Grandma was recording this on her cellphone. It wasn’t meant to be star quality. Just something so she would have a memory. There are many of those.

At most it was probably meant for only for posting on Facebook for family and friends. Once Angelina began to get some notoriety Grandma Mery probably decided to post it on KZbin because fans would be interested. The posting date is several years after the performance date.

To put this in context, this was her first studio performance, at the ripe old age of 6, when most kids would be battling through "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". And she was obviously beyond excited. This was a huge song which she managed amazingly well, all things considered, which still comes through despite the obviously amateur videography.

Angelina asked to be on Norway's Got Talent when she was 5 but the rules state that contestants must be at least 7! Here she is filling in that 2 years.

Totally disagree with your comments ! The sound quality was okay , the visuals were okay , and the voice was unbelievable ! This is a six year old prodigy in her first studio recording and it was magnificent ! Angelina delivers a masterful rendition of this classic Ben E. King song from the sixties ! This is the true essence of our barefoot princess and the beginning of our journey with Angelina Jordan ! I thank God for her grandmother Mery capturing this magical moment for all the angels to witness ! All reactors and vocal coaches are absolutely flabbergasted and amazed at this performance by Angelina at 6 years old ! This is one for the ages ! I heard only the voice of a gifted angel and nothing else mattered ! Your opinion is your opinion but I would say that many do not share your comments ! Yes, it's for her angels, and it's because she shares so freely and honestly that we love her, not just as Angelina the artist but as Angelina the person This is one of the main reasons why I really like Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones, but I don't just like Angelina, I care about her and I respect her.

Paul I have been on your channel from the beginning and while I agree with you that this is for Angelina fans and Angels. I also believe grandma Meri posted this to preserve the growth of Angelina for new fans and historians. Most reactors do not review the basis of a recording so they can honestly react to their first impression which you have done in this case. You’re also right that her tone and musicality and personality is still what we hear and see 10 years later.❤

Angelin can speak and read English before 6 yo! Her father has worked/lived in several countries during Angelina's young years. He works in the oil industry, and has traveled a lot! There is a video where Angelina is like 4 yo, she shows her room and her toys etc., there she speaks excellent English.

In the video that you are referring to where Angelina was in her room with her toys - she is actually 5 or close to 6 as she mentions Julliet when she opens her clothes closest - Angelina is about 6 years older than Juliette.

Others may not like it, but they can’t fail to be impressed by a six year old Norwegian girl, reading and singing the lyrics in English of a somewhat difficult song! ( I think I would have had difficulty with some of the words when I was six and I’m English! I’m biased I know, but I think it’s brilliant, grandma Mery recording Angelina on her cellphone in the school music studio , long before anyone had any idea how great she would turn out to be.

@unclecraggy Thank you. I am aware of her performances of "Hurt" and "Skyfall", but I thought they were all around the same time. However (although I can't be certain since the video recording was not very clear) in this performance, she looks considerably younger, and her voice and her singing are significantly less mature, than in the performances where we know she was 8 (e.g. "Summertime" at NGT, and "What A Difference A Day Makes" on the Allsang TV2 show in 2014).

There are probably other videos out there of Angelina’s classmates in the same school studio however they were never posted on KZbin because the child never became famous. They may even be poorer quality videos. Grandma posting this several years later is kind of like a parent posting videos of a famous athlete from when they were in pee wee sports.

This is apparently at the studio at her school it was probably just to get experience in the recording process. I don’t think the goal was to produce a recording for release.

In my opinion, this may be her finest performance considering all aspects of this video. Her singing a song like this and with the exception of messing up a small segment of lyrics, it was other worldly.

I agree with what Paul says. These performances are for the fans to cherish and not for reactions. While other channels may not mind , others might do. I would have sent Paul this video mentioning that he should watch this on his own if he wishes to. The quality is not professional and that is a fact. But we all do appreciate that it is on youtube for us to watch.

Have to completely disagree Paul...these are the very beginnings of this 6-7 year old recording a big song first time in a studio, sound quality is ok and Grandma a little unsteady on the camera but again she is likely a first grader here and we get to see just how talented she already is. This video has been featured on 1000's of reaction channels over the years and still is. As has been mentioned many times, not all of her recordings are going to be up to the standards people like, the fact that they exist is what is important.

Fans love their artists no matter what. They're never going to criticize anything that their beloved artist puts out. I, on the other hand, react honestly to what I'm hearing and seeing. If that's not your cup of tea, then you're going to be continuously disappointed by my reactions.

I have often been critical of many of her performances and not just poor Quality videos .many of her recent concert performances in las vegas was not to my liking and I expressed that opinion on many reactions often lambasted and verbally abused by other angels for doing so .as for you comments on angelina , honesty is fine but when you are informed and educated as to why a video may be of poor Quality , you don't seem to get it and keep repeating the same criticism in regards to poor quality videos . that is just plain silly and stupid as i stated you are going to be complaining a lot more because they're are many more videos of not so perfect Quality so unless you take the information given to you as to why a video is not a great standard in good faith it seem you will be repeating the same old criticism on a regular basis .

Let's be honest here, right. The quality of the video should be well and below anyone's interest here. Any reactor who can't appreciate what you actually get to hear (and see) here and disregard "poor quality sound and recording" is not really worth listening to. That being said, Tom, I am also one of those who aren't COMPLETELY blown away by her performances in Las Vegas, or some of her latest performances in general. (Unchained Melody at the Nobel Peace Prize concert is a HUGE exception) And I think anyone and everyone should be allowed to express their opinions about an artist's choices. But the video we are talking about here should never be judged by the quality of the video or sound IMO. It's borderline stupidity, the way I see it. Lastly, before anyone attacks me by saying that I am "one of those who'd wish she never grew up", I assure you that that couldn't possibly be ANY further from the truth 🙂

How many does it take to qualify as having the time to react? And since I read EVERY comment on EVERY reaction, I can tell you with confidence that the vast majority of fans, regardless of the artist they love, do not take kindly to the criticisms of their artist. There are the occasional outliers who will admit to the lower quality of some recordings but not many. 3) "honesty is fine but when you are informed and educated as to why a video may be of poor Quality " What you are doing here is asking that I alter my reaction based on prior knowledge of the quality of the video and the reasons for that quality, which you admit is "poor" So, you're asking me to ignore the poor quality of the video and say nothing about it. I assume what you want me to do (correct me if I'm wrong) is rave about how great Angelina is and not comment on all about any negative aspects of the video. If my assumption is correct, you're coming to the wrong channel. Here's what I actually said (taken directly from the transcript, "um I would say that this is a video for Angelina Jordan fans uh I certainly wouldn't use it to introduce her to anyone because the sound quality was horrible um it was uh subpar at best uh but you could still hear the elements of her voice that we all love that that wonderful uh the phrasing that she she uses when she sings That's just out of this world and basically all the elements of her voice that that we really have come to love are there and you can you can hear them but it's uh masked by the the poor quality of the sound and uh the goofy camera movements and all that it was obviously what what we might call a home movie right instead of a professionally produced movie but it's still Angelina and I still love her and I still love the sound of her voice and and that's worth listening to even when the sound quality of the recording is not that great so Angelina Jordan fans will like this one maybe other people won't so much." Given what I said, it seems that your complaint boils down to how dare you criticize Granny's home movie of a 6-year-old Angelina. I dare because I'm honest. It's what my viewers love about me. If that's not what you're looking for, then you probably want to avoid my channel.
