This performance is beyond belief, the cinemaphotography, the ART, and this time we get to savor over 4 minutes of total bliss, no one is capable of doing this song justice like Angelina Jordan. David Foster and Linda Thompson, who co-wrote this ballad for Whitney Houston would be blown away by this performance. She changed the key to this song, but does it really matter as long as she has the ability to give each word, or phrase, meaning like no one else in this universe can. How can she evoke such emotion in each and every performance? Why do I get chills, or cry tears, or lose my breath when Angelina sing a song that I have experienced many times in the past without this happening? Which version is better is the wrong question. Whitney Houston is a role model for Angelina and has influenced Angelina. Angelina pays tribute to Whitney with her version but of course with her signature Angelina magic dust. At her last concert on July 10th 2022 in Norway, when Angelina told why she sings this song and dedicated it to her grandmother Mery Zamani (her grandma couldn't accompany Angelina on the trip to Norway and both were very sad), I understand this song completely differently whenever I hear the line "Don't you dare walk away from me" . I think that's the difference, Angelina loves the song. 💯 *AJ* 💯 BTW, If we are to believe what Kevin Costner and David Foster ( he wrote this song and produced it) said, Kevin Costner "Whitney Houston hated that song, she didn't want to sing that song, I had to talk Whitney into it". David Foster "The recording of this song with Whitney was very tiring and challenging. After many days of trying and trying, we finally got it done". 🤗

I read a comment the other day where the writer said that Whitney was 28 when she sang this song. Angelina is 16. Good to keep in mind. Thanks for your reaction .. and oh .. that last note .. blew my mind. She is a wonder. I am going to start asking a question to all angels .. has anyone asked Angelina if she likes or wants to be called AJ? We are using it SO much and I, personally, am not a fan. My name is Patricia and all my life people tried calling me Pat or Patsy or Patty. Had to start saying no and asking for my name, which I actually like, to be used: Patricia. So I always wonder when I see AJ used over and over by so many of us .. if we asked what she would like? She may like it, or she may not like it at all. I wonder how we could ask her directly and allow her to tell us so we use the name she is most comfortable with. It fits so well, it's even her first and middle name, last name Astar. In that circumstance is usually when you get the AJ or RJ, or JT, or DJ, etc. Unless they have two first names as well of course. It's short for text reasons, and no one gets to pick their nick names, except for you apparently Patricia 😋. But absolutely we'd listen to her if she had a preference, or disliked a specific one. As far as I know, Angie is popular, by her, her family and fans. It would be the correct one to use, since nothing else is confirmed accepted by her. Seen it in a years old video IIRC, so at least at one point. I use AJ a lot, I doubt she minds, but you raise a valid question. One day we'll get an opportunity to ask, she doesn't do much fan interaction in that way. If nothing else a talk show host or article interviewer will ask for us, and hopefully I don't regret my lazy choice that I like.

Okay, a few things. First, OF COURSE you know this song! You’d have to be from under a rock. I’m glad your memory was jogged later. Next, she did a “cute” performance but she most certainly is not in a class to be THE owner of this song. How dare you say Whitney is deleted. Tacky and disrespectful given the circumstances. This young girl is an epic talent in her wheelhouse but. Whitney is not to be attempted unless you respect the song. This young lady throws away verses because she didn’t get enough breath before the attempt. That Amy Winehouse affect is not really appropriate here. Also, please learn the words. There is a huge word switch midway that you notice immediately if you really know this song. And…The third “nothing” in the chorus has an “N” on it just like the other two. Stop making her out to be a “diva”. She’s on her way but not there yet. She swung for the fence here and got a double. Not her fault, but your reaction dissed Whitney and I had to comment. Always preface Whitney’s name with “the Great” or “the incomparable” and give her props after a cover performance as the legendary performer that truly owns that song. She is gone now. So don’t ever comment that she is “deleted” even if you mean only in your mind. David Foster did not write this song for a youngster still finding her sound. He wrote it specifically for an icon, and that is and will always be Ms. Houston.
