I’ll go out on a limb and say that most Angelina fans will say they don’t have a favorite genre-just as they will say they don’t have a favorite song. She covers so many different styles so authentically, so beautifully that it’s not possible to pick one over another. Angelina has covered the best singers singing their best songs, and many times I prefer her version. And her new EP has shown us that she’s going in her own direction now. I love young Angelina as well as older Angelina singing the classics, but some of these new songs are her own genre-and they are amazing.

I like what she calls her Jazzy Pop genre & of course her interpretations of jazz standards that we've all heard from the legends of the past, but none sung as beautifully as Angelina's version. I hope when she becomes world famous from her own original songs, that she will record an album, or two, or three of classic jazz standards. She owes it to music history to put her stamp on those songs.

Angelina appears to have made it her mission to explore as many genres as possible through ages 11 to 16, almost as if she were choosing ingredients with which to mould her own style. It's impossible to say which is my favourite as so many of her covers (and originals) are just SO good, and I find quite a few of them more enjoyable than the original. It is well worth taking the journey; you will find many gems amongst them. They just keep on coming, and surprise you every time.

Very nice reaction. Incredible deep register for a 12 year old. I don’t think I have a favorite genre for her. I just Love her voice and it seems to work with almost anything. . I know a lot of fans that have followed her for a long time probably favor the jazz songs and standards she started with and probably hoped she would stay in that vein. I personally would like to see her continue with her own music even if it strays a bit from her jazz roots. She still has the Jazz stylings in her voice which separates her from others out there. For her career to really take off and to sing for the whole world, which is her dream, she needs to broaden her audience. I think her EP is a good start. There are many artists who weren’t songwriters that have had great careers singing other people’s songs, Elvis for example. However I’ve always had a lot of respect for an artist and feel the songs are more meaningful when the write their own songs. Angelina has shown that she is a great songwriter so she doesn’t need to rely on covers going forward.

You've barely scratched the surface with Angelina. I'm not really that much into EDM but she was invited to feature on a TRXD song which I've been led to understand they wrote for her. The name of the song is "above the water." She could have easily chosen to do that style of music and made a good living at. This song brings me back to my childhood. My dad was the song leader for our church and every so often he would sing a solo. This was my favorite song of his he did. Later in life we went our separate ways, but this song still holds a special place in my heart. They even played it at his funeral. It was a recording of him singing it. It was very hard to hear at that time. It broke me. Anyway, another great reaction. Still think you need to check out my new favorite Aussie, Nick Cunningham. Please remember to continue supporting Angelina and other featured artists by directing them to links in your description of the original video and official channels. First, I love your reactions! AND, I was a huge fan of Elvis from age 13 to72! 9 years ago at 72 I heard Angelina for the first time (on Norway's Got Talent singing 'Gloomy Sunday') and at 7 years of age she turned my (music) world upside down! 'How Great Thou Art' is one of her best covers of songs Elvis did. She did it in the same key as Elvis (C3 I think) except he, as an adult male, could not finish the song in that key and had to go up one key towards the end whereas Angelina did the whole song in the same key as a 12 year old girl. (an almost impossible feat!). Oh, and yes, Elvis is still the King of music in my mind! Until that night 9 years ago when I heard Angelina for the first time there had never been a "QUEEN of Music" in my mind! That night she became the "Princess of Music" and now that she is approaching adulthood and her voice is maturing even more than what it has always been, she is the "QUEEN of Music". The first time I heard her cover of 'Suspicious Minds', 2 things struck me, (1) she had passed the test for being in the highest spot of music royalty (the Queen), and (2) my biggest wish was that the two of them had been alive at the same time and could have done some songs together!

We weren't sure how old Angelina was for this performance until the guitarist, Ivan Mendez, was interviewed by Alan Papier. Ivan told us he played for this performance and we know Angelina was 12 for each performance with Ivan. Both Ivan and Egil Claussen (also interviewed by Alan) told similar stories for when invited to the Astar home. They told us, Angelina would ask them if they knew a song and if so, then they would start the video camera and, in most cases, need only one take to create the videos we enjoy. No practice. One take and done. When more than one take was needed, most of the time it was the guitarist who made a mistake.

The control of her instrument and breath are amazing. Ivan Mendez was playing the guitar. He's in most of here age 12 video's unless something is blocking him. By the time she hit 13 she had already mastered 10+ genre’s. I like all she sings. If you want to her her sing something completely different try these 2 songs 🎵 that were written for her. One is called "Above the water" written for her by TRXD. It's a EDM. Than a classic poetry style by Nico Cartosio called "Song for A". He wrote it for her for his "Melting" album. Wonderful, Beautiful Blue, quite wonderful. I first saw Angelina's darkly prayerful version of How Great Thou a year or so ago and loved it. So much feeling gives the hymn new life. I first heard this song when I was a young child - sung by George Beverly Shea -live - at the 1959 Billy Graham Crusade evening rally at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and we drove into that city venue from our family farm in the hills, with us older kids (I was five) in the back of our farm truck, and the words and tune was still ringing in my half sleeping ears as we trucked back up home into the midnight.

No singer, prior to her, could go into the stratosphere to reach Whitney notes and then come down to a low register that was at the same level Elvis was able to do when he performed this song. The difference is that Angelina actually hold a longer sustained register in specific lines than 'The King' himself did. and we keep being told by vocal experts that her lungs won't be fully developed until she reaches her mid 20's.

Yes, sir. The song was written by a Swedish Minister, I believe in the later 1800s. It was popularized by the musicians in the United States in churches in the hymn books and Mr. Elvis Presley recorded it and brought secular attention to the song. I have no other reference other than my own. And I do try to expand my knowledge and taste as often as I can. I do hope that your heart was blessed by her performance and any offense that I may have inadvertently caused you could be forgiven. No matter the style, sir, the song is a treasure and belongs to Heaven and entrusted to the pen of a man in Sweden. 💕

Angelina looks about 9-10? Not important really, but she was fearless here and didn't stray from the original hymn, which is how Elvis performed it, straight up exactly the way we'd sing it in church...although the lyrics were a bit off, what she produced was exemplary of her approach...there isn't any genre she backs away from. Now, this is a BIG song to cover, similar to "I HAVE NOTHING" and I'll say the same way she sounded singing it at an early age and the updated studio BLACK/WHITE version shows growth. Angelina pushed her vocals as low as they go to visit her lower range here produce the cover because that's who she is, she pushes herself to sing even what might be considered impossible by others. Angelina again, does the same thing in a version of Sinatra's jazz classic "YOU MAKE ME FEEL SO YOUNG" and she blows this jazz classic out of the water...again, using both low and high register to delight your ears and make you SMILE...BIG TIME!!!
