A week after the publication of this little masterpiece, I can't stop listening to it, she is absolutely fascinating and exciting. I love her voice so powerful, warm and delicate at the same time and I keep moving, every time. Don't make fun of the hair; she has some of the most gorgeous hair in the known solar system! The way it's styled here is a tribute to Priscilla Presley around the time of her wedding and marriage to Elvis. If you’re that surprised at how beautiful and emotional this is, it only means that you haven’t watched enough of Angelina. She has been knocking everything out of the park, and now that she’s older (but still only 16) her voice has more depth and resonance when she chooses to lean into words and phrases. The whole video has so many pieces that all fit beautifully together. She comes in uncovers beautiful pieces from the past. Her cousins and her sister show the passing of time. Than of course there is Elvis imagery: the rhinestone boots, the mic, the comeback tour black leather suit and the red guitar and her Priscilla beehive hairdo. Also the red suit of Rob Christie, playing the piano so wonderfully, suits the same era. The arrangement is great: she uses the bridge as an intro and an outro and boys does she enter strong! She makes you feel the sad story where suspicion destroys love. Elvis’ version is amazing and it is a joy to see it and to listen to it. At the same it makes me wonder how distraught he was being caught in an inescapable trap…. :-) I agree it is basically a new version. She just keeps growing and growing in her art. She still is only 16 and has a decade before her voice fully matures. That will somehow means that the jump she made from entering at 7 in Norway got Talent to this video, will be duplicated but I cannot fathom what that will mean as she is so good already.

Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. @@PowerfulReactions well Cole Macarthy and Republic records have a lot to do with it as well. She has unlimited resources at her disposal now, including as always her talented and loving grandma. Rob Christie the piano player, LA studio director for Republic Records, wrote the arrangement which is neat. AJ usually arranges things herself and you would swear she arranged this because it is the kind of changes she would do. He's always in her videos now accompanying her on piano, they are working on her original record with Republic and have put out a few covers to tide us all over in the meantime. Always a beautiful thing when bigger reactors help show AJ to a few more people, so thank you.

My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust.

Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great and it always was, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammes), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. I'm not sure that you recognize all the symbolism in this video. In Elvis' comeback special (Dec. 1968) he wore a black leather pantsuit and played a red hollow guitar. The keyboard player is Rob Christie two times Grammy winner from Republic Records. He bought Elvis’ guitar which is the one Angelina is holding in the video. In the 1960s, Pircilla wore her hair in a beehive as Angelina is in the video. Next: The 3 girls in the video were her 2 nieces and sister. Notice they all wore white. In all her performances except in the AGT shows and 1 other concert I saw, she always wore white. I think the girls represented Angelina' career to this point. If this marks a major change in her career, you are right. She signed with Republic Records 6 months after AGT. If you look at the part in the video where her face is centered in a little window, the camera then moves downward. The entire video is respect to Elvis, from the leather jump suit he wore, the Red guitar from the 68 comeback tour, the PRICILLA hair do, the red jump suit Rob Christie is wearing at the piano that the band members wore...holy crap.... and then of course the superior vocals from the generational talent that is Angelina....man, guess I am getting old....see it all.
