just a note that you also should always watch her whole interviews and videos,, lots of questions get answered by her,, like on the "View" she tells how old she started singing,, and she sang "fly me to the moon" on that show which I feel is her best,, also she likes to close her eyes when singing, she says she go to a nice different place,, Enjoyed your reaction!!
