She is 9 in this. She has the widest range I've ever heard in my life. I'm Danilo, a 70yo Angel, amateur singer, from Rome Italy. She floats, slides effortlessly up and down the register from the higher belts to the lower notes that even a male baritone would find hard to hit( check her version of How great thou art). You stressed the point of her grasp of vocal ranges, even at this young age. Her vocal control is unheard of. She masters all the singing technics just because they are innate in her. She was born with it. She knows exactly when to use vibrato, fry, a little grit, twang, falsetto etc. When she auditioned at the NGT,age 7,with Billie Holliday's Gloomy Sunday, the lady judge with short dark hair summed it up beatyfully whit 4 words:" you are the music"! By the way, I've just subscribed. 😉🤩

Disbelief is very normal when you realize where her skills and understanding of music are. She is peerless :) I think anyone with some talent for listening, and I mean really LISTENING to music will recognize how great Angelina is. All successful musicians will have this talent. A lot of people that for various reasons do not sing or play an instrument will have this listening talent. I think she will be the most loved singer of her time.

- Who is Angelina Jordan - Angelina is a Norwegian born child prodigy in music. She's a singer/ songwriter who's arranged over 180 covers and 5 originals, all since the age of 7. Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. She's also influenced by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, and Adele, to name a few. She's also been said to be the girl of 1,000 voices. Yet even though we can hear the phrasing and style she puts in the songs, it's always Angelina that we hear. At 7 years old, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. She was the last to audition. The judges had no idea who she was or what she could do. They saw a diminutive mussy haired, barefooted girl with her teeth still growing in. For her audition, she performed "Gloomy Sunday" from Billie Holiday. On TV-2, they've reported over 14 million views of this performance. This does not take into account the many hundreds of reactors showing this audition to millions more. Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood. That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, and even Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old. Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final 5 when she dropped from the competition. It wasn't that she wasn't good enough to be in the final 5, but it was because she refused to sign with an AGT affiliated label, should she win. She knew very well what production hungry labels could do to her music. She even turned down Disney. At 14, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control as well as control over the performances she would make. Angelina is now 16 and lives in LA. She turned 17 on January 10, 2023, and will graduate from high school after the spring semester. From then on, she will embark on her full-time professional career. She's been working closely with Republic on her first album under their label. It's likely that it will drop shortly after her graduation.

Thank you for featuring Angelina a second time, I hope you will do many more reactions to her, as she is well worth every nanosecond you spend on her. I have watched and listened to her in awe since she released her first video on KZbin, and what has been evident to me from the start is that she sings with total conviction, despite the fact that she is far too young to have experienced the events suggested in the lyrics of the song she has chosen to sing. But it is not only that, for strange as it may seem is the even more remarkable fact that she can convey the appropriate emotions within those lyrics to her listener. Angelina was 9 years and 2 months old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, who wrote and performed the song in 1956 (50 years before Angelina was born). She based her arrangement on his original performance, although she discarded all the theatrics and allowed her voice and body language to tell the story. The song has been covered by many singers over the years, but to my knowledge, Angelina is the only one who has sung in the same style as the original. There are many things I found particularly worthy of note in this video. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. Another Angelina "Angel" has pointed out something else which I had missed, and it is added at (l) below, (a) Angelina finishing writing last minute changes she wanted and handing them to the Music Director, who smiled. (b) A brief glimpse of Mery Zamani, Angelina's maternal grandmother, a well known and respected Iranian Artist and poet who was also a child prodigy. She was the person who recognised Angelina's talent at an early age and exposed her to all the old time jazz singers. (c) The candle with an image of Screamin' Jay Hawkins on it. (d) The smile on the face of the Bass player. (e) How she rose on to her toes on the last occasion she sang "...because you're mine" (f) The fact she occasionally refers to her written notes on the music stand. Possibly to remind herself of the last minute changes she wanted. (g) Her unwavering passion throughout the performance. Evidenced by her facial expressions and the way she uses her hands and body to emphasise the direction of the song. (h) The way she takes a breath just before she starts the last phrase (I don't care.....) and that breath lasts the whole of that sustained note. A child of that age should not have the ability to hold a note for that length of time. (i) At the end, when she sings I Doooont Caaaaare, she employs TWO separate and distinct vibratos to the word care, a wide one to start the word and a tighter one to close the word (j) The instant transformation from "performance" mode to that of a pensive child, possibly wondering whether she could have done better. I comment on the "pensive" child because Angelina has an incredible work ethic and seeks to perform every song in a way she considers will bring out all the emotions within the lyrics and melody. (k) Perhaps the most remarkable is that despite her tender years, she sings with such total conviction that her authenticity is never in doubt. It is easy to believe that she has experienced the events described in the lyrics. It is not only her voice that is mesmerising, it is also her facial expressions, and the way she uses her hands and body. Her stage presence is electrifying. (l) The performance absolutely is powerful and raw but to me, I am amazed that this is balanced by the profound beauty of the ending phrase; the last twelve words of the song. AND… they are essentially sung a cappella! Angelina has been referred to as the "Queen of Jazz", "The Barefoot Princess", "The girl with a thousand voices". All of them are true, but I prefer the nickname I gave her after listening to about six of her performances. For me, she is "The Chameleon of Song", for as a chameleon is able to change its colour to match its surroundings, so Angelina is able to change the "colour" of her voice to accurately match the needs of the song to reveal the emotions within the lyrics and melody. Even more remarkable is her innate ability to communicate those same emotions to her listeners.

