This video.... There's so much to be said about this video. The song is a demo recorded of a song written by the artist "Baby Fuzz". Angelina recorded this song and it was never released. Somehow the audio from the recording leaked out (hence the title at the beginning). It has been said that Angelina herself said that she would never sing this song again because of the suicidal suggestions of the last lines. For a long time it was just a quiet mystery. Nobody seemed to know anything about it, there weren't any discussions about it because every few days all the comments would get deleted. Occasionally the video would disappear (be set to private) for a while, and then reappear. Once some people did some reactions to it, (where conversations could take place in the comments), the information (that I gave in the first paragraph) all came out. That information is what sparked a little controversy about the video... with the one side saying "Angelina doesn't want to sing it, and it is a stolen piece of her work, so it should not be shared" and the other side saying ..."but just listen to how good it is!, This should be listened to!". I personally am on both sides, so I listen to it (often), but I try not to spread it around. There were some recent developments when BabyFuzz himself left a lengthy comment about the his take on the video and its history. That comment was pinned for a while... but if you go to the video right now, the comments are turned off completely. ..so the mystery continues, and the debate has been shut down ...at least on the video But for evidence on how divided the opinions are on this video.... There are two main Angelina fan groups on FB.... In one fan group, the group owner will post the video regularly, and it has been made clear by him that any speak against the video will result in a ban. In the other group the video is not even allowed to be posted, because Angelina doesn't approve of it. I'm a mod in both groups, so I can't (and don't want to) take a side on the issue, but it shows you just how heated this video is. I will say this though... it is one of my all time favorite vocals from Angelina. BTW: just for reference purposes (since the comments are off now), this is the comment that was left on the video by Baby Fuzz: "Hey! I'm getting lots of messages about this tune so just thought I'd clear the air! So the song was written and produced by me and a few friends in Norway. It was pitched around possibly for another artist to record, and apparently Angelina cut this version around that time (when she was only 10 years old - impressive!). I never heard the demo, though, and we were never approached about her releasing it as far as I know. The song sat for a few years, and then I just decided to put it out with my original demo vocals on. I came across this version after it was out already, and I think it's super cool. I don't think there were any hard feelings or anything, was just a demo that didn't end up getting released on her end. Hope that helps clarify!" - Baby Fuzz

Rusty I, like you think this track is amazing and probably one of the best songs I’ve ever heard, do you think this song is misinterpreted because I only hear it as a couple breaking up and we all know the feelings that go through people’s minds at that point, in the end it comes down to Angelina’s choice which we must support but this song with Angelina singing it would show the world what she’s capable of, she’s incredible.

I have only heard (hearsay) from someone that her mother said (hearsay2) that Angelina said (hearsay level: 3) that she would not sing the song again. When the song first surfaced some were interpreting the ending lines "hold my head under water" as a baptism.. others were interpreting it as suicide. In the end, it really doesn't matter if she sings this song again. I really hope to see her use this exact style in some other song. I also find it a little comical (and possibly connected?) that her latest song is titled "Above the Water" ;)

After binge watching reactions to Angelina’s other worldly and breath taking talent I have come to the conclusion that our mutual all consuming emotional reactions to what we are witnessing comes down to the dichotomy between her extraordinary mature and professional performances vs her childish innocence away from the stage. IMO, everyone that has watched her quickly recognizes her pure uncorrupted, unadulterated innocence and her sweet soul. We want to protect this beautiful angel from the greedy vultures in the recording industry. She is unlike any other, a gift to the world, and she must be protected at all costs.

I'm still holding out for you song written by Brandon Lowry( also goes by Baby Fuzz), Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen they went to 10-year-old Angelina with it and Angelina made this cut but Angelina's family didn't like the ending lyrics referencing suicide and asked for a lyric change from the authors and they refused so Angelina refused her video. Then the video was leaked, later on, also Angelina has stated she would never sing the song again. It's a terrible shame as it could have been a mega-hit. My favorite AJ song what a shame about the drama as this song could have been a mega-hit.

Angelina is an extremely bright, passionate and empathetic human being. Her music is her vessel to reaching others on a level that no one else (I have ever heard) is capable of. Yeah this song was leaked and the demo was never suppose to get out. Angelina won't ever do this song again because of the ending describes a suicide. Rumor has it the writer would not change the lyrics for Angelina. It's my understanding that it was written by Baby Fuzz & he looked for someone to sing it. He was working with some other songwriters that also knew Angelina so they asked Angelina to do a demo.

OOps. to finish the story, Angelina & her Mom didn't like the lyrics at the end that referred to suicide so she wouldn't sing it. Somehow it got leaked to youtube. They asked youtube to take it down which they did, but not before someone captured it, so it's still around. Fans are conflicted because we all love it (it's in my top 5), but we don't want to go against Angelina's wishes. I can't help myself, I'm addicted! A couple of years later Baby Fuzz recorded it himself & her says he never saw/heard her version until after he recorded it.

The way she conveys emotion into that song and affect us listener so deeply gives me the impression as if from a metaphysical perspective, that an old soul like Angelina convey her "soul" memories into that song. I have had the same experience. When I discovered Angelina I have been obsessed with her spellbinding and other worldly talent. It is only the courageous people who are brave enough to express their emotions publicly. Rusty has given an excellent synopsis about the reasons for this song not being approved by Angelina and the controversy surrounding it. However, as he is I am in both camps. My sense of loyalty to Angelina tells me that I should not listen to the song but my sefishness at the intense pleasure I get from listening to it over rides that loyalty.

