She is the result of three generations involved in music. Her grandmother is a known jazz singer who has been her vocal coach over the years. And her parents have always supported her since she almost was a baby when they discovered how easy she had picking up music and sing to it.

The studio she's in is at "Kulturskolen" in Oslo (public school for extracurricular studies of music and other performing arts) and the technician is one of the teachers at the school. Conversation after the song (thanks to another fan who knows her well): After the song Angelina: Was it ok? Tech: I think it was very good for being a first take. I think it was absolutely fantastic. There were some problems in the middle section ... Angelina: Yes, because ... Tech: You stumbled on the words. What do you think yourself? Angelina: Well ... it was .... fine, except for that sentence...

And what it also shows -is that in every community in very rich and fortunate Norway, there is a "cultural school", an evening school for kids, free of charge and with professional teachers and professional equipment. I´m an artist, a painter and I also work with sculpture. A lot of us are hired in to teach kids in the arts, dancing, music, acting, painting, writing and more. Nice and important work opportunities for artists -and nice for the kids to get high class artists as teachers for free. Here you see Angelina in a studio in on of our many art schools. It is so much better to use the money this way, than on tax reductions for rich people. I love it.

They used the original track. And she at 6 years of age is reading off something and singing in perfect armory with the music. The power and emotions in her vocals. This is in English. That’s not her language. Find a child of that age who can do all that. That was the sigh of greatness

The depth and richness of her voice at this age is just mind blowing. When she drops into that deep powerful voice at 3:05 it amazes me every time. I think she is able to hit some part of her voice box that few have access to, but even that alone doesn't give you an Angelina. She also has this incredible sense of timing and where to leave space, and how to attack certain words. When you look at these early videos, it seems like she was just born with all that, but you can find videos even earlier than this, and her progression is apparent. She was born with a gift for sure, but I think something "clicked" with her around this age and she catapulted into a whole new level.
@johnbattles10023 жыл бұрын
Rusty, I've been thinking of what you said here about something "clicked" with her at this age of six. And I'm wondering if one of the things that "clicked" and gave her that special "something" could have been what I would call an "empathy factor." And I'm also wondering if that empathy factor came to full clarity within her heart upon her encounter with the little homeless girl upon whom she bestowed her precious and selfless act in giving her shoes away, and the determined vow which followed. Just a thought.
@Dave-jo1hf3 жыл бұрын
@@johnbattles1002 It's my belief she is an Intuitive Empath. It's the only way to explain her ability to project emotions she has never experienced herself. I only hope she learns how to control it. Many empaths become depressed and some even suicidal.
@RustyShacklefordChannel3 жыл бұрын
@@johnbattles1002 This seems like a solid theory. If you look at the accurate timeline, that incident would have happened even before her earlier recordings ("hurt", "rollin' in the deep", "skyfall"). In those you can tell she is really feeling it, and she is pouring her whole heart into it, but the vocal development is just not quite there yet. I think she had it inside her even then, but hadn't quite pinned down the mechanics of expressing it. Something happened in those months between those recordings and this one that let her take leaps forward in her ability. It was likely a product of finding the right teacher(s) that taught her the techniques she needed to express what she heard in her head all along.
@johnbattles10023 жыл бұрын
@@Dave-jo1hf , thank you so much for this! When you mentioned the possibility of empaths becoming depressed, I thought of another singer as well -- Elvis Presley. I believe he was an empath too, who desperately loved others and desired to be loved. He grew up dirt poor in Tupelo, MS, and Memphis, TN. When he became famous and rich, he literally gave millions away in various ways to family, friends, charities, even total strangers because he felt their pain of poverty or lack as well, and his heart went out to them. In all this, with the loss of his mom, his marriage, his health, depression began to seize him and plunged him into an ever-widening downward spiral. I pray and hold to the hope that a similar course never awaits Angelina somewhere down the road. It would literally break my heart!
@johnbattles10023 жыл бұрын
@@RustyShacklefordChannel , thank you so very much for your reply! I know you're one very busy person! Thank you for reminding me, too, of "Hurt" and "Skyfall"! I'd forgotten those! And I believe you are correct in your observation that she had it inside all along. Then, the mechanics / techniques were tweaked by some great teachers / mentors which allowed her to dovetail her beautiful heart full of emotions, kindness, humility, and grace with her equally beautiful, emotional, graceful vocal abilites. The cage of a cute little kitten was opened (in a vocal sense) one day; but instead of a kitten, out stepped a graceful lioness in all her regal majesty.

English is I believe her 3rd language, and here she is at six reading and singing the words in English. I'm not sure I could read in English at that age. lol. She is 6 when she goes in, becomes this timeless entity as soon as she opens her mouth to sing, then reverts back to a 6 year old when she's done.

Not nervous at all, just so excited to find herself in her true living element, in a real studio recording with grandma Mery, her coach, her friend, her kindred spirit! Little Angelina will show her many times that she's got it, to not worry, that everything is going according to plan. See, when you have been blessed at birth with a veryspecial gift and when you know it confidently and assuredly, with not one ounce of doubt, then you go for it in live, fearless, boldly, heroickly, gallantly, valiantly and joyfully. O, how much I would love right now to have a daughter like her. Christmas request: Angelina, 12 years old, cover of James Brown's This Is A Man's World, with the military band of Norway. Thank you! I think you might have missed the joy and excitement she shows at ~3:23 (it's ok, you were rightfully shocked) after hitting what she was aiming for in the first verse. That shows her internal quality check. Even then, she knew what she wanted to sound like and knew when she achieved it. That awareness of and search for excellence has only grown stronger even as she also developed the fearlessness and confidence to "bring it" without holding back or limiting herself. Remarkable!
