It‘s unbeleivable, but Angelina sang this hard song two times in a row because technical problems. So you heard the second version. She sang it 1 Minute after the first version

Stamina aside - keeping the verses and placement of the song is always a singers nightmare when you have to do double takes. NIGHTMARE - it’s like involuntary dyslexia haha. For me, that adds so much knowing it was a second take. Stamina aside, keeping verse 1 and 2 separated is impressive on go #2!

What's more amazing is that Angelina figured out all that she does all on her own. Some years ago, Angelina was (essentially) asked about her school of music and its impact on her singing. She quickly replied, "I taught myself to sing". I don't believe that Angelina thinks about all the management of her notes, but rather, she knows the sound that she wants. and her body simply creates it. That's why it looks so effortless for her - because it is.

many people say that angelinba works hard on her voice.i don't think so.she is a genius.singing and music is within her.she is the music.she does the hard work in other areas.the permanent presence in the social media.the many events and her social commitment.it doesn't just look easy when she sings.it's easy for her.it's her world.when she sings she immerses herself in her world and she feels comfortable and secure.

Angelina was stellar in this performance, the first of several live shows through Norway in 3 years. She performed in the same location 8 years ago as a child singing What A difference A Day makes. She came back at least twice more after at ages 10 and 11 I believe. She absolutely killed the song which she had done three years prior for her Channel. Just like angelina, you guys killed this reaction and it was also stellar! Your analysis, appreciation, and support of Angelina are welcomed. Thank you again for encouraging the fans to go to her original video and channels to like, comment, and subscribe, to help her algorithm as you do for yours. Thank you and peace.

Her control of vibrato is legendary. She has shown she can use it with rising or descending notes, rising or descending volume, add it to any word or run, and even combine it with vocal fry. As many people have said, she has absolute control over her voice. We should never forget that having these vocal skills is only half of the performance. She has to have the musical genius to plan and put all of this together.

Welcome to Angelina in her native Norway. She did this festival almost every year from right after winning Norway's Got Talent at 8 yrs old till about 11. Great reaction. I am waiting for more reactors to jump on these new performances. I have heard after Allsang Pa Grensen held at Fredriksten which is a fortress in the city of Halden in Norway and where she did only two performances, she did about 17 songs in her performance at Kurbadhagen of which I have seen only about a half dozen including a new performance of 'Love On the Brain' and a couple of new Amy Winehouse songs. Can't wait for more to come out. ♥👣👸🏻 Speaking of Amy check out this one.Angelina Jordan (16) «Tears dry on their own» live at Kurbadhagen 1th of July 2022 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZuqnKmabc2nf5I Angelina really brings Amy back in this one. Just amazing. Far cry from the performance in her music corner at home. ♥👣👸🏻 or this one. 'Valerie' kzbin.info/www/bejne/nICknqqIr9-epqM Or how about a little 'Love On the Brain'. kzbin.info/www/bejne/baCkhKuNqdOnirc all at Kurvadhagen. Remember me. I goaded you into checking her out.

Hi there great to see you again - Angelina has done her first regular concert July 1. and there are Fan Videos out there - pls do Suspicious Minds i think it is her last song and she got very emotional at the end - priceless to watch - highly recoment tishues - by the way i got her book "Mellom to hjerter" and i Translated it to German - oh man i had to fight tears - very hard - a book of a 9 year old girl so well and honest with the Story of Princess - she dont get her real name - doing her homework on a street while earning money with a bathroomwage to feet her siblings - a girl Angelinas age with a late mom and small brother - not begging but working during a cold rainy day with no shoes and injured feet - people passing her looking down with superstition. this is the Real Story why Angelina gave her shoes to the girl - pls guys purchase her book and read it - it is outstanding stuff and we all can learn a lot - the wonderful pictures of Madame Zamany also add so much to the storytelling too - you got to buy it belive me - cheers from Germany

Even more impressive is that she sang this twice in a row. The film crew was not happy with their footage of the first one and asked her to sing it again. No break, and both times she killed it.