She is absolutely out of the ordinary, but she is also so tremendously charming that she captivates and amazes you every time, she is surely the only 9 year old girl who has the courage and the ability to take this song of Screaming' Jay and rearrange it according to her sensibility and musical vision. Fantastic reaction Mr J. Clearly, Angie is a physically beautiful young woman now, which is what many new followers will note from the FIFA ceremony. Going back thro her childhood u will enjoy the fabulous vocals she has shared over the last decade. This, along with her humanity is the foundation for what she has become. She is so much more than outer beauty, whereas often that seems to be the only priority in mainstream popular music. Hope that u will continue to enjoy her vast back catalogue of performances on YT and her newer shorts on TikTok and Insta.

AJ learned jazz as she was learning to talk, literally in her crib. Jazz is a native language for her. She was filmed singing Whitney Houston (in English) in her crib, age 18 months. Words were a bit mumbled (remember, she is Norwegian), but she was in tune. Age 2, she walked around with a tablet selecting songs to listen and sing to from KZbin. Age 3 she announced she wanted to sing for "that Simon guy". Age 7 she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent and won that competition (had turned 8 by then). In an interview around that time, she announced that she wanted to sing for the whole world, yesterday you reviewed her doing just that. That my friend, is the fast track.

Angelina 9 yo. Look at her! She controls the entire recording. She has the power and ability to carry this out. The fact that she then has an outstanding fantastic voice and theatrical body language only makes everything even better. The musicians are also amazingly good. They give everything to complete this masterpiece! This little Norwegian girl reads the English lyrics while singing! She is from Norway and they speak Norwegian there. English is Angelina's 3rd language! Already at 5-6 years old, she understands exactly what is meant in the lyrics! Incredible! A genius at work. - The Barefoot Princess - (From her book, television and radio interviews, and podcasts made between 2014-2015. Includes excerpts from her diary made that day in 2012.) Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them. Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.” From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

Angelina has actually been performing professionally since age 8. She was never told she couldn't pursue the music she just had to also devote time to school - in fact, she signed with Republic Records at age 14 with the stipulation that she be allowed to finish high school before the release of her all-original album and the full-time promotion that goes with that.

