👣Angelina, - back in studio, giving her first attempt on her recording of this song. For this she brings with her the voice from Shirley Bassey version on the song, but also, as it sounds to me, very much of the arrangement from Tom Jones`version. I`m quite sure Angelina has studied them both. So she could pick the "creamy" parts from both. After my ten years of listening to this amazing girl, i find she has made that a habit, as she find her way to do covers of these geat classic songs. She pick all the best parts she can find from former stars, then mold it in her amazing musical mind, and then runs it all through her heart to convey all the right feelings needed for the song. The result is always like this almost unheard of, grown up musical treats. From this 6, 7, 8 ,9,10,11 or 12 year old phenomenom. Although as she turned 10 - 11, I was already about to understand that this simply was her way, and what she actually was capable of doing. Or should I say, what she was born to do. This last decade she has continuously brought me amazing surprices, in what songs she chooses. How she chose to perform them. And not at least, how she has been abel to renew them, or perhaps revitalize them. For ten years she has brought beauty and joy, amaizment and plenty of gossbumps. And not to forget; - always great smiles to my face. I am so looking foward to the next 10 years. And the next ten after that. It`s such a blessing to have this girls music and her loving heart, in OUR TIME 👣 🤗

Most if not all of the KZbin videos of young Angelina singing in her home were one-take wonders. Apparently, she just listens to songs and when she hears one she really likes, she records herself singing it. Maybe one or two takes, but it’s so simple for her: hear it, like it, sing it!

Hi Sonic! "I Who Have Nothing" was adapted from an Italian hit song, and first recorded in English by Ben E King in 1963, where it reached no.29 on the Billboard Top 100. The same year, Welsh singer Shirley Bassey recorded the song, and it reached no.6 in the UK Charts. Seven years later in 1970, Tom Jones also covered the song and it reached no.16 in UK and no.14 on the US Billboard charts. The version that Angelina sings in this performance at age 6, matches the voice intonations used by Shirley Bassey in her recording. I suspect that Angelina's grandmother may have owned the Shirley Bassey album concerned. Angelina has long been a fan of Shirley Bassey, and has performed others of her hits such as the Bond themes "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Goldfinger".

Think about this. No one in the family is a singer or a musicians. They are supporting her drive her passion. The Tom Jones version is the most famous. Worth watching. At this age she liked Shirley Bassey Tom Jones, Amy Winehouse, Louis Armstrong, amongst others. For me its yhe emotion and meaning she puts into the words. She is not just singing it.

Thank you for reacting to this. Her reaction at the end was so telling. Any normal 6-year-old would simply be thrilled they had sung this, but our Angelina is not quite satisfied with the result. That is why she has become a star - always looking to make it better.

She reminds me of Sir Tom Jones singing this although it has been said she was using Dame Shirley as inspiration. Regardless, the budding talent in evidence is beyond comprehension. Recommend you listen to one of the other versions, the song dynamics are pretty extreme. She is not hyping the song in the least.

She was at her after school music lessons ,They had a small studio there, she never had voice lessons it was mostly music theory and composing, they were taught to break a song down completely... study it.. then put it back together with their own interpretation, and only then Perform it. Angelina was a very apt pupil, she has always listened to what she's taught, you can see it in all her songs, everybody sees how she puts her own spin on what she sings, just like they taught her... of course it helps if she is a prodigy ... lol

She is considered a one shot artist in the studio, by that I mean the performances don’t need adjustments because her singing is right in the money. There are a couple of videos where the sound techs say there is nothing that they need to do to improve her sound.

This is a standard rendition of this song, amd😮 the original American version was sung by Ben E King in the mid '60s, and then covered again by Tom Jones in the late '60s. I would suggest that if you have the time,😮 you check out both versions, and I'm sure they can both be easily found on KZbin. For a child of that age to be attracted to a song like "I who have nothing", is extraordinary in it of itself, and it shows her sophisticated taste from the time she was a toddler. The initial version, "Uno dei Tanti", was performed by Joe Sentieri in 1961. The song first recorded in English by Ben E. King in 1963 with new lyrics by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Then Shirley Bassey recorded the song with producer George Martin as the song by Ben E. King was rising in the chart in the US, and released the song in the UK in September 1963, Then Tom Jones recorded a version which was released in 1970. The song is the title track of his album I Who Have Nothing. This became the most popular version of the song in the United States. Then Ms. Jordan preformed it at six years old, shining brightly. Contrary to what many fans believe, she was not 6, but rather late 7 or early 8 years old here. That can be determined by looking at the state of development of her permanent teeth and comparing that to known references like her NGT performances.