I mentioned this in another comment - but most people stop at ‘she sang this twice back to back, it’s a hard song that’s a lot of stamina!’ Which yes, absolutely But to me, the most impressive part is she didn’t make any lyrical mistakes. It’s so taboo to sing the same song back to back haha like instant dyslexia. Super proud she killed this even on the second take

A spectacular recorded this and shows that Angelina sang this twice back-to-back, and this is the second of the two recordings. (Yes, great breath control; I love her using a mic that picks up her breath. She does it so well, it becomes part of the music. However, you were commenting, so you might have missed around 7:40 in your video that she blew directly into the mic one time. Such is a live performance.)

Hello again guys. Great reaction! I really love your approach to her performances. You know, this was Angelina's second take of the song, back to back. In her first performance, her hair was constantly blowing into her face, to the extent that it really bothered her and affected her singing. I'm not sure if anyone except Angelina heard THAT, tho.. Anyway, she was given a 30 sec break to get som fixing spray or something like that and then she hit it again. Sounding like this on her second inning is mindblowing to me. She has developed an incredibly strong voice and must have lungs of steel. Another thing to consider is that she just came from LA where the temperature is hot. This day wasn't particularly hot here in Norway, and it was heavy wind. That dress of hers didn't give her much protection so I'd imagine she would be freezing as well. That didn't affect her singing either. She's a true master of her craft, maybe the best the world has ever seen. She's still only 16 for heaven's sake...LOL Love from Norway♥♥♥♥♥

Allsang - all sing as in sing-along. Pa Grensen - at the borders. It is a concert at the borders of Norway and Sweden and the audience is handed out the lyrics and invited to sing along. Singing along with Whitney is bit challenging though :-) She is still only 16 and is already so good with her vocal toolbox, her stage presence and her interaction with the camera and everything. I also love her long open vowels and even her humming sounds open no matter how impossible that actually is. She not only looks relaxed, she actually is: she explained in an interview that she enters a happy place when performing and gets a lot of energy from the audience. In other recent live performances, a full show with a set of 17 songs, she was laughing a lot. Seeing artists having so much fun and energy on stage is a joy in itself. I doubt if this was a with a live band: this might have been a sound track. If you want to see her perform live with a band, this an amazing performance ‘Feeling good’ during a TV live show: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmnOcn9jqKx9rpo She was only 10 there, but if you just listen to it, you would never ever guess that it is done by a 10 year old and is performed live. If you like her vocal fry, you might enjoy listening to ‘I’d rather go blind’, which has so much fry in it, you could call it a deep fry: I'd rather go blind: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnybnoCOhsdmlas If you want to be impressed by her lower range, ‘You make me feel so young’ is wonderful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4KxZJiZqNqngtU

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 22 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years and toured with Barbara Streisand accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show that aired Dec 23 of 21, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. Rob has been working with AJ from the very 1st day Republic signed her at age 14. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.)

Angelina sings “I Have Nothing” at Allsang på Grensen, Norway on June 22…LIVE. (Her arrangement.) They had huge technical difficulties. They contracted to record Live, the televised version, which meant that Angelina had to sing this song twice . . . back-to-back! Do you have any idea what this did to her voice? Difficult song to begin with! Such a professional. A Diva! 🌸

Just so you know, there are a whole lot of uploads on YT with Angelina singing live at these concerts in her home country Norway. There are others at a different venue with the great Jazz band she has performed with since she was a little girl, they are mostly fan recordings so quality is not perfect but the music is great and the band as well. Hope you get to view some of them. Cheers guys, stay well. Look forward to more with Angelina.

Can’t believe two guys didn’t comment on how amazing she looked in that gown at Sweet 16! The first time she sang this at age 13 she stayed pretty close to Whitney’s version, but this time she “Angelinaized” it by changing it up here and there and lowering the key. I’ll bet she doesn’t wear that hairdo outside with the wind blowing again any time soon! This was one of three concerts she is doing in Norway this summer.