It boggles the mind that she entered Norway's Got Talent at 7 years old singing jazz and blues and won. Hi, now you have heard our "The Barefoot Princess with 1000 Voices". Angelina also did the arrangement of this song. She was 9 yo in this Screamin Jay Hawkins cover. She is able to adapt her voice to her arrangements of the songs. With this voice, almost all people are so surprised. And if you are not surprised, you have not understood something. Great reaction. Thank you. Angelina was born on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway (17 years old today). She started singing at the age of one year and a half and has been arranging her cover songs since she was 6 or 7 years old. She started with jazz!! She won “Norway Got Talent” at the age of 8!! There are more than 150 cover songs of all genres and singers. Now she also has her own songs. There are cover from Queen, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, Lana Del Rey, ELVIS, Michael Jackson, Billie Holiday, Elton John, Etta James, Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra,.... I believe that Angelina's talent is that she can transform the "old" songs into the present day without taking the spirit away from the songs. She makes the songs interesting and audible for young people, especially in jazz. Angelina developed her own, I would like to say unmistakable, style at such a young age. This is real art. - Why Angelina always sings barefoot: At the age of 6, Angelina traveled to the Middle East with her grandmother, who is from Iran and is an artist herself. Angelina noticed a girl her age making some money by asking passers-by to stand on her bathroom scale to be weighed. In order not to soil the scales, Angelina took off her shoes. She chatted with the girl who wasn't wearing shoes and learned that she is an orphan. The girl admired Angelina's beautiful shoes. Angelina then gave the girl her shoes. The girl thanked her and said she would pray for Angelina every day. In return, Angelina promised her that she would always sing barefoot at public performances until all the children had shoes. Until today Angelina has kept her promise. In 2014, she sang barefoot outdoors at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert honoring Malala in December. She also sung barefoot at a dinner with ex-President Obama. At the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about this story, becoming the youngest published author in Norwegian history. Yeah..Angelina made history here. She understands music (somehow) at a deep deep level and has the "skilz" to bring it to life! It is truly a conundrum when we try to rationalize how it is possible that this tiny sweet-faced 9yo Norwegian girl can step up to a microphone, flip some switch within her, become this "beast-mode" version of herself (most probably named "AJ don't play"), deliver an extraordinary and musically and socially sophisticated performance, then just-like-that return to the pensive young lady once again... There aren't words for this! "I Put a Spell On You" has been covered many times and is recognized as a classic, yet almost never is the tone of the original 1956 "Screamin" Jay Hawkins version captured. This is because Hawkins was the original shock-rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne-type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. Yet Angelina respectfully sings his own song in a manner that exceeds his (Hawkin's image is on the candle she holds at the start of her video). You must go and listen to Hawkins' original (and throw in a couple of "famous" covers as well) to see the true genius in how AJ incorporates many of his vocal elements [usually omitted by most singers]. This shows another aspect of her musical IQ and arranging genius (not to mention her masterful control of her vocal instrument equaled by few others regardless of age). "Screamin" Jay Hawkins original "I Put A Spell on You" kzbin.info/www/bejne/paOxoXtsnt6ioas Good reaction and yes figuring Angelina out is a tough job because she can do things she shouldn't be able to do. Yet there she is. But the good news is you have 160+ Angelina videos to use to work on the problem!! Better get started!

I think the gest of what people were trying to say is that her parents tried to protect her childhood as much as possible while still nurturing her talent. They knew exactly what they had on their hands, a musical genius and a true child prodigy. They limited her performances and kept the record company vultures at bay as long as they could. But there is still a large volume of her early work to enjoy!

Every day for 8 years I have listened to her hone her art by tackling all the great vocalists through the ages and genre. She's an amazing ability to adapt the colour and texture of her voice. She endlessly surprises me. No 2 songs seem to be exactly the same. We are always excited to see how she will arrange a song.