As I remember it he and the other creators allow the Angelina version because they simply appreciate her and support her so we can enjoy her take on it from a demo way back. Dearest Bre in tears mixed with mine! What i find intriguing, to say the least, is that, after the reherseal of the song (how many?) and its recording as a demo, Angelina, who is very smart and fluent in the English language, realizes that, at the end of the lyrics, the word God appears and the lover holds her head under water, which leads her to decide that it is not Christian to commit suicide and the solution for it being released would be for its Canadian author, Baby Fuzz, to replace the verse. He refuses and Angelina says that she will not perform the song anymore! Forgetting, maybe, that Gloomy Sunday, called the suicide song at the time of its released, helped her to win the NGT. For a better summary of the little story behind the song, see, preceeding mine, the comment of Rusty Shackleford. Each time that a similar situation occurred, especially with Amy Whinehouse crude songs, Angelina made some appropriate replacements more to the verses and/or to the title and moved on with their posting. In my opinion, the intervention of her mother woul be more plausible. It is all very sad since that song recorded in London, England, is one of her best professional recordings ever. The leaking of the recording allowed many reactors, after some legitimate hesitation, to react to it. All of them, plus the fans comments and Baby Fuzz himself, agree that it would be quite a hit on every existing billboard and that Angelina, with the passage of time, should sing it again. Personally, the part of the song that i love so much, where Angelina super excells by the way, and that gives me chills every time i listen to starts at 5:06. Tears of joy and vocal artistic pleasure are, then, adding to the still existing chills. Ah, Bre, how do we love thee, let us count the ways!

There's so much death around us no matter what we do. My elder brother committed suicide when I was 14 and now my Mom and Dad are gone too. When we lived in the MidEast 1966-68 I saw people being shot in Beirut on the 5th of June, 1967. I see no reason why she shouldn't sing this song. She does it so well that it brings tears to my eyes! I'm kinda expected the audience to give him the standing ovation when the song ends though. I don't know but I knew Dimash for quite some time now. And I know he's really good. Maybe he's theatrical style is not really for me. But vocally I think he's by far the best male singer of today. No one can get close to him when it comes to what he can do vocally. And I wish he will sing more English songs. ☺️

I admire Angelina for not wanting to sing this song ever again. The end of it is so dark, and makes me cry. To let a 12 year old girl sing it, is cruel in my opinion. Specially for Angelina, since we know she feels every word she sings. No 12 year old should go through that. I do not understand why "Baby Fuzz" did not want to change the last lyrics. No need for that end in my opinion. I feel for Angelina. She lived the song. Awesome performance, but I agree with those who do not want to share this.

I am surprised though, that I am the only one here who feel bad when a 12 year old girl is singing about committing suicide in the end there, and the only one supporting her for her decision. im not 100 % sure but i think it was removed from AJ channel, some say the song is about someone who comitted suicide. From what i heard she wont sing this one anymore. Might be connected with her friend Aviciis suicide but thats just my personal thoughts about the matter. Someone copied the link and shared it hence the leaked thing. Im kinda glad its still out there its an amazing song. I also think the song can be interpreted in different ways

It's not connected to avicii in anyway. The only similar thing is that it involves suicide. From what I read either her or her mum didn't want to release or record it again as it deals with suicide and is not an appropriate song for her age. Saying that her mum let her sing gloomy Sunday on national television which if people don't know is also about suicide.

3:01 the photos that voice Some comments, reactors, not you, but they see when her voice changes in a song as she wasn't in her stride yet, she was a little nervous and settled in, all these different ways to see it as a minor flaw that will resolve itself. The thing is, I think nothing comes out of her mouth she does not intend. Those variations are on purpose and it behooves us to listen more carefully. This song is perfect. Her grandmother was the videographer.

All Things Bre - Hi. At the beginning (~1:27), you mentioned that there "used to be way more Comments". It's not just this video. Last night (March 29), I noticed that Google/KZbin has systematically deleted hundreds, if not thousands of Comments ALL over KZbin. You can prove this to yourself. Take a popular (even very popular) song recorded years ago - and covered by various artists, such that the video has 80-100,000 views (or more) - over 3, 5 or 8 years - and there will now be a remarkably small number of Comments, as compared to the number of views. I have seen videos with 0 (Zero) or 3 Comments. Kind of funny. Do they think no one will notice? Maybe they used an AI algorithm to "clean" things up??

My take on this MASTERPIECE is at the end she commits suicide drowning herself from love lost and is returned back to innocence as a young child but alone as punishment for taking her life as she raises her arms reaching for the moon seeking forgiveness...understand the video is shot with still photos through most of it as flashbacks of her past life, then after passing we are brought into her afterlife reality in motion...too powerful for most and probably why it was "leaked" but needs acclaim.

This song is sung by Angelina Jordan, but I heard that she said she doesn't plan to sing it again because the last stanza deals with suicide. Nevertheless, Angelina should know that "Gloomy Sunday", the song she sung that initially made her famous, also was perceived to deal with suicide. In fact, my father told me that radio stations stopped playing the song, because several people had committed suicide after hearing Billie Holiday sing it. However, I suspect that many people were actually helped and consoled by the song during that period of hard times. I wouldn't advise you to stop singing the song until you give it more consideration.

I cannot understand why Angelina's parents allowed her to sing "Gloomy Sunday" at age 7 in front of the world, and later 'Back to black", yet now they think this beautiful song is too "adult" for her to be singing.. Angelina is not your typical 12 year old. She is too mature, too worldly, she has a super intelligence, has the elegance of a classy 30 year old. She is not the :innocent little child" I see some people refer her as in other channels. She is like a supreme being, that's all I can think of to call her. Had she recorded this song, it would have went Platinum, sold millions of copies, and shot her to instant stardom. Don't forget that when she was only 7 she told people on the set of Norways got talent When I grow up I want to be a superstar...
