I hope her plans in the future are for her to write her own songs with possible help from other songwriters. I don’t think she wants to be just a vocalist that has people write songs for her I think songwriting is too important to her as her songs are personal and come from her journals and she has said that she has anlr written over 100 songs.

Es ist fantastisch, daß Angelina so eine Plattform in England kriegt und von einem (glaube ich) relativ bekannten Interviewer mit interviewet wird. Auch wenn er keine Ahnung hatte, wer da gerade neben ihm sitzt!! :D In den kommenden Jahren wird er sich dieses Interview angucken und denken, hätte ich doch mal EIN WENIG mehr Recherche betrieben vorher.... Aber am Ende, als der Chat ihn sozusagen mit der Nase drauf gestoßen hat, entwickelte er doch noch etwas mehr Interesse an ihr. Es ist immer wieder ein Genuß zu sehen, wie bedacht und tiefsinnig sie ihre Worte wählt, und dem Fragenden versucht, den komplexen emotionalen Gedankenprozess nahezubringen. (Mal sehen, wie in Zukunft der 1:30 Minuten gossip-Interviewer darauf reagieren wird...) Es ist unübersehbar, dass Toby "ein Angel" ist!!! Was könnte uns stolzer machen. Man hat das Gefühl, er kann gar nicht genug davon bekommen, Angelina zu loben und ihr Besonderssein hervorzuheben!! Er scheint vor Bewunderung, Stolz, Freude überzuquellen! *WHATAJOYTOWATCH* Dass seine Eltern Jazz-Musiker waren und er in diesem Umfeld aufgewachsen ist, macht natürlich sehr viel Sinn, und erklärt seinen Faible für Angelina! Sie ist wahrscheinlich DIE STIMME, auf die er sein Leben lang gewartet hat. Und wenn bedenkt, dass die beiden "a bunch of songs" schon zusammen geschrieben haben! In der kurzen Zeit!! *wow* Und was eine starke Aussage.... : Beyonce ist eine der besten Stimmen ihrer Generation... aber Angelina!!! .... "you chose who sings it better" "I AM a fan of Angelina" !!! *that's bold* And true of course. Ich fand auch wieder sehr bezeichnend für Angelinas Charakter, als sie sich _fast_ angewidert, aber mindestens ablehnend wegdrehte, als der Interviewer seinen niveaulosen "Witz" über Tobi's Finanzen machte! Er sitzt 2 hochemotionalen Ultra-Künstlern gegenüber, mit denen er grade über die Kunst zeitlose Musik zu schreiben philosophiert, und kommt dann mit diesem flachen materiellen Twist... Ihr Gesichtsausdruck spach Bände.

For those of you wondering about the look of the video, quite a number of Livestream viewers had issues with the color of the video for some reason when the Livestream started. The color of the video did not change back to normal until probably 45 minutes to 1 hour in to the Live, possibly even longer, from what I saw from the chats. James and I had this issue and there was nothing we could do. Amazon Music may replay The Ivors according the the host, so we'll see. The interview was really interesting. Angelina got caught a little off guard with the question about what was the first song she ever wrote. Does anyone know what that song was? 🤔🤔🤔

I don’t think we really know what the first song she wrote was. She may not even remember as she seemed a little caught off guard. It might be something she hasn’t recorded and maybe never will. On her It’s Magic album there were two originals. What Is Life and Oslo. She recorded them at 11 but exactly when they were written we don’t know. Even before Million Miles she also wrote and released Shield.

Sony AT and Republic Records, must work together somehow. I would like to know about this as well, what are their roles. I could be wrong, someone may correct me, but I believe Angelina was with Sony AT early on from the start in Norway with her album "It's Magic".

As I find nothing on regards to "Sony AT", I think she might have meant former "Sony /ATV", now Sony Music Publishing. According to Wikipedia, that's a music publisher, which is also explained in an article. My understanding is, that music publishers handle the intellectual property regarding the song itself, while record labels deal with the recordings. So, maybe simplified, Angelina is signed to Republic Records as singer, while she might have tasked Sony Music Publishing with handling her rights as a songwriter.

@@most2dot0 This is what I found, FYI, Sony/ATV was established in 1995 through a joint venture with Michael Jackson that brought together the original Sony Music Publishing with Jackson’s ATV Music. Jackson had acquired ATV Music, which owned the Northern Songs catalogue, in 1985. Northern Songs owned the rights to all the songs that John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote during their time with the Beatles. In 2016, 21 years after Jackson and Sony formed Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Sony bought out his half of the company in a deal netting the Jackson estate $750 million. Jackson first acquired ATV Music Publishing (New York, NY) February 10, 2021 - The Sony Music Publishing name celebrates its return after 25 years and introduces a new brand identity with a redesigned logo and revitalized mission.