What you will soon realize is that Angelina today at 17 Angelina is already the best Jazz singer on the Planet! IMO Soon to be one of the Best Vocalists of All Time. ♥👣👸🏻 Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her next performance was a beautiful rendition of 'Bang, Bang' by Sonny & Cher and performed most famously by Nancy Sinatra. She won the competition with what I consider her first Masterpiece performance of 'Summertime' by George Gershwin. Shortly after winning she was designated a National Treasure by the Norwegian people. ♥👣👸🏻 There is video of Angelina recorded by her mother Sarah Astar singing a couple of lines of "I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston when she was 18 months old. She started studying all the greats of Jazz soon after under the guidance of her Iranian Grandmother Mery Zamani a child prodigy in her own right as an artist and poet. English is Angelina's 3rd language behind Norwegian and Farsi along with Japanese and some German and perhaps more. She did this from 2 & 3 yrs old by scrolling thru KZbin of all their most Iconic performance. Angelina doesn't just mimic these greats, she reinterprets them and then simply sings them the way they were meant to be sung. She makes them her own. Angelina was begging her mother to go on "that Simon show" when she was 3 yrs old. encouraged to sing children songs, she would have none of that. Angelina chooses her own songs and she is absolutely fearless. No song is too big and no artist is too Iconic. All the most Iconic songs by the most Iconic singers in music history. Angelina has said singing to her is as important to her as breathing. ♥👣👸🏻 She will sing anything Acapella at any time and often does. Her Tic-Toc is full of these impromptu performances wherever she might be whether in the car, walking around the neighborhood or in a parking Garage. Accompanied by most often a simple guitar or piano her performances are always incredible. Add a band or even a full orchestra as in her performance for Quincy Jones at his request singing his arrangement of 'Fly Me to the Moon'. The same arrangement he did for Frank Sinatra. This opened for his 85th birthday celebration at the 02 Arena in London. ♥👣👸🏻 She is well known worldwide in the industry. Her family and Angelina have been holding back turning down many of the biggest in the industry while she finishes school. Remember she just turned 17 January 10th. They finally signed with Republic Records about three years ago after getting a deal that gave her control of her artistic vision and has since released 2 originals, 'Million Miles' & '7th Heaven' plus a soundtrack for the New Movie "The Hating Game" which opens with her song 'Mercy' performed most notably by Duffy. Republic has labeled her their Highest Priority and assigned a team to her including Rob Christy a multiple Grammy Winner, often on the piano in many of her performances and a whole team of equally qualified professionals. She has worked with some of the best musicians in the industry and always get exactly what she wants. They call her the Boss and have immense respect for her. She is due to release her 1st album promised by Angelin to be soon. She has been diligently perfecting her craft since winning Norway's Got Talent singing all over the world, Germany, Japan, Korea as well as TV appearances such as The View, Little Big Shots and most notably America's Got Talent where she premiered her Iconic Performance of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' which Queen gave her the rights to record her own version available on ITunes and Spotify included on her Album 'Magic' which she released on her own along with a Christmas Song collection. She didn't win AGT because she would not sign with Simon. IMO. She has also sung for Many Heads of State including Barack Obama and a couple of songs opening for Norah Jones in Korea. She also sang at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert at 8 yrs old for Malala and another recipient. Mostly she has sung for charities helping raise millions for children charities and climate change. The great part is that most of it has been well documented often by herself and her family. Her Grandmother who introduced her to Jazz at 3 & 4 yrs old is behind the camera more than anyone else. Norway proclaimed her a National Treasure shortly after she won NGT. Love the reactions. Get ready for a deep dive. She is worth it! Love from the Land of Vikings here in mid-Minnesota USA wherein lies a huge proud Norwegian population. ♥👣👸🏻

OK, now you may have an inkling why this is called a rabbit hole. Relax, it is a very enjoyable journey. You will enjoy Angelina's early performances on KZbin, they are all very simple arrangements (unlike this one, which she did herself at this young age) and most of them are incredible. She has an incredible talent for handling wildly different genres (she is called the girl of 1000 voices), and is able to make every song uniquely her own. She is just an unassuming young girl before the music starts, but she enters her music mode the moment the music starts. Please take care to play all her videos to the very end, in many cases you can actually see when she quietly comes out of her music mode and becomes just a little girl again. Those moments are priceless. Best of all, she has the magical talent of inviting the listener along for a journey into her musical world. It is uncanny at times

Why? First recorded in her crib singing in key at eighteen months of age. She is next found at two and three scrolling through KZbin looking for Jazz artists to listen to. She is seen doing this for hours. At three after seeing talent show she tells her Mother she wants to sing on that Simon show. Enters school at four and in addition to normal classes she enrolls in after school program taking music, piano, violin and flute. By five she is speaking three languages, Norwegian, Persian and English. She is also studying music theory learning to deconstruct and rearranging songs to her liking. Is reading English. Tells her Mother she wants to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, and try’s to audition for Norway’s Got Talent, but, is told she is too young and must be seven. She is keeping diary and recording events of her life. At six she enters sound booth for the first time and records four songs, Rolling In The Deep, Hurt, Sky Fall, and most notably I Who Have Nothing which you should react to,as it is honestly an amazing moment in music history. Now she is seen in the Middle East where the legend begins as to why she wares no shoes. She will write a book about the events based on her diary, written at six. At nine she publishes “Between Two Harts “ becoming the youngest published author in Norwegian history. Previous to this she auditions for Norway’s Got Talent at seven and wins after just turning eight, becoming the youngest person to win a major talent show competing with adults. All this time her family try’s to slow her down, but she is driven, and wants more. She had been listening to Jazz while in the womb, and many believe music is her first language. To this day you hear and feel this influence in her music You have chosen to follow a child who will change and move you and the world to a better place.

You were right she is about 9 years here. Her first good recording in the studio was at 6 years old (song: I who have nothing) - look for a video with English subtitles - for me already then she sounds like a professional - and this is the only video where she behaves like a child - so excited when she hits the note. The next one which made her popular was Gloomy Sunday (age 7) - again look for a video with English subtitles - in this video, she was even missing front teeth. I gave you these examples to see how dedicated she is to music - In one interview she said for me singing is like breathing; when I sing I go to another world. I hope this shades light on the things you were questioning.

