Great performance by Angelina as always. I believe this is the same vocal track as the previous video, just more contemporary instrumentation. This video seems to be meant to appeal to the younger audience which is a smart move. The other stripped down version may be meant more for her long time fans. Since this is a Toby Gad project, not an Angelina project, it would be interesting to know how much input she had on the two different styles

Nice reaction! This version is a much more commercial sounding song than the Piano Diaries Version. The instrumentation is very different but the song stills sounds great! This song is made to be played on the radio! This video was produced and directed by Toby Gad. Gad actually co-wrote this song. The other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. She had just broken up with the man that she loved. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while creating new music for her. The song called Bad Valentine will be released in a few months and that song is FIRE! Who is Toby Gad? Gad is a German music producer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. He is known for co-writing songs including John Legend's biggest hit, "All of Me", the fifth-highest certified single in RIAA history, and for co-writing and producing "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie and "If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé. This was her 4th performance of this song. The first performance in a small venue in LA. Her second performance on one of the biggest stages in the world when she performed it live with Toby Gad on Andrew Loyd Webber's theatre 'The Palladium in London. Angelina dropped her Official Music Video of 'If I Were a Boy' The Piano Diaries by Toby Gad. He co-wrote this song with B C Jean and it was made famous by Beyonce in 2008. Toby is working on a reimagining of 9 of his most famous hits and he chose Angelina for this 'reimagination' of this song. This was her second performance released on her Official Channel. They are currently working together on several more songs one of which she performed with her 1st performance of this song at a local nightspot in LA where she also performed this unreleased single called 'Bad Valentine which should be dropping in the next few months. There are also suggestions that they are actually collaborating on Angelina's New Album. Fingers crossed. We are hoping that will soon follow. Toby Gad is a world-renowned multi-Grammy winning songwriter and producer from Germany. I believe we are 'finally' at the precipice of Angelina's introduction to the World Stage and doing it with the power, class and emotion that only Angelina can bring. Both these covers are amazing but I prefer the stripped down version in the church. That version lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking her to sing this cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.”

Angelina is perfect,as always. But, I didn't like this version as much as the one shot in the church. Why? B/c the upbeat pace of this version drains some of the emotion, IMO. Also, the mix of various sounds overshadows her voice more than in the other version.