Great reaction and commenting! Regarding the Amy Winehouse vibes: Well, there is almost always a hint of Amy (and BIllie, and Ella…) in Angelina’s voice and styling. Obviously, she also loves Amy - as do I. But while Angelina can do a perfect Amy cover (there’s proof!), it is very hard to imagine Amy doing a Whitney Houston song like Angelina does here. Amy was a brilliant artist that will never be forgotten, but she didn’t have the technique, range and versatility of Angelina Jordan.

Also should perhaps mention that she has lowered her key a step or two (from the version when she was 13).... never forget that Angelina is NOT a soprano like WH was. To compare them is tricky. since this reaction, Angelina has droped a studio version of the same, and to me, that version is her very best. Thanks for all the great reactions !

You spoke of her comfort singing in front of the camera for television. She has just been doing it so long. She has always been so relaxed with the camera. One of my favorite television performances is Feeling Good when she was 10 years old. There’s a moment all fans love as the camera does a full sweep starting from behind and wrapping around and moving away from her left. She has this split second moment where she connects directly with the viewer. Magical. Link to Feeling Good kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmnOcn9jqKx9rpo

The video you're watching was made in Allsang Norway in June 22nd 2022 and it was the first of 4 concerts she having while we're talking:July 1st, July 7th and July 10th. On the 7th she performed in Kongsberg and I was there. You can envy me but please don't hate me. As much as we love her in the videos, believe me, to see and listen to her live at close range (I was about 6/7 meters from her) is something else all together. They call her the Barefoot Princess. Watching her singing live on stage at a big concert is something quite different that watching the close-ups of her with a mic singing .. full focus and full emotion .. which she's done now😊 for quite a few years. I believe she's learning a lot in these concerts about how she feels onstage at this age .. it had to be different for her. don't know how much rehearsal time she had with these musicians, for example. I believe she did Crazy on a video online and I think she lowered the key .. but here they did it higher, and I believe it might have been for the fabulous guitar solo but she sang on a higher pitch, I believe, and I love her lower voice for this song. Her other version of this song .. on video .. is powerful and full and true. We're not accustomed to seeing her move around all the time .. I think it dilutes the emotion in the songs that were used to because of the closeness of the videos. But hey .. she is enjoying herself .. being back in her culture .. and once she has done these concerts and has watched them we might get her to do some here. I have no doubt. I am super proud of her .. this was a big deal, doing these concerts. She is phenomenal and I'm enjoying all of it a lot. Watching her laugh and being casual with the audience is charming and what this particular venue has always been.. with people singing along etc.. It's quite lovely and different and i love the human touch of it all...

Angelina does have natural jazz in her style, which of course Amy Winehouse also has, but no offense to Amy, Angelina's vocals are far beyond Amy's. I think the only time she is trying to sing like Amy is when she covers one her songs. Any resemblance past that is coincidental. Amy deserves a lot of credit for bringing Jazz to the foreground for a short time. Angelina is creating a new genre of Jazz infusion that will appeal to a wide range of people. She listens to and covers several genres and she takes what she likes from all of them. In 10 years, she will be a legend and only 26.

If you consider reacting to any of Angelina’s three exclusively-her live concerts in Norway this summer, then you may benefit to know the person posting videos at this link kzbin.info/door/g9k4ukdiHlvWAfHV35zqaw appears to have the best recordings of Angelina’s third live Norway concert. These have a better balance of vocal to instruments - clear sound. The first two concerts used wireless mics and this third used a wired mic. (Because she does not move around much, I suggested using a wired mic in social media, but I have no way to know whether I influenced the choice.)

