This performance, for many reasons, was very special to Angelina. Yes, she could have wowed us with power and belting, but she chose to handle it with care and tenderness. We can hear and feel the sadness and longing in her voice, crying out for the release of Narges and for her return to her family. The Nobel committee made the right choice in choosing Angelina for this occasion.

Every time I listen to her performance for this concert I am blown away by the utter beauty of her, her voice, the orchestra, this performance. I'm not sure our ears can feel more love than this. The recipient for this year's award was Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian dissident, now in an Iranian prison for her outspoken messages and activism for women's rights. Narges' two twin children spoke on her behalf at this event prior to Angelina's singing. They are Angelina's age and haven't seen their mother in years. She was able to speak with both before her performance. I'm sure this performance was a very poignant moment for Angelina--one quarter Iranian herself, and whose grandmother Mery is full Iranian. If you watched any of the videos of Angelina, you know the love between her and her grandmother is palpable--it's a beautiful thing to behold. I loved everything about this performance, and I appreciate your obvious appreciation as well

Not even Bobby Hadfield's 'Gold Standard' rendition of Unchained Melody reaches the furthest depths of my inner being with the degree of emotion laden penetration that Angelina achieves here. It is a perfect tribute for Narges Mohammadi, who is the 2023 recipient of 'The Nobel Peace Prize'. She is languishing in an Iranian prison for simply trying to improve women's rights in Iran. I'm sure that the fact Angelina's beloved grandmother, Mery Zamani, is also Iranian, affected the amount of emotion Angelina brings to her rendition for it is truly mesmerizing.

Thank you, also, for taking the time to go through the history leading up to this magnificent performance. Only by understanding the background can you get the full impact of the reverence, pathos and profound emotion she poured into this performance, dedicated to the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Narges Mohammadi, who is locked up in an Iranian prison for no other "crime" but fighting for women's rights in Iran. Could you imagine the emotions going through Narges' two children, there in the audience (they were there to receive the prize in their mother's absence). They now live in exile in France and have not seen their mother in years, hence the appropriateness of the lyrics. This breathtaking, soul-stirring, heart-searing performance, so delicately and beautifully delivered by Angelina, sounded almost like a prayer. What an amazing way to start the new year!

What a way to bring in the New year. Angelina Jordan singing one of the most iconic songs ever with this performance for one of the most prestigious award events of the year. Being in her hometown of Oslo, singing for an Iranian imprisonment human rights activist. Angelina's roots and DNA are part Iranian through her grandmother. Mery. Singing this song "Unchained Melody" about an imprisoned person longing to be on the outside with family and friends. This was the perfect moment in time. Bringing a young magnificent artist with a fabulous orchestra singing. an iconic song and honoring and paying homage to this Nobel Peace prize recipient. Doesn't get better than this guys. Angelina was eloquent, exquisite and stunningly beautiful. She slowed this song right down and brought her soul into our hearts so beautifully. I think this was her finest live performances ever!! We watched Angelina transform from the barefoot princess into the Goddess of Music with this emotional presentation of Unchained Melody. You are the ONLY reactor who has used James’s video to give background on this beautiful human being and why she was chosen a second time before the age of eighteen to perform at the Nobel Awards. Every time I see a new reaction video I watch it, and this one is by far the best. I have been to your channel before but never subscribed, however, you now have one more addition to your family of viewers. I can’t count the number of times I have watched Angelina (I refuse to call her AJ) sing this masterpiece and get teary eyed, but you and your your reaction to our young goddess got me actually crying, so thank you for that and I hope that this is the start of a very good NEW YEAR for you and yours.

I thought it might throw folks for a loop - I am a jokester and like to have a little fun ! I think people don't much expect the person who created the video to show up and begin just talking to them ! My top-3 AJ performances are more than 150. I understand the joy of a young person performing at the Nobel Prize. Oddly, the fortune of Alfred Nobel came from selling explosives during the WWI. He killed more than 200 of his own workers. His trace of death and horror still provides dividends, which are used to pay the large amount of money in prizes every year. Not to mention there's not a Nobel prize for maths still nowadays, because his jelousy. It's a bittersweet experience to see AJ in this environement. She probably doesn't know the history behind the story.
