Yes, this has become a classic on its own. Here, Angelina, at 9 yrs 2 mos old, has captured the essence of the original song by Screamin' Jay Hawkins in 1956 in her arrangement. In the intro you can see her writing out and passing last-minute changes to the arrangement to a member of the band. They may have gone in that day and been taken aback by playing for a nine-year-old, but by the end of the day they were calling her, "The Boss." After auditioning for Norway's Got Talent at seven and winning it at eight, she was literally a professional by age 9! Now, at sixteen, she has written 5 songs, sung two written for her, and covered about 170 other songs of 75 different artists. And, she signed to Republic Records at age 14. She is the real deal.

Every time I see this I'm still blown away. I also find myself thinking a lot about those amazing musicians doing this cover with her. They are extremely good! It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, and she based her arrangement on his original performance, although she discarded all the theatrics and allowed her voice and body language to tell the story. The video has received 9,559,247 views and 8,121 Comments. Worthy of note in this video are (a) Angelina finishing writing last minute changes she wanted and handing them to the Music Director, who smiled. (b) A brief glimpse of Mery Zamani, Angelina's maternal grandmother, a well known and respected Iranian Artist and poet who was also a child prodigy. I would argue that English was her fourth language. Her "original" languages were Swedish and Persian but her parents moved to Norway. I know Norwegian is similar to Swedish but still a different language.

The Greatest Performance Ever by The Greatest of all Time. 9 years old and does her own arrangements. Crazy I suggest her 4 songs, in order with CC, on Norway's Got Talent 2014 at 7 and 8 years old. Greetings from Scotland! Ha ha! I wondered when you'd get to this performance Tehillah! One of my favourites videos to watch reactions too! YES, this was A.J. singing! She is a child prodigy! This was a tribute to the famous Screamin' Jay Hawkins, (On the candle at the start), an American singer-songwriter, musician, actor, film producer, and boxer! His version was right at the extreme end of music, if you get a chance view it! A.J. was around 8/9yo here and this was the only time she sang it in this extreme fashion because it would damage her voice to keep doing this style. In the beginning you see her making notes on the score and handing to the musical sheet to the musical director, he looks at it, smiles and agrees it is an improvement! This girl always comes out prepared but never 100% happy with her performance. At the end she puts her hand up to her chin with the look that says, "Hmm, I can improve on that performance!" A truly incredible artist! Great reaction as always!

From Iowa, USA; OK, WOW ❗🤗🌹 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records. 3. AJ began singing at 18 months. Her grandmother was a jazz/blues fan and played that genre of music for AJ. She fell in love with it very early on and has even arranged most if not all that she sings from age 8. What an incredible talent. 4. Currently in 2022 she is in her mid-teenage years, stands 6 foot tall and still performs barefoot. The backstory of her encounter with the homeless girl she met while she traveled with her family through Iran at age 6 includes the weather damaged bare feet of the child she gave her own shoes to. 5. The reason she performs barefoot is to bring awareness to her public of the children worldwide who can't afford shoes of their own. She has raised millions of dollars for clothing including shoes for those unfortunate children. 💕 6. AJ sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother). 7. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. 8. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since my age of 7.