I don't know squat about audio performance gear but do enjoy learning about it, even though I will probably make no use of the info. One question with this performance is, How are they picking up and engineering this performance for the reproduction we listened to here? You two discussed sound engineering of the live performance for the audience we saw in the video. How about the listener of the recording? An observation about this performance that may technically lie outside the realm of gear is the key Angelina is singing in. It's lower, at least by a step (two semi tones to British speakers). Compare Angelina's starting note in your video (time stamp 3:07) with Whitney's official version on this link (time stamp 0:20). kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKm8qGOOhaqigac You can also add Angelina's recording of same at age 13/14 (About the age she competed on AGT). Vocal begins time stamp 0:21. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4XGp6mFa6dmf9E This earlier recording by Angelina captures her singing in Whitney's studio recording key. Live verses studio makes a big difference in comparisons. Angelina appears to be in a studio here, but this looks like it was done in one take (you don't see any cuts in the video). If that's the case (your opinion on that would be appreciated on that), then this earlier performance may be legitimately compared to a live performance (you agree?). A very good vocal coach commented that Angelina hits the notes in this performance but strains to do so. I wasn't able to distinguish that, but I'll go with the expert's call. Straining is never good for the singer, and it can shorten careers. Lowering the key in live performance or on tour is a technique that can preserve a singers voice while usually passing muster with the audience. Except for me in this case because I have researched this piece before. The key change here hit me right off the bat. One thing I had done previously is search for live performances of Whitney singing this song. In any I found, she lowered the key two semitones. Whitney was not in her prime in any of the recordings that I found. The drugs apparently had had their effect on her voice. Comparing those Whitney live recordings to Angelina's wouldn't be fair. In terms of lowering the key for the live performance you just reviewed, it didn't play to my ears as big in the "diva quotient" as some other performances up to pitch. Healthy singing is paramount. It can't be sacrificed. Changing keys to do that in a diva piece allows not much more than a step change before it affects the listener. A skill that could be useful to a sound engineer is detecting strain in singer voices. Perhaps, some adjustments can be made post-production to clean that up in the recording. It's also useful to inform the singer in session, where they may choose to make a key transposition or allow significant intervals between retakes to let the voice recover. (Have you ever run into anything like that?)

This is a fantastic comment and I’m gonna do a video to respond to it all. Coming this morning - thank you for the commitment and comments. These are great observations Being a stalky male who had a real low voice at about grade 7, I know a lot about my transposing and adjusting keys to fit a singer, will also add my two cents on that. If the other reaction channel is talking about the difference between her first big note (the one I said she was thinking down on) and the matching two other - I might say strain is a strong word. It did sound like she altered her tambour or maybe moved intonation which could have been from fatigue, but strain comes from stress and Angelina looks very relaxed. Just my opinion. I’ll go further on the video

What? Do you think you have a life outside of reacting to Angelina? It has been 8 days since your last reaction. She held her first three exclusively-her live concerts since she performed ’I Have Nothing’ at Allsang. The third concert has 18 songs in the set and they are all online with decent sound recordings now. (I just rewatched your original Bohemian Rhapsody reaction again - fabulous articulation of your observations and emotions. You do need to get a ‘BEL watching Angelina’ bobble head made of yourself and sell them online ;-) So many people reacting, so few having something meaningful to say. You need to stay on top of this phenomenon. (You and I were both late to the party, but the party is only getting started.)

@@Beldvlmnt You are no more regular than I. I saw a FB post from one of the luckiest AJ fans on the planet. He met AJ in the airport on their way back to the states & got a selfie together, but then found himself on the airplane sitting side-by-side with AJ’s uncle/manager and immediately behind AJ & mom, Sara. He described AJ & mom as BFF.

Hi. Danilo again. A little word of advice, if you don't mind, expecially to you with the hair (sorry I don't know your name). Your technical comments are very interesting but, please, save them for the end of the vid. Don't stop the video every other second. It's annoying. I know you have a lot of things to say and you don't want to forget them. How about taking a pad and make notes?

Hang in there, learn from Angelina and if you don't know for sure about the sound she is making, find out and get back wiith us. Now that is a concpt that no other reactor has done. Viewers will look forward to hearring from you the next time you react to AJ. .