I love this performance so much. As they say AJ don't play. We get the most stunning, amazing performance of a 9 yr old of this Jazz standard ever created. I believe it is going to go down in Jazz & Music history as the best ever for this age and in my opinion the best rendition of this song ever created Screamin Jay included. It will be revisited for Decades and will remain relevant for Generations to come. Anyone who discovers this performance for the first time today or a 100 years from today are going to be as amazed and astounded as everybody has been to this point. Think of the children who will be inspired by this one performance in the decades to come. This is an Iconic performance and will always be Iconic. Angelina has on her own from early on at 6 or 7 yrs old reintroduced what I believe will be a whole new Jazz Era and redefined by this young phenom and prodigy. That is astounding! And she is just 17 years old... That is unfathomable. She has already established her proficiency and incredible work ethic in this endeavor guided by an incredible family and professional support now surrounding her. You just watched a Masterpiece! Destined to go down in Music History as the best performance by a 9 yr old, Period! Past, present & dare I say Future! I'd like to see anyone, young or old who can do a cover of this & with the justice it deserves as Angelina has done on every cover she does. ♥👣👸🏻

How does a 9 year 2 month child know so much about how to use her voice? She is a prodigy, a genius, a member of a very smart, loving, caring, and artistic family. Also, she is an extremely hard worker who was determined from a very young age (at least as early as 3) that she wanted to be not just a singer, but a superstar and sing for the whole world! ( which she did last week at the FIFA awards). The first video of her singing was at 1 and 1/2 years old; she even knew how to use the mike. By the time she was 3 she was using the internet to look up singers and listening to their songs and their vocal techniques, and then teaching herself how to do the same techniques! All of this combined with being an "old soul", the reincarnation of several of the most famous singers thru out history, and God gave her all the voice, the brains, and the drive to be everything she wants to be is HOW! Do I actually believe this last sentence?? Before I accidently saw a video of her performing on Norway's Got Talent 10 years ago, NO I would never have believed any of that! But when one listens to a few of her songs, or sometimes, just one, it will make one believe all things are possible! And by the way, HE also gave her the biggest heart and the most caring soul I have ever seen in any human being!! I mean, what 6 yo takes her shoes off and gives them to another child who had no shoes, or what 8 yo gives her NGT winnings to children's charities , or at 8 preformed for a charity even thou she had a very bad cold and the Doctor had even told her not to?? For most of Angelina's "angels" it is not JUST because we like the way she sings! It is because of the total package that is unmatched by any person I know of!!

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener. In this video did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the pianist, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. In the band, she was called a boss.

Just react to Angelina doing James Brown's "It's A Man's World" live when she was 12 years old... I think you will be impressed to say the least.. But there are tens of songs from her that are really impressive. And from many different music genres also. She is really good at singing traditional jazz (like Billie Holliday, Etta James, Dianah Washington, Frank Sinatra etc.). She is really good also singing Elvis covers. In FIFA concert the audience was anxiously waiting for the most important awards to be unveiled and Angelina's and RedOne's performance was just before that highlight of that ceremony so the audience's attention wasn't maybe fully on their performance. The award show had been going on almost 1 and a half hour already before that performance.

Angelina Jordan found she wanted to be a singer when she started singing at age one and a half. She progressed quickly, reading music, singing, and playing instruments. At 7, she won Norway's Got Talent against adult contestants. A genius once said, "I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music." It might have been Angelina, but it wasn't; it was Albert Einstein. Advanced musical thinking is a sign of genius. I believe Angelina is about to take her genius to fulfill her goal of singing for all the world. As she has stated, "Singing is like breathing for me."

Angelina was 9 years old in this performance -- This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes and it is read by the bandleader. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. For more insight into how Angelina works, here is a rehearsal video with the same band at the same age (9 yrs old) - You will see that she is aware of what each musician is doing and gives them some instructions. There are English subtitles as the spoken language is Norwegian: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXLOi3d3ja90aqc

I think your reaction is a reflection of what most of us have. Unlike many I have no problem understanding what I am seeing. This is what people have seen in the past .. we can read about it in history books .. this is what a person experienced when they first walked into Michelangelo's studio, the day someone realized what Da Vinci had in his notebooks, the concert hall someone attended having no idea who Beatoven or Mozart was and then had the music attack them, this is what someone experienced with great opera ... simply .. we are lucky in this age of the internet .. we are present when such a phenom is revealed to us .. and we .. wonder.
